Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) posted a video on social media on Wednesday in which she called President Joe Biden “a piece of sht.” The video was posted on Gettr, a new social media platform launched by former Donald Trump adviser Jason Miller. “Joe Biden, you’re not a president,” she said in the 17-second video filmed at a gym. “You’re a piece of sht. Thousands of Americans are stuck over there in Afghanistan and you’re letting the Taliban kick your ass while you’re lecturing governors about masks and vaccines. Do your job. Bring these Americans home.”

With U.S. troops fully out of Afghanistan by President Joe Biden’s Aug. 31 deadline, House Republicans who opposed the withdrawal date are full of rage — and planning a variety of legislative tactics to get a better understanding of the situation.
GOP lawmakers say they want to hold the administration accountable for failures in the withdrawal’s execution that left 13 U.S. service members dead and hundreds of Americans still in the country.
President Biden called a Black adviser "boy" during a Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) briefing on Monday.
The president used the term while introducing his senior adviser Cedric Richmond, a former Louisiana congressman.
"I'm here with my senior adviser and boy who knows Louisiana very, very well and New Orleans, Cedric Richmond," Biden said at a press briefing with FEMA after Hurricane Ida rocked Louisiana.
The White House said Monday that roughly 6,000 Americans have been evacuated from or otherwise left Afghanistan and that a “small number” of U.S. citizens who want to leave remain in the country.
“Of those who self-identified as Americans wanting to leave the country since Aug. 14, we have thus far received confirmation that about 6,000 have been evacuated or otherwise departed. This number will likely continue to grow as our outreach and arrivals continue,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters during a briefing.
Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson (R) published a video to Twitter on Monday excoriating the Biden administration and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Jackson said he has constituents “trapped in Afghanistan” who are receiving no help from the Biden State Department, despite numerous dangerous stops at the Kabul airport. He also slammed Pelosi for her inaction in seeking answers to the disastrous withdrawal.
The Pentagon said Monday the U.S. had completed efforts to evacuate its remaining civilians and troops from Afghanistan, effectively ending the longest war in American history.
“I’m here to announce the completion of our mission in Afghanistan,” Marine Corps General Kenneth McKenzie told reporters in a virtual briefing. "The last C-17 took off at 3:29 pm."
The departure of the last U.S. plane from Afghanistan capped a bloody and chaotic end to the conflict. In the war's final weeks, fighting and terror attacks amid the scramble to evacuate thousands of Americans and Afghans left 13 service members and hundreds of civilians dead.

President Biden blew off a question about Afghanistan after offering to take questions at the Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters in Washington on Sunday.
Biden was at FEMA to address the response to Hurricane Ida, which strengthened to a Category 4 before making landfall in Louisiana earlier Sunday.
"I’m not supposed to take any questions but go ahead," Biden told Bloomberg News reporter Jennifer Jacobs.

I ask this question for two reasons:
I have seen enough videos and read about enough officer-civilian interactions to know that the act of subduing a lethal threat requires several rounds.
If an intruder entered my home and threatened my wife and child, I would shoot until I was able to ensure the target was immobilized.
As to the first statement, there are plenty of examples of police officers firing multiple shots at a suspected threat. In the past year, the American public has been thoroughly able to parse through the shootings of criminals like Breonna Taylor and Antonio Brown, to name just two examples.
