US defense officials in charge of evacuating Americans and Afghan refugees from Taliban-held Kabul claim they'll remove 5,000 every day but so far, they've only rescued 1,400 since Sunday and as many as 40,000 remain stranded. At a briefing on Tuesday morning, US Army Major General Hank Taylor revealed 700 people were flown out of the region overnight on seven C-17 jets. The number included 165 US citizens and the rest were for foreign nationals. He claimed between 5,000 and 9,000 people will be removed every day on one flight per hour but there was no sign of any US plane at the airport on Tuesday while

Why are we flying out foreign nationals before US citizens? The only way you are going to reach those numbers is to stuff them into the C-17s 700 at a time.

Afghanistan is the 100% the failure of the United Nations. You can't trust that group with running a lemonade stand much less securing the peace of nations. Relocate them to Islamic countries, not the USA.

Evacuating Americans is one thing; flying out the cowards who won't fight for their own country...why? They weren't OUR allies in the fight for their country and society; the US was THEIR ally. We did our best. Had Afghans created a supportable national government and a security force, this would have been avoided. They can surrender those "Live Free or Die" license plates for "Allahu Akbar".

A. How are we feeding and providing sanitation facilities for the 10,000 to 20,000 people jammed into the airport in addition to caring for our 6,000 military personnel? B. How are we screening for Taliban and al Qaeda supporters among the throng? C. How are we screening for the virus and other diseases amid the chaos. D. What are we to do with the 40,000 to 80,000 Afghan refugees who have almost nothing once they are evacuated? Will they simply be flown into US bases in Virginia and Wisconsin and then be released? The costs will be enormous. Biden’s folly is just beginning.

The evacuation will be slower that we expect - - because the generals have to give priority to those needing sex-change operations - - and - - they have to weed out White Rage. Once those things are done - - everything will be super-smooth.

What in the heck were 40,000 people doing strolling around like tourists in a collapsing war zone? I have some difficulty believing that this is a valiid number of actual Americans who need to be rescued. I suspect that they are padding the numbers with massive numbers of Afghanis who will be troublesome if brought here. The last thing we need is more Muslims.

After Biden shut down all the military bases I assumed there were only a couple hundred people left - at most. Maybe the State Dept flew people in and out of Kabul all the time so they could claim ''I was in Afghanistan'' and crown themselves as foreign policy experts.

The Taliban guy shown in one of the pix has a M16, and is US trained. He clearly has learned his weapons handling from US trainers, just from that photo. I'll bet that 90% of the "good Afghanis" that we trained were actually Taliban all along.

Cornyn incorrectly stated in this tweet that 30,000 American soldiers are stationed in Taiwan, roughly the same amount stationed in South Korea.

I mean, you’ve got to be kidding me. In the friendliest of settings, Joe Biden still just doesn’t get it. An interview with former Clinton operative George Stephanopoulos shows a president who simply cannot take responsibility for his screw-up. We have at least 10,000 Americans trapped in Afghanistan. There seems to be no solid plan to get them out safely other than entrusting the Taliban, a terrorist group, not to attack them as some undoubtedly are trying to make their way to the airport in Kabul. Then again, our government said that they cannot guarantee their safety.

Joe Biden and his media acolytes call him Mr. Empathy and Mr. Compassion. His Afghanistan speech yesterday told a different story, and should end that phony spin forever. My takeaway was how cold, and hard, and compassionless Biden was as he sought to extricate himself from the catastrophe of his own making. He blamed everyone but himself for his failure, particularly the Afghan army. He smarmily assured terrified Afghanis left behind he'd now speak out for their human rights instead of actually protect them. He effectively told U.S. servicemembers their service was for nothing.
