The Pentagon said Wednesday morning that between Tuesday 3 a.m. and Wednesday 3 a.m., the military evacuated about 2,000 from the Kabul airport, including 325 Americans. That small number of Americans is compared to the estimated 11,000 Americans trapped in Afghanistan, following the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan and the Biden administration’s disastrously-executed withdrawal.“Eighteen C-17s have departed in the last 24 hours. These flights have carried around 2,000 passengers, and I can confirm that 325 of those passengers are American citizens,” Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said

325 Americans so far. Biden you cheater, you impress. That gets us down to less than 10,000 Americans. So the rest were Afghans hanging on to the side of the C-17s and those who bulled their way on board?

Paraphrasing Biden: "If those 10,675 Americans were too cowardly or weak to fight their way to the airport, to board a plane that I graciously sent them, it's their own fault they are still there - and Trump's fault, too."

I read recently that Pope Francis - referring to some dictum or other he issued, said, "I want it to be confusing." The person who heard the Pope say those words was unnamed (fearful of reprisal, I guess), but I trust his word. When this Pope, who chooses not to use the title, "Vicar of Christ", wants confusion, you can guess that he is one of many who have decided order is out and and disorder is in, so "they" can reach some goal yet to be announced When you remove the military first without having a plan to remove the innocent, that's confusing, and when only 325 of 2000 people flown out of Kabul are American citizens, it gives another reason to scratch your head. Maybe it is just easier to control a mess.

Osama bin Laden banned al Qaeda from assassinating Joe Biden because the Democrat would become an incompetent president and 'lead the US into a crisis' if jihadists were successful in killing Barack Obama. Bin Laden made the remark in a 2010 letter that was found in a trove of documents at the Pakistan compound where he was killed by US special forces in 2011. The document was first made public in 2012 but has been brought back to light and given new significance amid the chaotic US withdrawal from Afghanistan that has gifted the country back to the Taliban.
