Vice President Kamala Harris made a pointed gesture of support Tuesday for Texas Democratic legislators who are on the lam after bolting quorum to prevent enactment of new voting restrictions. The White House didn't publicize the meeting until minutes before it occurred – after the runaway lawmakers flew to Washington by private jet after blocking the legislation, infuriating Republicans. Harris dropped in on a meeting the lawmakers were holding in D.C., where she gave full-throated support to their actions, even with the Texas House voting to arrest them when they return home.

A $200 a night hotel in DC is a Holiday Inn. They must be so disappointed after flying in on the private jet paid for by the Democrat caucus.

Kamala "Heels Up' Harris was selected to be VP for one reason. And only one.
Oh BTW, July 12 2021:
"Federal transportation mask mandates apply to charter flights operated under 14 CFR Part 135, as well as to private jet terminals (FBOs). They do not apply to Part 91 aircraft operated for personal, non-commercial service.
Nearly three quarters of formal passenger incidents reported to the FAA this year have centered on masks. The FAA has proposed fines up to $10,000 per person. Does anyone want to take bets on whether the administration seeks fines against the passengers on this flight since not a single one appears to be wearing a mask?"

so the hotel bill is $10,500 a day assuming they each have a room. or have they paired up. since they are of both sexes, un-chaperoned on a junket I would not be surprised if some of the rooms were unused...

The criminal jet-flying Texas legislative members hoped to remove a quorum in he statehouse. They failed. Secondly they will be arrested upon return to Texas. Thirdly, they left as a protest regarding an election bill that would make absentee-ballots more secure.

They took the jet to DC, and getting out of the plane they spotted a microphone. Making a bee-line to the mike, the spokesman cleared his throat and solemnly told us what a noble thing it was that they were doing. It's hard, but we feel up to it, he said.

Just the latest effort of the media to create and focus on the new "shiny object" to take the heat of of Commie-la-la's dereliction of duty to stop the INVASION of illegal aliens at the Southern border and to minimize the people in Cuba demanding freedom from government oppression of the rights of the citizens.
They are hoping American citizens don't wake up to the fact that they are attempting to impose a federal restriction to fair elections by allowing for cheating and going around the rules and laws rightly enacted by each State's Legislature.
What is going on in the Texas Legislature is to make voting hours standard in Texas, making sure that Absentee Ballots By Mail are certifiably the actual person, eliminating the restrictions on observers not being allow access to see and hear the tallying of ballots, and other measure to true the process so there are NO questions that the laws enacted are followed.
Follow the money. These persons are not oppressed in the least. Others are using them as pawns. They identify as "heroes" but are in fact law-breakers calling attention to THEMSELVES.
Governor Abbott will continue calling Special Sessions until this legislation is enacted. They simply don't have the votes to stop the passage of this effort at Election Integrity. At some point, they will return and have to vote. They have tried these efforts of leaving Texas before, and each time they have failed with their staged media circus.
