FAA Deals $10,000 Fine to Airline Passenger
over Mask Refusal

The Federal Aviation Authority announced on Tuesday that it dealt an airline passenger a $10,500 fine for refusing to cover his nose with his mask and allegedly intimidating a flight attendant. The FAA said in a press release that flight attendants on an Allegiant Air flight from Utah to Arizona repeatedly told the passenger to cover his nose and mouth with a mask, however the passenger immediately “moved it off of his nose after the flight attendant walked away.” Flight attendants then told him they would have to file a disturbance complaint, however the passenger “argued” and “claimed that it was fine just over his mouth.”

I see no reason why anyone would patronize these airlines anymore. To hell with them. Flying as a general experience pretty much sucked before COVID, now you also have to contend with the maskholes pushing some science that has been proven to be crap over and over. Starve the airlines. Let them go bankrupt. They will stop whoring for FedGov when their bottom line is affected.

There are many studies that say masks do not stop a virus. A virus is 1/millionth of an inch in dimension. A mask is incapable of stopping it either from being inhaled or exhaled. Case dismissed on appeal.

This is the jackboot of an oppressive government coming down on the neck of the individual for pure political reasons. If the FAA are so darn concerned with air quality and the spread of the virus, they would mandate that the airlines do a much better job with air filtration and cleaning. Shouldn’t they be required to use whatever method they can find to keep the air as clean as possible. I will not fly because I refuse to wear a mask. It inhibits my ability to breathe which I consider something that is essential to my good health. Once again, government tyranny rears its ugly head.

I have given up flying. Even in better times, flying was miserable. I will not pay to be abused. I use alternate transportation when I can or stay home (cars, trains and buses). I remember train travel when I was a small child. You could view the scenery from the window, get up and walk around, eat, sleep and you were close to the ground.

The last time I flew commercial was from DFW to PHX in 1995 to attend the NRA convention. I’m not afraid of flying, as I have made over five hundred skydives in the last twenty years and crewed helicopters in the Marine Corps (Corpse) prior to that. It’s simply that the government and the airlines have made flying a humiliating ordeal. If I cannot reach my destination by car, I don’t go.

The adult passenger agreed to the rules when he purchased his ticket. The plane is the airline's property, leased or owned. The airline should be able to impose mask rules if it chooses. If the passenger didn't like it, he should not have purchased the ticket. And I hate wearing a mask. But I've been willing to wear one if that's the rule on the property I'm occupying. You can argue all day that the masks are not helpful, but when the Dr. Fauci types insist that the mask is effective, the airlines have to go with what the Fauci's and the FAA require. That's not a hill I'm willing to die on. Protesting by pulling the mask down from the nose is childish.

In a last ditch effort, Democrats in the Texas state legislature reportedly plan to walk out of a special session to prevent a number of key Republican-sponsored bills from passing. At least 58 Democratic state lawmakers plan to leave Texas and fly to Washington, D.C. to rally support for federal legislation, NBC News first reported. Most of the fleeing state lawmakers will travel on a pair of prearranged private jets, the New York Times confirmed. By exiting the chamber indefinitely, the Democratic lawmakers are denying the Texas GOP quorum, or the minimum number of members that must be in attendance to hold a valid session.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Monday accused the U.S. of provoking social unrest in his country, one day after thousands of Cubans took to the streets to demand an end to the Communist dictatorship that has oppressed and anchored citizens in poverty for decades. During a live television broadcast, Diaz-Canel said the U.S. has pursued a “policy of economic suffocation to provoke social unrest in the country.” The statement came as President Joe Biden expressed support for the demonstrators in their fight against a corrupt authoritarian regime. “The United States calls on the Cuban regime to hear their people and serve their needs at this vital moment rather than enriching themselves,” Biden said.

As we previously reported there are thousands out in the streets across Cuba, from small towns to big cities, calling for freedom from the Communist government and chanting “we are not afraid!” People are saying it’s the largest mass protest since 1959. If you know your Cuban history, that’s the last time the government changed hands — when Fidel Castro took power. So, that’s an incredibly significant thing to say. From NY Times: Carolina Barrero, a Cuban activist, went even further. “It is the most massive popular demonstration to protest the government that we have experienced in Cuba since ’59,”

Earlier today, demonstrations against Cuba’s Communist dictatorship broke out across the island. The New York Times, long an apologist for Castro’s tyranny, acknowledges the current reality: Shouting “Freedom” and other anti-government slogans, hundreds of Cubans took to the streets in cities around the country on Sunday to protest food and medicine shortages, in a remarkable eruption of discontent not seen in nearly 30 years. Heh. Yes, “Freedom” is an anti-government slogan. The Times, though, is pretty much always on the side of government, especially when the government is socialist. “The people are dying of hunger!” one woman shouted

If you want to stick it to big corporations and rein in their real or perceived abuses, use your political prowess and the laws of your own sovereign country to do it. Instead, the Biden administration wants to sidestep this responsibility and cede U.S. corporate tax policy to create a new global corporate tax rate. Price-fixing tax rates, if you will, would make it harder for companies to jump to cheaper countries to do business. Instead of competition, this group of nations seeks to make businesses their captives. This is not tax policy, it’s the establishment of a cartel.
