The U.S. Capitol Police will begin fielding military surveillance equipment as part of sweeping security upgrades as the police force pivots towards becoming “an intelligence-based protective agency” following the Jan. 6 attack. Defense Secretary Loyd Austin recently approved the Capitol Police’s request for eight Persistent Surveillance Systems Ground-Medium (PSSG-M) units. The system provides high-definition surveillance video and is enabled with night vision. The system does not include facial recognition capabilities, according to the Pentagon.(Snip)In a wartime application, the persistent surveillance units were mounted on tethered blimps. The data could be stored, combined with sensor data from other platforms, and later referenced or rewound

FTA; the difference here perhaps is that "The Nation is at stake." FTA: "Last month, a Federal Appeals Court ruled against a Baltimore Police Department’s use of persistent surveillance technology similar to the Pentagon’s “Gorgon Stare” technology, which incorporates wide-area motion imagery (WAMI) technology pods mounted on aircraft. The system allowed police to track hundreds of moving targets at once throughout a large geographical footprint. The court said the program was unconstitutional and violated the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable search and seizure."

The military under this woke piece of garbage has now become an enemy of the citizenry. It's one thing to militarize police depts. with surplus equipment (which is also questionable) but this is deployment of frontline battlefield gear against US citizens. This is a clear violation of the Posse Comitatus Act, and must not be allowed to stand.
If these scuzzbag politicians are this terrified of the citizenry, then GET OUT AND GO HOME. You are nothing but chicken-sht cowards afraid of the people you rule over, because you know that most of what you are doing is exactly opposite of what America wants.

History repeats itself.
First came the Reichstag Fire, a false flag op by the Nazi. Then came the defunding of police, who were replaced by the Gestapo in Hitler's Germany.
In our case the so-called insurrection can be substituted by the Reichstag incident.
This is what we will see. Pray for the USA!

Congrats liberals, you've weaponized our government.
Since you have surveillance on us, then at list you'll know who's going to take you out.

They want to destroy our local community police departments and replace them with their hand picked security force. From now on it will be a national police force, all doing the same thing, taking orders from the same person. We went to sleep in America and we woke up in the "Hunger Games" with the Peacekeepers in charge of "security". This is how it starts. Just a few stationed here and there and then more as they let criminals out on the street over and over again to terrorize us. They are setting us up to demand that the federal government take over and "protect" us. schumer wasn't kidding when he said they were going to "re-make America". It is happening now.

The GOP have broken serious pledges to us before, #9. They have been utterly disgraceful in their lack of fight about Pelosi’s turning the Capitol into an armed fortress. I want more than a talking point general pledge from these cowards come campaign time.

#18 - I am 100% done with them until I see action. I have heard their words, and for 30 years I have seen nothing from them. They wanted Trump out so they could go back to playing the party of opposition and enriching themselves.
Until I see action on why Americans are being held for nothing worse than a dubious charge of trespassing in the PEOPLE'S HOUSE, until I see action on stopping this ridiculous overreach of authority and the militarization of the Capitol, until I see action that doesn't include caving in to every whim of the left, the Republicans are dead to me.

Something smells. Pelosi and company (democrats) must be sweating the audits knowing the outcome. This must make them nervous. I can't think of any other explanation for her crazy behavior.

The fear is utterly huge in the leftists. They know they stepped in it. Arizona and Georgia audits must be compelling - the leftists sure are acting like it. They are hoping for nouveau Soviet gravitas, but they are still the old, but dumber version Soviet.

The blimps are called Aerostats and were/are used extensively in Iraq and Afghanistan. They work extremely well and I've seen some of the products. To teens: If you think you are taking the family car out to the hinterlands tonight with your girlfriend for a make out session an Aerostat will see everything. That's how ell it works. It's scary and makes me wonder if the "not winning the war" mode was really just a proving ground for domestic operations techniques and tactics.

One of those blimp like balloons was being tested outside Baltimore a few years ago. It was huge and just hung there in the sky for weeks. One could see it for miles. Then one day, the line holding it broke, and it drifted up into Pa. and caused some damage when it came down.

DeSantis needs to ban them from his state right now. California will, of course, welcome the new Gestapo.

They understand that Americans buying up 125 million new firearms in the last 5 or 6 years, and tens of billions of rounds of ammo in just the last 18 months was NOT because a lot of folk are taking up deer hunting.
The right kind of spark could set things off......just saying.

No facial recognition capabilities; that's a good one. There was a plot device not unlike this in Atlas Shrugged, where the government, which viewed the citizenry as the enemy, also deployed military weapons against them.
