Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) said Sunday on Fox 40’s “Inside California Politics” that Republicans and Fox News would not stop the investigation into the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill. Anchor Frank Buckley said, “Chairwoman Waters, as you know Republicans blocked the 9/11 style commission to investigate the January 6 attack on our Capitol. Late this week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced there will be a House Select Committee to bring together all of the House investigations under one umbrella. Are you satisfied that the House Select Committee will provide the answers about who is behind the attempt to stop the certification of Joe Biden as president?”

A Los Angeles County employee was arrested Monday in the City of Industry on federal charges alleging she was among the crowd that breached the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.
Lois Lynn McNicoll, 69, of San Clemente, a Department of Public Social Services employee, made her initial appearance in Los Angeles federal court following her arrest and was released on a $10,000 bond, according to FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.
McNicoll is charged in federal court in the District of Columbia with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, according to a federal criminal complaint made public Monday.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki Monday defended U.S. track and field star Gwen Berry's decision to turn her back on the nation's flag, saying Berry was seeking to "peacefully protest" the moments that Americans "haven’t lived up to our highest ideals."
Berry, 31, placed third over the weekend in the hammer throw during the U.S. Olympic trials, earning her a spot on the team. As the National Anthem was played, she turned from the flag.
As much as CNN likes to call out conservatives about fake news stories, CNN itself was labeled as fake news by President Donald Trump. He constantly condemned the fake news media, including CNN.
Trump’s huge rally in Ohio, didn’t get an audience on the three major cable news networks.
The reason: They didn’t carry it.

Firefighters were extricating dozens of people from a battered high-rise condominium building near Miami on Thursday after part of the structure collapsed into a mammoth pile of rubble leaving at least one person dead, authorities said.
Raide Jadallah, assistant fire chief of operations for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, said 35 people were pulled from the partially collapsed building at Champlain Towers South. Two more were rescued from the debris, he said. More than 80 technical and rescue teams were on the scene in Surfside, a few miles north of Miami Beach.
