With the release of Jill Biden's Vogue cover, Melania Trump remains the only First Lady in recent history not to be featured in the fashion bible during her time in the White House, but she was the one who allegedly turned down a shoot with Annie Leibovitz for the magazine because she wasn't guaranteed the cover. It was widely believed that Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour had snubbed Mrs. Trump by not asking her to be featured in the magazine, but her former senior adviser and friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff insisted that wasn't the case.Winston Wolkoff, who worked at Vogue for years before her foray into politics,

If that were true it would have been front page 24/ 7 for a year. These people are simply liars.

Not featuring her on the cover would still be a snub, not only that Vogue would have turned that into a hit piece anyway and would have made her look horrible.

Democrat first ladies (Clinton, Obama, Biden) are featured on the cover of Vogue, Republican first ladies (both Bush first ladies, and Trump) are offered photo shoots but no cover. Blatant bias on the part of nasty leftist Anna Wintour. Her magazine is a rag.

If true, couldn't blame her. The First Lady gets the cover, period.
They were planning a hit job and she rightly turned it down.

She saw Annie Leibovitz and knew it was a trap. Good for her! The story would have been a hit piece at any rate.

Isn't that the 'friend' that wrote a book trashing Melania?

"Dr. Biden, Dr. Biden, Dr. Biden," etc., ad nauseum. The writer of the article keeps spooning those words out of her syrup pot and dripping them liberally into the article. Hard to stomach after a while.

Vogue has lost their way. Rather than being a fashion magazine they have gone to their own heads. Taking pictures of models looking stylish is what they did well. Now, they are just confusing. And the ridiculous cover with “Dr. Jill Biden”. The more “Dr.” is used before her name the more gimmicky it seems.

I can believe the part about Melania turning down Vogue. The rest doesn’t matter and probably isn’t true.

It's a conservative, patriot who recognizes and avoids an ambush hit piece. It's always best to not give ammunition to the enemy. Vogue is trash like covers of Time, People, Sports Illustrated along with many others. When there are still articles being written about the black beauty Sasquatch Michelle Obama during the short four years of the Trumps in the White House you know the left was desperate and ready to do a hit piece on Melania Trump. In my lifetime Melania as First Lady was the most beautiful to ever grace the title and represent us, the USA along with her husband. I'm proud of her and President Trump.

Michelle was on Vogue cover 3X and covers 12X. And beautiful Melania could not get one. Do the magazines realize what half the country wants and should be part of their demographic target? It’s their circulation numbers, I guess, but it is sad that we couldn’t have enjoyed beautiful Melania while she was FLOTUS. Instead, the magazines began their ridiculous fascination with Meghan Markle and the royal family. I wondered if we had become British subjects?!

History will judge them harshly. Such petty behavior. 100 years from now people will not understand why there are no pictures of such a beautiful first lady.

A cover would have needed a favorable article to go with it. No guarantee would have meant a hit piece saying she was the green card bride of a powerful, superficial man who wanted eye candy on his arm. Nothing about her true attributes. Just mocking her relationship with her husband.
I grieve more for Melania than I do for Donald. He knew what he was getting into. Melania and Barron should have been treated with more respect by the press.

They really should be named "Vokue" for their relentless politicized leanings. And as a purported fashion magazine they should have an intervention with Anna Wintour for her perpetual and outdated "helmet head" look.

#5 nailed it.
I remember seeing a pic of Trump on the cover of one of the "news" magazines during the 2016 election. The caption was something like "Hater in Chief". No bias there, nah, never happens.

Stephanie Winston Wolkof publishes a tell-all book about a friend who trusted her, which tells me just what kind of friend she actually was. That’s pretty low rent if you ask me.

Some of the slimiest and unethical people in the world are ex-aids who write "tell-all" books about their former bosses. They are two-faced and lack any ethics or character. Interesting though that democrat ex-aids normally don't write those kind of books -- guess too steeped in the leftist doctrine.

Melania is a beautiful person and does not need Vogue or any other magazine cover to convey that.

Anna Wintour and friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff continuously lie. It is their nature. They hate DJT.
Crossing my fingers that Vogue goes out of business soon, real soon.
