There can be little doubt the United States is now in a contest with China over which will be the most important country in the world. In important respects, we are replicating the German challenge to the United Kingdom prior to World War I and the renewed German challenge of the 1930s, or the Soviet challenge for 45 years after World War II. A 5 cent per bullet tax will be proposed in Pennsylvania as part of legislation to be brought forth by two state House Democrats, Rep. Manny Guzman and Rep. Stephen Kinsey.
The tax would fund a state police database of ammunition sold in Pennsylvania.
The planned legislation would require ammunition manufacturers to encode ammunition provided for retail sale in Pennsylvania, and to provide ammunition serial numbers to the Pennsylvania State Police for the ammunition database. The plan was revealed in a joint memo to the state legislature by Guzman and Kinsey.
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf vetoed a Republican-backed election overhaul bill that would expand voter identification requirements, move up the voter registration deadline, limit the use of drop-boxes, and allow county officials to conduct early pre-canvassing for mail-in ballots, among other measures.
In explaining why he vetoed the bill, the Democrat governor wrote that he “made it clear I wouldn’t sign a bill that creates barriers to voting,” adding “that’s exactly what this bill does by: Limiting mail ballots, (Snip)

A federal judge has sided with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) in a First Amendment lawsuit, allowing the first-time Congresswoman to continue blocking a critic on her personal Twitter account.
Boebert, a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, blocked former state Rep. Brianna Buentello, a Democrat, after Buentello criticized Boebert’s remarks in the days leading up to the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol, calling her a “seditionist” and demanding that she resign.
Buentello sued on the basis of First Amendment rights, arguing that Boebert’s Twitter block was not an act of a private individual, but an act on behalf of the state, because Boebert uses her personal Twitter account
The Wisconsin Supreme Court recently rejected a lawsuit that sought to ban the state’s usage of absentee ballot drop-boxes, although another legal challenge on their use is still being considered in a lower court.

The Champlain Towers South condo association approved a $15 million assessment in April to complete repairs required under the county's 40-year recertification process, according to documents obtained by CNN.

A correspondence from the board president of Champlain Towers South, part of which unexpectedly crashed to the ground last week in Surfside, Florida, describes the decay at the building since 2018 saying, "the observable damage such as in the garage has gotten significantly worse since the initial inspection."
Board President Jean Wodnicki addressed the letter to neighbors April 9."The concrete deterioration is accelerating. The roof situation got much worse, so extensive roof repairs had to be incorporated," says the letter, (snip)

By now you may be sick of my recommending this book, but, seriously, Michael Pillsbury predicted all of this in his book The Hundred-Year Marathon: China's Secret Strategy to Replace America as the Global Superpower, published in 2015! I read it in an ebook via my public library. And online booksellers have it. This is all part of a long range plan that the CCP expects to culminate in 2049 with their being #1 in the world. I am about to read this book for the second time. It is not just a must read, but an essential read.
