“What is to be done?” That’s been the cry of revolutionaries from time immemorial: the malcontents, the aggrieved, the misfits, the morally wretched. From the beginning of the modern “progressive” movement—which occurred around the time Jean-Jacques Rousseau published “The Social Contract” in 1762, adumbrating the French Revolution—to the uprisings of 1848 across Europe, through the advent of “scientific” Marxism and the horrors of those deformed twins, Soviet communism and German National Socialism, the same desire to inflict punitive misery has marked nearly every “revolutionary” movement.

Start with the electoral system, otherwise we have no chance against Tammany redux.

If the GOP is to be relevant again then we the party members need to step up and reassert control of the party. Yes that means Trump can have his opinion but is NOT in charge...period. The party needs to recruit younger candidates and stop letting the geriatric crowd currently in charge pick who we support. I have no problem getting behind most of the articles authors ideas....but I believe we still need to allow mail in voting. I don’t buy all the hysteria about fraud around mail in voting. I have lived in two states where that was allowed and never saw a problem nor was I concerned about my vote being tampered with.

To #1's points... Trump earned his prominence and position not as a Republican but as a true, faithful, visionary Leader. An entire establishment top to bottom made it their daily mission to destroy him, but he went to battle every single day as our William Wallace. There is no reason for him to step back. If/when someone else rises through the ranks with an equal/greater level of ability and fortitude, I sincerely welcome that. But until it happens, Trump is at the top. He should be considered "geriatric" and be pushed to the side simply because of his age? Not in my opinion. We need a thousand more "geriatrics" just like him.

The people have been subjugated by a FEW trying to take over the country and spit on the US Constitution, and now, even the Supreme Court will NOT fulfill its duties required by the Constitution to hear disputes between States. Our country is in a desperate Constitutional crisis on the National level, with the wacko states trying to assert their political will upon everyone. In the mid-1950's we reached a point where there were more persons living in the city than in the rural areas. The national GOP iis being run by RINOs who are corrupted or turn a deaf ear to the people. The State parties have done likewise, with many lazy, long-serving representatives who cannot be removed from office through primaries because they hold large war chests, and they live on when the MANY challengers cannot secure a run-off, or they either do not retire, resign, or get caught in a scandal that requires them to vacate their office. Citizens MUST make sure we do not lose control of our local offices of Mayor, City Council, School Boards, and local boards and commissions-- Those folks are being infiltrated with propaganda from Agenda 21/2030 and getting campaign donations from persons seeking to infiltrate the local counties. Add in all the 'Zuckbucks' and the DISREGARD for Election Laws on the books and the near complete media collusion to prevent different opinions being aired or demonitized, and you can see that we need much more than looking at the federal level of engagement. The Vandals, Goths and VisiGoths invaded Rome and we are now at that point. We are being Coward-Pivened to our own destruction under the soft coup brought to us from stealing the election with unthinkable deviations from standard voting practice. Nice overview in the article of how Mr. Trump had potential Brutuses all around him which he did not realize until too late, although he tried to find the leakers

I agree we do not need to push Trump aside. He shook up the system that desperately needed shaking up. But we also should not make him our nominee in 2024. Trump was a great disrupter and that disruption needs to be followed by someone who can capitalize on it, and we have a half dozen or so solid conservative Republicans with the ability to do that who don't bring Trump's negative baggage along with them. Trump can still be a useful influence but we need to move to the next step.

Funny thing about freedom and liberty...bad ideas get advanced. Conservatives and "moderates" (better labeled the "Whatevers") stand by because they have nothing to offer but defense of the status quo when the public wants change and reform. While the left challenges and gains converts, the right assumes people will eventually see "the truth" and squelch the nonsense. Every "leader" believes God or the scientific equivalent is on his side, and many trust this assertion. "The People" let themselves down when they vote self-interest to get the "Free sh-tuff" offered from child subsidies to tax cuts. The People expect government to "do something" about everything they don't like. High-tech medicine costs money...so, let's get the government to pay for it. Free sh-tuff for the people. My taxes are too high...so, let's get government to cut them and either "soak the rich" or borrow more. COVIDS resulted in spending TRILLIONS across the Trump and Biden administrations. It wasn't money in some Treasury vault. The stuff was borrowed or manufactured. And let's declare everybody a HERO! You bag groceries. He delivers pizza. She drives a bus. Heroes ALL! Conservatives wanted government schools to teach "values". School boards voted it onto the mandatory curriculum. Just they weren't the values some had in mind. Don't like Critical Race Theory? Those are "values". "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard." H. L. Mencken well understood the relationship between politics and the public. The real revolution will toss aside ginormous, intrusive government...which employs millions directly and indirectly, usurping liberty. Let me know when the real patriots start watering that tree of liberty...oh, and support the blue...and the RNC.

Next time, don't let our government start a panic which resulted in a lockdown, and the loss of 60 million jobs. Some of those people probably voted for Trump in 2016, but voted for Biden in 2020 because they lost their jobs. The left will have another catastrophe in store for us in 2024. It was so successful before. We have to re-establish election integrity. Dominion should be banned. Whomever runs our elections has to be trustworthy, and not hard at work trying to steal elections. Mail in ballots need to be discontinued until ballot integrity can be maintained. Mail in ballots are clearly being used as a vehicle for voter fraud. Crackdown on BLM and Antifa which were being used as recruitment tools for the radical left. The radical left needs to be outlawed. We are not a Communist nation. Get the radical left rhetoric out of our schools. No more CRT. We do not teach hatred in our schools. Look how the left mobilized after they lost in 2016. The right has to be as mobilized as they are. That means the right has to be as united as the left is. That means we have to get rid of all the Republicans that side with the Democrats.

I agree the first step is to vote out anyone who voted to Impeach Trump. Find the very Best Conservative Candidates, fund them and Rally for them and vote out the Never Trumpers in Congress! The Liz Cheneys, Romneys and Murkowskies who pretend to be Republicans, but who more often vote with the Democrats. Enough! Once we have done that, we need to force State Legislators to clean up the Voting rolls, outlaw mail in Ballots and fire anyone who had anything to do with the Fraud in the last election. Get rid of the Governors who were complicit in allowing the Fraud to stand. Vote out the Sec. of States who also were bought off by Zuckerberg. We know who they are! GET OUT THE VOTERS! I would guess by 2022 the Voters will have enough of Biden and his Henchmen and what they are doing to this country. It's up to all of us to change things by VOTING! Nothing else we say or do is going to give us back the White House. And my opinion on that is yes, Trump could be president as far as I'm concerned. I would want him to have DeSantis as his VP so that he would be ready to step into the Presidency when Trump is out! I agree we need young blood in our Congress. Mitch needs to retire! He is in it for the Money! He did nothing to help Trump. We need a new head of the FBI. The AG and all of his Democrat attorneys need to be fired! and on and on and on! It's going to be a huge job to turn this country around....again!

I disagree #2. Trump was the result of voters being unsatisfied with how Congress was ignoring the American people and only being interested in their power and position. His negative baggage would only result in a very devisive election and could result in a Democratic victory. I prefer he stay on the sidelines, keep his mouth shut unless he can say something constructive and would support the candidate that we the party members choose.

There is no doubt that the Republican RINO situation can only be ended when the State Republican Parties start nominating good true conservative candidates, and not RINOS, through the State level Republican primary elections. As long as those State Republican Parties keep nominating wimpy RINOS who when they get elected and show up in DC start running across the aisle to effectively join with the leftist and socialist Democrats to pass left wing legislation, as long as the Democrats allow those RINOS a percentage of the action, the Republican Party will have no hope of ever taking back control of the Congress and the White House. If the Democrats are successful in passing their so-called election and voting rights bill (HR-1) that will only benefit leftist and socialist Democrat candidates by perpetrating mass fraud; along with Democrat path to citizenship “rolling” amnesty programs, for all illegal aliens now in the country, legitimately estimated to be about 22 million illegal aliens, along with all who are unlawfully being allowed into the USA by Biden, and untold others who will enter the USA in the future through both illegal and legal immigration, the wimpy Republicans will have no chance to win enough future elections to really matter. Since those Democrat amnesties will be designed to encourage, through all sorts of Democrat promises of new rights and free government money and healthcare services, the vast majority of those “New Americans” as the Democrats call them, to register as leftist and socialist Democrat voters in the years ahead. Any Republican opposition with be met with the Democrat “racism” defense that has always been effective and sent the wimpy Republicans to flee and hide under their mattresses until the Democrats got what they wanted and the smoke cleared. Biden and the Democrats are already moving to buy the 2022 election by greatly increasing the child tax credits for most parents depending on how many children that they claim to have, through direct payments and refunds after future tax returns are filed. You have to wonder how that news will be received throughout Central America and by the masses of prospective illegal aliens who are now on their journey to the USA or are in the process of unlawfully entering the USA or who are being flown by Biden to the USA at US Government expense. The rate of unlawful entries at the borderline per month by has now exceeded 180,000 mostly poor, uneducated, and socialist oriented illegal aliens. So the USA by not enforcing the borderline and the immigration laws is looking to increase the population of the USA by about 4 million such “New Americans” during the remainder of Biden’s first term. That’s a lot of prospective future leftist and socialist Democrat voters anyway you look at it.

it shocks me to read that a commenter is actually making the statement "Yes that means Trump can have his opinion but is NOT in charge...period." I like the idea that we can all express our opinions in a civil way on Lucianne.com but, in my opinion Donald Trump can never be replaced as the leader of this bunch of politicos in D.C. who have no idea what we, who actually make this country run, are thinking. Donald Trump was the bridge between us and them: he spoke out language and felt the way we felt and with a leader like him we have gone beyond the Rubicon into the land where we had/have someone as charismatic as Donald Trump -and- who considers us first, in all of his decisions. Donald Trump never cared who anyone was or what was the language they spoke or the color of their skin, he was the President of all the people and he demonstrated that ideology and governance of our country.

Take back the GOP and take back the country? In the article and thread no mention of the problem, money. Our politicians spend most of their time on the phone and in meeting soliciting campaign contributions. That is their primary job, They have aides and have outsourced the actual running of the country to PACs, Think Tanks, and Law Firms. Until the voters control the money forget about having any say in the government. Limit Political Contributions to come only from living citizens. No Corporate contributions and no PAC contributions. Limit contributions to come from only those living in the areas to be represented by the candidates. Local race contributions by local residents. State race contributions by state residents. National elections fair enough on national scale from citizens only. Break up Big Tech!!!!! These actions would be a start. The GOP as it stands without major changes in leadership will a continued sell out to the highest bidder.

Well don’t be shocked #12 if many people don’t think Trump was the second coming. He was the result of exactly what you said....speaking for people who felt they didn’t have a voice in Washington. People like a bigger than life character...which Trump certainly is. However it is my opinion that he is and can be a disruptive force, in a negative way, when it comes to the Republican Party makeing changes that will help us win elections. I do not believe that any candidate should feel that they have to “bend the knee” to Trump just to win his approval . The Republican Party is made up of voters like myself who back candidates who we believe will do what is best for this country. Trump is one man and gets one vote...nothing more or nothing less. I do not want a nasty devisive campaign in either 2022 or 2024 that is centered around a candidates personality which if Trump ran it would surely be.

On November 19, 2019, Nathaniel Pinnock was shot and killed by officers of the Los Angeles Police Department. Pinnock, 22, had robbed an auto parts store in Hollywood while armed with a machete and was walking from the scene when officers arrived and confronted him. Despite the presence of several officers, Pinnock refused orders to stop.[snip] The case of Ashli Babbitt, the Air Force veteran who was shot and killed by a U.S Capitol Police officer during the so-called insurrection of Jan. 6, has gone largely unexamined, either in the media or among the self-professed experts who find fault in even the most clearly justifiable police shootings.

In a measured presentation on the subject of vaccines delivered this February, Dr. Byram Bridle, a viral immunologist at Guelph University in Canada, expressed skepticism about these presumed vehicles of salvation. “I would probably prefer to have natural immunity,” he said. Confirming Bridle’s skepticism, a recent study from the Washington University School of Medicine finds there to be lifelong immunity after Covid, owing to natural antibody-producing cells rather than synthetic infusions. As Global Research explains, a major issue involved in rejecting the vaccines is that they are forms of gene therapy deputizing for vaccines and are potentially hazardous, “exotic creatures… that actively hijack your genes and reprogram them.”

“What is to be done?” That’s the question posed in a 1902 pamphlet by Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, better known as “Lenin,” as the young revolutionary began to flesh out his weaponization of Karl Marx’s principles of communism. It wasn’t enough, argued Lenin in typically turgid prose, to expect Russia’s nearly non-existent industrialized working class—the proletariat—to come to international Socialism on its own. Instead, he believed, the radical “Populists” who advocated the communization of the peasantry as a necessary first step were in fact advocating a form of capitalism—and that couldn’t be allowed to happen.

On June 6, 1944, the United States and its British and Canadian allies launched a long-awaited invasion of the northern European mainland, landing on five German-held beaches in Normandy. The invasion came just two days after U.S. troops liberated Rome and nearly four years to the day after the British had fled the continent from Dunkirk, to regroup and, ultimately, return. At last, the Allies were on the offensive—and, less than a year later, Adolf Hitler killed himself in his bunker in a Soviet-besieged Berlin and the war in Europe was effectively over. The value of an audacious offensive is something long known to successful commanders.

So the Israelis have once again let themselves and much of the rest of the world down by calling a halt to their latest skirmish with the “Palestinians” of Hamas, to whom they unwisely transferred control of the Gaza strip back in 2005. The recent round of rocket-launching and retaliatory air strikes accomplished nothing strategic, but merely kicked the can of resolution down the road yet again in the vain hopes that the elusive “peace process” might someday resolve the conflict. There’s only one resolution to this fight, however, and that is total victory for one side or the other. And that will be the side that wants it more,

One of the argument of the globalists is that the amount of available fossil fuel cannot generate the energy required to lift the Third World to the First. This is what the "climate change" hoax is about – not CO2. The poor become richer, the middle becomes poorer, and the ruling class continues
