Kamala Harris staff seem embarrassed in the wake of her first blundering trip abroad to Mexico and Guatemala, and once again, they're leaking it to the press. According to the New York Post: Biden administration officials are “quietly perplexed” about Vice President Kamala Harris’ fumbling multiple questions about the border and are concerned her unforced errors will overshadow her first international trip, according to a report. Speaking to CNN, administration officials discussed how the question of visiting the border dogged Harris for the whole trip, with her answer to NBC News’ Lester Holt stealing the spotlight from her work. They're not angry at the press, they're embarrassed about her,

Claiming perplexity for Harris’s very incompetent performance regarding the out of control borderline is just BS. What is going on along the borderline is the result of a conscience decision by the leftist and socialist Democrats back during the Obama-Biden era that the leftist and socialist Democrats should embrace an “open borders” plan to flood the USA with as many illegal aliens as possible, who the Democrats can characterize as being “people of color” who are poor and uneducated and are supposedly fleeing from what are in essence third world living conditions, without any limits regarding those billions of people being allowed into the USA, either as legal immigrants, refugees, or as illegal aliens. A recent poll shows that over 40 million such foreign people who are now located in countries South of the US borderline alone would come to the borderline and unlawfully enter the USA once they know that Biden will allow them to stay. The Democrats believe that their “open borders” initiative, that ignores the current immigration laws, will generate tens of millions of future leftist and socialist Democrat voters after those illegal aliens are run through Democrat designed rolling “path to citizenship” amnesties that will be designed to ultimately grant those former illegal aliens US voting rights, keeping the leftist and socialist Democrats in permanent political power able to transform the USA into some sort of socialist utopia.

She clearly exhibits moments of confusion, inappropriate laughter, inappropriate attempts at "jokes" and various facial expressions that point to internal displeasure. Or perhaps she has very good information about an impending disaster to her carefully crafted political game - one that would cause her a great deal of pain and trouble if the past catches her present. Kamala Harris is under some kind of pressure. It's hard to say what, given the working thesis (first seen in a tweet by Newt Gingrich) that Joe Biden appointed her to the position of border czar because he knew she would do nothing. But it's pretty obvious there were signs of strain in her face as she met with the president of Guatemala on Monday and then held a dual press conference. She looked like hell. Here are some camera shots from the NBC News report on the television set: [Snip for pictures] She actually looks pretty lost, uncertain, way out of her comfort zone. Not ready for prime time.

Now they're in an even bigger panic. That's at the prospect of Kamala Harris being the Democrat presidential candidate in 2024. The proof was buried inside a vituperative left-wing editorial from the once-even-tempered Economist ( version here): (Snip) And it is making senior Democrats nervous. So in her quest to find all those root causes for the current migrant surge into the U.S., Kamala Harris has focused on Central America, where two-thirds of the illegal aliens pouring over our border are coming from. And not surprisingly, instead of going to the border and asking a border surger about it, or even doing diplomacy, as she claims, she's got big plans to bring in huge corporations and NGOs to the region, kind of like the United Fruit Company, which lefties in the past have complained about. It's downright laughable. Here's her press release: As part of this Call to Action launch, 12 companies and
