A heartbroken Jon Rahm was forced to withdraw from the Memorial Tournament after being told he had tested positive for Covid-19, moments after he had established a six-shot advantage at the top of the leaderboard. The Spaniard had hit an incredible 64 to put himself in pole position to take home the £1.2million prize money but his test result means he now has to pull out of the competition. The world No 3 had hit a hole-in-one in the second round before three birdies in the third left him on 18 under par, equal to Ben Hogan’s tournament record for the lowest three-round score.

This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS!
If, and that's a big if, he has it, he is clearly asymptomatic. We now know from Fauci emails that if you're asymptomatic, you can't spread it! Let him play by himself if you want but he should be allowed to play.
Enough with these damn Covid scare tactics!

If he can shoot six under par, it’s obvious he was not sick! Testing positive for Covid should NOT have disqualified him!

Random "testing" carried out by jack booted thugs they can declare it "positive" at whim. This is a tactic that will be used as a weapon to ruin innocent people. Any by the way, are they qualified to administer a test and to read the results?? Are folks going to be forced to be tested randomly walking down the street??

Ever since the start of this China killer flu outbreak, I have been leery of the tests. Way, way too many false positives showed up but that's what the Dems wanted...a higher death toll.

The PGA blew the crowd control at the 2021 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island SC. Now the PGA Tour has blown up Jack Nicklaus' Memorial Tournament through its inept Covid-19 policy. Both are supposed to be professional organizations. Millions of $$$ are awarded to the golfers. Millions of $$$ are paid to the organizations for broadcasting the tournaments. Both organizations are enriched by the players participation and promotion. But they both double bogey their professional golf through Amateur Hour handling of the tournaments. Shame on both organizations.

So they knew “he was positive” while he was out on the course and didn’t say anything until he was done? If it’s so dangerous, shouldn’t men in hazmat suits have extracted him off the course? Answer: it’s NOT dangerous. Dollars to doughnuts he got a false positive. Something very fishy going on here.

Rahm, get a lawyer and sue the PGA for the prize money at the very least.

Lets just say it like it is, they stole 1.2 million dollars from Jon Rahm. He tested positive because he was near someone who tested positive. Positive, asymptomatic, negative one day, positive the next, its all bullsh**. Are any of the people who tested positive, sick. Are they showing symptoms of the virus. Are they running a temperature. Remember, just like in other sports, you hear about a positive test but they never say if the person ever got sick. They quarantine for two weeks and its over. they never got sick but lost money. Its Covid-19, I hear, I understand, but there has to be a better way to handle this.

Poster 13, the PGA Tour began a left hand turn during the tenure of democrat activist former commissioner Tim Finchem.
Although I disagree with tour covid policy, I don’t have much sympathy for Jon Rahm. His privilege to compete is dependent on negative covid tests. Rahm is relatively well educated. He has a team of employees. His net worth must be at least $50 million. He can go any where he wants. All this begs the question, why wasn’t he vaccinated? Rahm made a choice to not get two shots. Now he is living with the consequences of that decision.

Get another test. The Covid tests are notoriously inaccurate, about 95% of the time. Ask for another one until it reads negative. Frankly, the tests are so inaccurate that I think we have been hoaxed again.

If not lefties, #13, cowards.
This PGA policy flies in the face of social distancing and an outdoor venue, very effective treatments, monitoring and testing efficacy, negligible mortality, all the alleged Science. For Rahm or any PGA player, it's about the wins, not the money. In this case, not just any win but one that's just one notch below a major.
I don't know Rahm's vaccination status but if it's such a big and necessary deal, why aren't vaccines required. More flying in the face of science? An ugly day for the PGA.

I go back to the tests. They are not perfect. The same person can have a positive test, then take another and it's negative. Rahm shot a 64 yesterday. If he was really ill, I wish I could come down with the eight under par illness. Besides, didn't these guys get the vaccine? You can sure bet that if I were playing for millions of dollars every week, I'd be first in line for the vaccine.

He should have said he was a identifying as a woman and thus was on track to be the first woman to win that tournament. They would have had to ignore the chi-com virus test.

I do not trust Covid test. My daughter tested negative twice using the swab test in the ER. The doctor kept insisting that her chest x-ray looked like Covid pneumonia and ordered the RNA test and moved her to a hospital that had ICU beds for Covid patients - she died of Covid 9 days later.

Would he have tested positive if he hadn't shot 64 and wasn't the leader? We'll never know.

This is hysterical BS. They shouldn't test anyone after an initial test upon entry. I doubt if anyone would have even caught a sniffle from Rahm or anyone else, He was ALREADY finished!! Good God, whoever wins may get the unearned dough, but there will always be the dreaded asterisk next to the victor's record for today. This is unbearably not fair.

I too am curious about the swab tests. Back in February I was very ill, had been for a number of days. I finally went for a Wuhan crud test and it was negative. So I asked the nurse, what do I have then. I would have sworn I had it. She said maybe it's one of the thousands of viruses we have floating around out here. I was surprised mine tested negative since everyone I know who had had the test came out positive. I figured the swab they used on me had something wrong with it which is why they said I was negative. I keep intending to get an antibody test just so I will know, if they are available.

Rahm would have been paired with Cantlay for Round 4. Cantlay already had the virus so is presumably immune. Seems like a raw deal for Rahm.

As I understand the pcr test, the sample is examined for even a fragment of Kung Flu RNA, and the sample is then amplified to find more complete RNA. It is not a diagnostic test, but is to be used to confirm clinical diagnoses.
Rahm had been identified on contact tracing to have ben near a Kung Flu sufferer. He could have had a fragment of the RNA. But this is a joke.
