A 28-year-old man was shot and killed by a man riding an e-bike in Manhattan Sunday morning, cops and police sources said. The victim was in a parked car at 2253 Third Avenue in East Harlem around 11 a.m. when the suspect on a red and black e-bike shot him, the sources said. A clerk at a discount store near the shooting scene heard the rapid gunfire and walked out to see the victim struggling to take his last breaths. “I heard the shots. Boom! Boom! Boom! Maybe six,” said the clerk.

Cece Telfer, a transgender woman who won an NCAA Division II championship in 2019, was ruled ineligible Wednesday to compete in the U.S. Olympic trials.
USA Track and Field (USATF) said in a statement Telfer failed to meet the World Athletic requirements to be eligible for trials. She had initially been on the list for Friday’s opening heats but an updated list Wednesday did not include her name.
World Athletics’ guidelines, released in 2019, stated that female athletes’ testosterone levels were at 5 nanomoles per liter or more were barred from events between distances of 400 meters and a mile.

Firefighters were extricating dozens of people from a battered high-rise condominium building near Miami on Thursday after part of the structure collapsed into a mammoth pile of rubble leaving at least one person dead, authorities said.
Raide Jadallah, assistant fire chief of operations for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, said 35 people were pulled from the partially collapsed building at Champlain Towers South. Two more were rescued from the debris, he said. More than 80 technical and rescue teams were on the scene in Surfside, a few miles north of Miami Beach.

A 19-year-old woman shot by police Saturday during a Juneteenth celebration parade in Flint has died of her injuries, according to the Michigan State Police.
The woman, from Flint, was shot by a Flint police officer after she allegedly drove up to the officer and fired at him at about 2:14 p.m., police say.
The officer, who was injured, then shot the suspect. The incident took place on Saginaw Street near Leith Street.
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment, where she died of her injuries, police said.
Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-WI) has introduced legislation that seeks to ban critical race theory from being taught in public schools in Washington, D.C.
