Joe Biden will skip a commencement ceremony traditionally attended by presidents amid a row over his pro-abortion views at the Catholic university. Biden's administration will be the first since Bill Clinton's to skip the University of Notre Dame's commencement ceremony, after more than 4,000 students and alumni signed a petition urging school officials not to invite the president over his pro-choice view on abortion. A White House official told the Catholic News Agency on May 11 that the president was invited to give a commencement speech and receive an honorary degree from the school but would not attend due to a scheduling conflict.

Interesting little tidbit, from the article: ~~"President Trump also skipped the ceremony - traditionally attended by presidents in their first year in office - to go to Saudi Arabia in 2017. But Trump, who painted himself as a staunchly anti-abortion president, sent his Vice President Mike Pence instead. It is unclear whether Vice President Kamala Harris was invited to speak."~~

It’s about darn time! Biden’s support for abortion should have had him excommunicated 45 years ago. It’s not too late to do that now, Catholic bishops.

#6 got it right. If UND doesn't ask 0bama to return his honorary degree, then this brouhaha over Biden's invitation is just so much posturing by those who didn't have the courage to challenge the 0bama honorary degree. (That invitations were extended or might be extended to 0bama and Biden says a lot about the priorities of the current leadership at UND.)

But Notre Dame caved to Obama's pre-speech demand to cover up (with a huge covering) permanent Christian religious symbols that were on the building wall behind the podium. My assumption is that Obama did not want to be photographed in a Christian setting because the photos might be seen by too many Muslims. He'd lose some street cred.

Well, if you can't get Pope Frankie and certain higher ups in the Vaticam to cut Biden off from receiving the most Holy Eucharist because he, Biden, is a pro-abort, the students of Notre Dame can protest and win: Biden will not be the commencement speaker! Hats off to the graduating class. God bless you!

Our son, a ND alum, won't wear his ND ring and wants NOTHING to do with the once-Catholic university after it awarded O'Mama an honorary doctorate KNOWING he was the most pro-abortion politician ever to have served. As a physician, my son is in position to financially contribute to his alma mater but will never do so unless they apologize and retract Obama's degree as well as apologize for having given the senior Cuomo a platform to promote baby killing some 60 years ago.

I'll admit, something more is amiss. First, Notre Dame is the most pro abortion Catholic institution in the nation. So it ca 't be about abortion. There is something deeper scaring the priest on this one.

And as more images of the app have surfaced, the more Truth Social appears to be a direct clone of Twitter (TWTR), the social network of choice for Trump before he was kicked off the platform. On Tuesday, Donald Trump Jr. tweeted a purported screenshot of the app, showing what appeared to be the former president's first post on the service. "Get Ready! Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies told Vanity Fair she had watched Alec Baldwin’s bombshell interview with ABC in December and was drawn to the actor’s claim that he did not pull the trigger. “You can pull the hammer back without actually pulling the trigger and without actually locking it,” Carmack-Altwies said. “So you pull it back partway, it doesn’t lock, and then if you let it go, the firing pin can hit the primer of the bullet.”
