The body of murdered University of Utah student Mackenzie Lueck was recovered 80 miles north of Salt Lake City, police said in a news conference Friday.
Salt Lake City Police Chief Mike Brown said the remains of the 22-year-old college student were recovered Wednesday in Logan Canyon.
“In the wake of this tragic, tragic incident, I am relieved and grief-stricken to report that we have recovered Mackenzie Lueck,” Brown said.

My husband coached peewee football in Texas over a span of 10 years with all 6 of our sons playing. While this drill was done poorly, these boys have to be prepared to face larger and stronger players. I can’t help but think the new target of cancel culture is youth football. They’ve already neutered our boys in the public schools so now they’re making sure there’s no other avenue for boys to learn proper masculinity. As an aside, I never used to be this way but I can’t help but think the small white player being pitted against a much larger black player by a black coach was deliberate.
