San Francisco schools are slammed for
fake 're-open' plan that would see
students back in class just ONE day
before end of school year so the district
can get $12million in state money

Original Article

San Francisco's high school seniors will return to school for just one day so the city can qualify for $12million in state funds. The deal between the district and teachers union, which has been described as a blatant money grab, will see the class of 2021 not even receive any in-person instruction from teachers but will instead have 'in-person supervision'. Most students will not return to their own schools as only two high school sites are being made available to seniors who will be welcomed back 'for at least one day before the end of the school year'.

Comments:

It's for the kids; the money is incidental.

What about government school education isn't a money grab? The locals grab from the states. The states grab from the Feds. And the Feds grab from you. And this time Johnny will learn to read and cypher numbers...

We need a voucher system. This kind of fraud would never succeed if there were competition and free market choices in schools. Our children are being abused by a bunch of woke, greedy people.

My kid's school just outside SF is open for 4 days a week but they're only half days and a 5th day they just do home room only and don't even pretend to have classes so they can claim they're open 5 days a week. She learns more from YouTube than she does in school. It's a pure tax money grab cheating everyone who pays property taxes while robbing the children of any hope of an education. And yes, in my county it is the same unions in cahoots with the equally lazy and corrupt school administration and school boards doing this. They think of the children... last.

The CIA may be in competition with the Army for the most “woke” recruitment ads of 2021. A new video from “The Calling” series echoes recent CIA’s “Humans of CIA” efforts featuring an “intersectional” officer and a gay man who feared “I may not be able to discuss my personal life at work.” “This is the story of a soldier who operates your nation’s missile defense systems,” the military narrator says in an animated film. “Although I had a fairly typical childhood—took ballet, played violin—I also marched for equality. I like to think I’ve been defending freedom from an early age.”

President Biden was either confused or misleading the public when he claimed that the last five former chairs of the Federal Reserve support his tax-hike plan as a way to boost the economy. The president caused a lot of head-scratching when he told reporters last week, “By the way, you saw—you know, the last five leaders of the Fed coming out and saying—what’d they say? They said, ‘Biden’s plan is going to grow the economy.'" What did they say, indeed? For starters, two of the previous five Fed chairmen—Paul Volcker and G. William Miller—are deceased. Midtown, Manhattan—A man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after being slashed in the face in a seemingly random attack at the Times Square subway station, police said. Authorities said it happened on the southbound platform for the No. 1, 2 and 3 lines just after 9 a.m. as the victim was sitting on a station bench. According to officials, an unidentified man approached him and started talking to him, at which point he removed his headphones and asked, “Are you talking to me?” This apparently set the man off, who spit in the sitting man’s face and then slashed him across the face

The federal government has squandered at least $60 billion on fraudulent or improper unemployment payments in the past year, the Labor Department estimates.
