A Georgia vaccine site temporarily shut down Wednesday after eight people suffered serious side effects. The site in Cumming is one of four nationwide to pause injections of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine this week, The Associated Press reported. A mass vaccination site in Denver halted operations Wednesday, and another in Raleigh, N.C., stopped using the J&J vaccine Thursday. The Centers for Disease Control is also investigating a shutdown in Iowa, according to the AP. Of the eight people who suffered adverse effects at Cumming Fairgrounds, about 35 miles north of Atlanta, one person was hospitalized and seven others were monitored onsite

I'm so torn about any of the vaccines that I'm sitting back and waiting before running to get my shot. Call me crazy, but for now, I will take my chance on herd immunity

Another reason NOT to get this vaccine. Not that I was rushing to get one anyway.

Have to wait long term to determine longterm effects. Starting to see cases of pregnant women having problems carrying to term.

My wife and I had J&J no problem

Same here, the Mrs and I both had J&J shots without any effects. The Pharmacy where we went said they haven’t seen a single case of anyone having a reaction to any of the vaccines. He wondered aloud if it may be hysteria amongst the sheep, his words, not mine.

Wife and I completed 2 shots of Moderna. Both over 70. Quick, easy application sitting in the car. No adverse, or any, reaction.

I got the Pfizer and other than a sore arm for a few hours, I was fine. My brother got the J & J was sick for half a day but he's fine now.
What gripes me is that even though I have the vaccine and the numbers are dropping in my state, I still have to wear the mask at work and in the stores. The state legislature has passed several laws to reel in his powers but the courts overrule them. I am very frustrated.

Let me get this straight. I get the shots, and now am immune to the virus. And there is the possibility of severe reaction.Yet I still have to wear a mask and social distance.
Right now I don't have the shot, no reaction, no virus, (Been tested) and I have to wear a mask and social distance. I'll remain not too
Worried.

With a 99.7% survival rate across ALL age groups, no vaccine for us. A vaccine has a bit of the virus it is supposed to be fighting, so the receiver can build up his immunity naturally. These are Experimental Biological Agents.
Please understand what is in them, and do not allow your children to get them either.

It’s not a “vaccine”. It’s “experimental”. It hasn’t been properly tested. Not getting it. Ever. And no one else in my family and circle of friends is getting it either. One of them will probably lose her job if she doesn’t get it so she’s already looking for a new one.

So 7 folks had to be monitored longer and 1 went to the hospital. People fainted. One of the big issues has been patients not being well hydrated and getting the vax on an empty stomach. Not good. Also, you might take a dose of tylenol (not ibuprofen) prior to getting the vax.
We had Covid. 2+ weeks of feeling bad, out of work, and then weeks of no taste and smell, occasional overwhelming fatigue, heart racing, insomnia, lingering headaches. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't easy either and it was damn inconvenient. Being middle aged healthy folks, it did kick our butts like the flu but lingered on far longer.
Ds had his JnJ and he didn't even have a sore arm. He feels great. I had dose one of Pfizer and had a sore arm and felt a bit puny for a day but otherwise I'm good. BUT we were both well hydrated and had eaten prior to our vax and took tylenol regularly for the rest of the day.

We made the very difficult decision to get vaccinated. I didn't like doing this at all. My wife received the one and done J&J vaccine. She felt like crap for two or three days after getting the shot but is fine now. I got the Moderna shots. Other than having periods of fatigue over the three days following the second shot, I didn't feel any different. I just hope our dna genes haven't been re-arranged. But, on the other hand at age 68, obviously too old to have any more kids.

Wondering if some of those 15 million doses J&J had to dump actually got shipped.
Wondering if Pfizer or Moderna is making sure J&J gets bad publicity in the media. They are competitors.
Not ready to get the vaccine yet. Don't think it has been tested enough. Want to see if there are any long term effects. Other people around me are telling me to get vaccinated while I would rather wait. Also don't think the vaccine changes anything. Its only 95% effective which means some people will still get COVID. If you are at risk, you still have to take precautions. This is only over when we achieve herd immunity. Guessing the vaccine helps us get there quicker.

I am not medically qualified to offer an opinion... my daughter IS qualified and explained the difference between the two shot and the one shot/Johnson and Johnson...she was happy I got the two shot Maderna (sp?)....something to do with RNA I think... don't quote me...everyone must make their own decision about what's best for them...as for me... I trust my daughter..all that money for pre/med school is paying off...

The Governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, has the JJ Vaccine shot. He appears to be his usual self. I had the Pfizer shots, both of them. I had a negative reaction but I'm still here. Fatigue, chest pains in the area of the heart, and fever. Strangest of all is the flow of mucus going through my nasal system totally stopped for a couple of days. The worst reaction I ever had was to the Shingles shot, pain aplenty. I'll continue to do what the docs recommend. After all, if I croak they don't get paid by me.

I had my dose of J&J vaccine with no side effects whatever. Some people couldn't take a shot of distilled water without "side effects" such as nausea, fainting, and general not feeling "right". Plenty of people claim relief from placebos. Somehow, I don't think my experience is the exception. But, people make decisions...their right.

I'm not getting the shot. Nor am I wearing a mask or "social distancing". To blazes with your herd behavior and fake virus. I probably had it in Feb of 2020. It was a bad flu, but not as bad as some of the bugs I had as a kid.
Speaking of kid, one of the most important life lessons I learned in school was that if everyone else is doing something, its probably stupid. If they resort to coercion and bullying, as well as inventing cutesey little phrases (Social distancing, click it or ticket, drive 55 and stay alive, etc) to induce people to follow them, its even doubly stupid. If this shot gives you a nice Linus blanket, ok. Have fun with it. I dont want it.

I had my shots (Moderna). 2nd shot I had chills and fever for a few hours but fine ever since. I know a health professional that never knew they had the virus, gave it to spouse, spouse died. They urged me to get the shot. Y
My nearly 50 year old son is a diabetic and considered high-risk. Others in family are overweight and considered high-risk. I did not want to be the one to get the virus and pass it along to one of my loved ones. That's my main reason for taking shot.

Most posters here seem to adhere to personal choice. Excellent idea, but at this late date in the Scamdemic, how important will The-Big-Shot be? Eschew the shot and maybe become one of the unlucky 1%, or get the shot and be among the unlucky 1%?
There is more than just public health going on here - MUCH more.

Why are everyone still wearing masks if the vaccine masks make people immune? We've already approached herd immunity. Something else is going on. Biden/Harris are still wearing masks and don't need to. Why? Answer: Citizen Control! Why isn't CDC concerned about Covid positive illegal aliens coming into the country? Answer: More Covid outbreaks, more fear and more control! Sick! and Evil!

Maybe the J&J needs to be 2 shots too? Had my 1st Pfier, no issues. I understand most everything about these vacs and that they have not been fully approved by the FDA. Hey just because the FDA approves something doesn't make it any better. FDA is a government mess. I actually trust science more than politics and the fake media.

mRNA from the vaccine never interacts with your DNA. The m(essenger)RNA enters your ribosomes, the protein making factories of your cells, and teaches your cells to produce the small Covid specific protein sequence that in turn causes the immune response. Your DNA is never touched.

Johnson & Johnson is in line with the people who kill children for profit. They are simply enlarging their field of death.

Well ... I guess I'm the only one here old enough to remember Contergan (a/k/a "thalidomide"). The wonder drug for morning sickness ... only it wasn't!
Same thing with the first attempts at a polio vaccine in the late 1940's. They didn't work either ... which lead to the so-called "Salk vaccine" which did work in 1954. (And for which Salk took full credit for even tho' a world-wide team developed it!)
Just beware that we don't really know the long term effects of this Chinese Flu "cure".
And we're not allowed to discuss it!!
