ViacomCBS is the first major Hollywood studio to speak out against Georgia’s voter integrity law, claiming without citing evidence that the legislation intended to fight voter fraud actually impedes the “equal right to vote.” The media conglomerate, which owns Paramount Pictures and the CBS network, stopped short of endorsing the left’s demands to boycott the state.
In a statement posted to Twitter, ViacomCBS said that it opposes the new law and will work to promote an “open and fair voting system” through its programming and partnerships with activist groups.

If Georgia caves to these liberals and their activist groups, then we are doomed. If they stand strong, other states will follow. It's very similar to the COVID restrictions. The RED states are cancelling out all the restrictions while the BLUE states are still stagnant. The Biden administrations along with Fauci and CDC are freaking out because they are losing control. People in the U.S. are saying, enough is enough, let's move forward.

It doesn't impede the right to vote of actual CITIZENS, which is the point of it.

Help me out with this, does ViacomCBS depend upon viewers for its existence or is it the other way around?

Hollywood obviously failed basic reading comprehension in school, they only know how to read what they read, not understand it.

GA should be more careful about businesses they court! If Hollywood comes to your state to escape CA taxation, be very, very cautious!

I have not watched CBS in 25 years. The network is nothing but leftist propaganda. They will have to pay me a lot to watch any of that.

I'd like all these people who head these corporations to explain to me with a straight face how exactly does this Georgia law impede anyone from voting legally.

This is all part of the plan-- to use 'woke' corporations to do the lobbying.
They are already beginning to use "scores" to pigeon hole their customers as to who will get to do business under favorable terms.
Bank of America is one of the biggest corporations doing this, and will give credit based on how a customer rates on wokeness, adhereance to BoA's 'standards' on 'social justice' and if the customer is in agreement with the "environmentalist wacko" (thanks Rush) mentality RATHER THAN their history or credit worthiness.
Listening to the documentation on Glenn Beck's shows about this coming phenomenon is chilling. He gets an unfavorable reputation as being "gloom and doom", but lately, he has been proven to be far ahead of the curve on issues that we are seeing inculcated in government like Agenda 21, Agenda 2030, and this latest play to control people and their lives

A situation that would impede the POC right to vote would be if whites and asians could get a photo ID anywhere in the country but POC were required to travel to Tasmania to get theirs. Since you can walk down the street most anywhere and have your photo pasted on an ID card, you are not impeded, you are properly identified and this is what the democrats are afraid of. One vote per live person is not a situation that will put most of them into office, therefore the false outrage.

Yes, It impedes Illegal Immigrants Equal Right To Vote. And without that they can’t win elections. It’s easy to understand their objection, but impossible to take it seriously.

If you think you are big and important then you must appear big and important. Problem is ViacomCBS needs Georgia more than Georgia needs Viacom the same with Hollywood including Delta.

They LIE. It impedes ONLY voter fraud, and doesn't go nearly far enough as Phill Kline's commentary yesterday pointed out. It still makes it legal for billionaires to spend tons of money on local elections to unfairly influence them, just not directly to election officials PERSONALLY, but $$$ given to the election commissions is still just fine. That is wrong.
The law doesn't go far enough, but a lot.

GOP needs to be firm on demanding that the voter rolls MUST be up-to-date, which would require all dead people removed, and anyone who has moved, removed BEFORE allowing any other comments.
Then, ask the good people of Georgia, who encouraged folks to "move" to Georgia so they could vote in 2020, if they are now considered residents and able to apply to the University of Georgia with in-state tuition now.
Most states require 1 year of residency before you can pay their in-state tuition, right?
So, how can someone vote in a state prior to them being deemed a full-time resident and able to pay in-state tuition at one of their colleges or universities?
And, making sure that their previous address, and registration, was removed from the state they "moved" from.

Why are these big corporations trying to misguide people regarding our new voter integrity law? They are counting on low information/headline-only nitwits to get worked into a frenzy. Their playbook is so predictable and pathetic!
