Don't call it cancel culture, call it cancel careerism. Nearly 140 documentary filmmakers have signed onto a letter given to PBS executives, suggesting the service may provide an unfair level of support to white creators, facing a "systemic failure to fulfill (its) mandate for a diversity of voices." Titled "A Letter to PBS From Viewers Like Us," the missive references Ken Burns, arguably one of PBS' biggest non-fiction stars and creator of popular projects like Baseball, Jazz, The Civil War and an upcoming six-hour program called Hemingway.

Perfect. The Law of Unintended Consequences, Part One Billion. So this sanctimonious little dude pulls a faux mea culpa because he feels not enough homies are getting their fair share of the public dole. I'll leave that one alone for now because the best part is as creepy as he is, his documentaries are pretty good; good enough at least for a feedbag network few people actually watch. So he splits and in comes a bunch of hip-hop documentaries and viewership grows even worse. Keep digging, dummies.

I never watch PBS unless it's a British show. The rest of their stuff is unwatchable. It's amusing how once these snowflakes make their millions they come over all SJW. Shameless hypocrites. BTW, the Burns Civil War epic was good but he let his bias show when it had the comment that Stonewall Jackson was a "blue-eyed killer'. I supposed you could call all of the commanders in that war or any other war 'killers' because they were warriors but he didn't call Grant a 'brown-eyed killer'.

The Hagia Sophia: A True 'Center of

Last summer, Turkish authorities transformed Hagia Sophia (“Holy Wisdom”)—which was originally built, and for a millennium functioned, as one of Christendom’s greatest cathedrals—into a mosque. On that Friday, July 24, 2020 (which for millions of Eastern Christians is now deemed a “day of mourning”), Muslims met inside the desecrated church, where they were led in prayer by a sword-waving imam, to spasmodic cries of “Allahu Akbar.” The Turks, beginning with their president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, have been presenting this bit of cultural appropriation as their “right.”

1. Why are we getting this from a Time Magazine investigative piece instead of Twitter? Facebook usually reveals disinformation operations, Twitter either doesn't care or sympathizes with Jihadi state trolls pushing #HitlerWasRight. 2. #HitlerWasRight is not a disinformation issue. This isn't just Iran making the usual arguments about nuclear weapons or accusing Israel of human rights violations. This is a call to genocide by a regime developing nuclear weapons which it has repeatedly indicated will be used to destroy Israel.

Twitter declared access to its platform a 'human right' on Saturday, prompting conservatives to accuse the firm of hypocrisy after it banned former President Donald Trump and others for violating its terms of service. 'We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society,' the company said in a statement.

In a Monday social media post, Clinton likened the left’s radical attempt to overhaul U.S. election — stripping states of basic election safeguards such as voter ID — to “preserving America’s democracy.” “Preserving America’s democracy shouldn’t be a partisan issue.
