CDC Director Freaks Over COVID

The current CDC Director is a hopelessly politicized figure, and she has shown herself to be completely subservient to whatever political message the Biden campaign is trying to push. You’ll probably recall that she famously said schools could re-open before completely reversing herself just a few weeks later. [Tweet] That flip-flop clearly came after administration officials pulled her aside and told her to get on message. A CDC director is supposed to simply tell the truth and follow the science. Walensky continually doesn’t do that because she’s a partisan hack. Thus, you get unscientific idiocy like today’s freak-out session in which she broke down about the impending doom

The CDC has been a total disaster, with multiple failed data displays, a failed test kit and lousy advice. Best would be to shut the CDC in Atlanta down (it's full of affirmative action employees), and move it to a city with multiple medical schools (Chicago, NY, LA, Phila) to engage the best faculty. Walensky is paid to prepare for the worst, but she shouldn't be the worst communicator herself. Biden's management of the epidemic is a moving train wreck of politicized spooks and fears. We should see the effect of vaccination in reducing deaths this week. Let's hope.

I have no doubt that there are spikes in various communities, but don't hold your breath waiting for the goons at the CDC to be honest about the demographics involved. But just watching the news about the recent bad behavior in Miami and Virginia Beach will clue you in as who is responsible for the spikes.

This administration is like chicken little. The sky is falling. I can NOT believe anything that comes from CDC, Fauci, Brix, Biden, Harris and the rest of the clowns in this administration. You can also include the the shadow president (Obama) and his shadow VP (Susan Rice). The new CDC director is pathetic and her performance is not convincing.

One finds it difficult to understand why anyone in this country would listen to and trust any goobernment employee or elected official. We really are wasting our time developing human like robots for things like sex. What we need is robotic politicians and goobernment bureaucrats. Imagine an elected robot. It works tirelessly and doesn't need never ending political 'fact finding' trips to exotic resorts. It actually tells the truth. It would do what it says it will do. It will not worry about fund raising for reelection. It would use emotion but cold hard reasoning to find solutions. It wouldn't be subject to bribes and it wouldn't care to become a multimillionaire. It wouldn't be fascinated with increasing power. It wouldn't identify as some bizarre gender fantasy. It would only serve.

I get more of a sense of doom from the destruction of our civil rights by the current administration. Every day brings multiple stories of people being canceled, harassed, and even jailed simply for exercising their God-given right to speak and associate freely. And "I'm scared" that the rule of law is no longer a refuge as judges issue politicized rulings, elections no longer have consequences, the government is no longer answerable to the people, and politicians are busily staffing law enforcement and the military leadership with like-minded fellow travelers. There will come a time when troops such as those in DC will think nothing of opening fire on the American people simply trying to make their voices heard and exercising their rights. greyseal

The CDC and NIH are paradigmns of government bureaucracies designed for tedious obfuscation. I am reminded of "the Gov" in Blazing Saddles talking about justifying their bovine scatology jobs. A year ago when this Covid ougbreak began I went to the CDC website to research influenza history data and statistics. In this digital information sharing era all the CDC offered was wide ranging estimates and I had to filter through all types of verbiage and links just to find anything. As an example the number of hospitalizatiins due to influenza in 2017 was reported as an estimate +/- 100,000 cases. It was a frustrating data mining nightmare which I found pretty much useless.

According to the CDC death certificate standards in place up until they changed them in March of last year, about 10,000 people have died of Wuhan flu. That is, if the old standards for death certificates were used, almost all the "COVID deaths" were actually from something else. All the rest are frauds at various levels from the 'pure fraud' motorcycle accident death that is counted as a Wuhan death, and the hundreds of thousands who were NEVER tested to verify that they had the disease at all, just 'presumed' because they had a cough, or a fever. Those are more minor frauds. And then there were many who actually had the Wuhan virus in their system, but died of a heart attack or stroke, or whatever. But, because there was more money given to health care providers if the case was written up as Wuhan flu than if it was a heart attack, guess what.....lots of incentive to rework the papers for $$$. The number of "excess deaths" in 2020 compared to previous years is somewhere in the 20-40,000 range, but that is difficult to see, since the total numbers of deaths per year bounce around quite a bit from year to year. Real Wuhan flu deaths are likely in the 10,000 range for purely "died of" and perhaps 40,000 or perhaps 50,000 or so who "died with", but were already on the downhill slide, and the virus hastened their death by a few months or so. Much of this whole Dem-panic has been a political fraud, and the deadliness is maybe twice that of a normal flu season, but everything has been amplified by the evil Dr. Fraud and Fraud Birx, pumping up the volume to 12 with the help of a willing and complicit media.

The coin trading world has a new gold standard, after the only known 1822 half eagle $5 piece in private hands sold at auction in Las Vegas for US$8.4 million ($10.9m). Douglas Mudd, curator and director of the Edward C. The most expensive US coin ever sold, at US$10m ($13m), is a 1794 US “Flowing Hair” silver dollar said to be among the first-ever minted in the fledgling United States. The 1822 half eagle $5 coin

Joe Biden’s focus on ensuring populism never rises again in America through the institutionalization of mail-in voting, social media deplatforming, gun control, and Curleyism may have to compete with challenges from the global world. The Democratic Party has “near enemies” but it also has “far enemies.” As Gideon Rachman of the Financial Times points out, Biden, in a Foreign Affairs article, saw Washington as leading not only America but the global world. To capture Washington was to capture a global empire. If that empire is lost, then a Democratic domestic “permanent majority” would be hollow. Joe’s problem is that the world he wants to recover has broken away,

In Lee Child’s thriller Personal, his audacious hero Jack Reacher lays down the four attributes of good spycraft: hard work, attention to detail, lateral thinking (“outside the box,” as the phrase has it) and unconventional or creative adaptations to circumstance. These are precisely the traits that characterize the mindset and practice of the good writer in any field or genre. Apart from the pragmatic aspects of, let us say, writecraft, one may add, as Ernest Hemingway did in A Moveable Feast, a moral component as well. “All you have to do is write one true sentence,” Hemingway said. “Write the truest sentence that you know.” The rest follows.

I know I will upset many readers with this column, but I speak from experience. Women should not be combat soldiers on purpose and should not have combat commands, either. This has suddenly become a pressing matter because Biden just nominated women to those positions. I used the phrase "on purpose" because we can't always predict where fighting will occur. Women in the military must, therefore, be trained and equipped to fight as effectively as possible. However, we must not throw them into harm's way as a matter of course. There used to be a saying that any country called the “People’s Democratic Republic” was the reverse. Nothing illustrates the semantic inversion better than the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK, also known as North Korea). It is neither a democracy nor a republic; in fact, it is actually the only Communist aristocratic dynasty in the world. But their Communist majesties are a royal family on the cheap. That makes them deceptively comical. The Nokor version of “Game of Thrones” featured the assassination of Kim Jong-un’s half-brother in Malaysia, which resulted in the entire DPRK embassy being recently expelled.
