President Biden on Sunday expressed optimism about getting gun control legislation passed on Capitol Hill — claiming he’s done it before and can do it again.“I’m the only one who’s ever gotten it passed, man,” Biden told reporters at New Castle Air National Guard Base in Delaware.“Everyone keeps wondering whether I care about dealing with rational gun control — the only gun control legislation ever passed is mine.“It’s gonna happen again.”The president said that he was even willing to call Republican members of Congress to help push through a deal

It is so unpresidential to call reporters "man." It is also sexist and misogyonistic.

Great idea, flood the country with criminal illegal aliens and then take away firearms from the citizens so they can't defend themselves. C'mon, man!

It's not going to happen. That will be a death wish for any senator thinking that he has a chance of being reelected in the future.

IF he succeeds it will still be unconstitutional under the "shall not be infringed" provisions of the Second Amendment. Furthermore the "a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State" rationale obviously means the weaponry must be relevant to meet the current threat posed to the Free State. You cannot expect to meet modern mechanized weaponry with the blunderbusses and/or fire and re-load guns and pistols of the time the amendment was made.

#6, after this last election why should any leftist politician ever worry about being elected or reelected again?

Mr, braggart, Mr. tough guy. “Well son of a bit**, he got fired.” “I took on the NRA, I took on Putin, I took on Xi”
Biden is a vastly overrated politician, simply a small-time hood.

Re#2 Collins and Murkowski live in States that make a lot of money off of hunting. I don't think either of them is willing to commit political suicide over this.

Getting it through your illegally loaded congress isn't the problem, Big Guy, it's the millions of gun owners out here just waiting for you to make that stupid move.

The last time Biden and the Democrats hyped useless gun control that only inconvenienced law abiding gun owners they lost control of the Congress for about a decade. So in that respect the Democrats could be putting themselves back in the minority in Congress for awhile, who knows?
