When the pandemic upended the economy last year, companies took a hard look at their advertising plans. [SNIP] The Big Three of digital advertising—Google, Facebook and Amazon—already dominated that sector going into 2020. The pandemic pushed them into command of the entire advertising economy. According to a provisional analysis by ad agency GroupM, the three tech titans for the first time collected the majority of all ad spending in the U.S. last year.

I have NOTHING to do with Google, or Fakebook. I occasionally have bought books on Amazon, and am working to end that entirely.

Wrong! COVID did not push them into "command of the entire advertising economy". They used COVID as an excuse ... never let a crisis go to waste.

Tara Reade has blasted 'arrogant' Joe Biden for calling for an investigation into sexual harassment claims made against Gov. Andrew Cuomo - while flatly dismissing the allegations she made against him. Reade, 56, went public last year, claiming Biden sexually assaulted her in a hallway while she was working as a Senate staffer in 1993. Biden vehemently denied the claim - but that hasn't stopped him from saying that all women should be believed.

Major left-leaning U.S. press outlets are largely avoiding mention of President Joe Biden's repeated stumbles as he boarded Air Force One, while many foreign publications are devoting prominent coverage to the incident. As of Friday afternoon, the homepages of MSNBC, CBS News, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and New York Times had no mention of Biden's stumbling incident earlier in the day at Joint Base Andrews. The news blackout was not strictly partisan, with the homepage of right-leaning One America News Network also omitting any mention of Biden's repeated tripping.

Over the last year, good news has been a rarity in the hospitality industry. A year removed from the initial pandemic-related shutdown that has been likened to a death sentence for the industry, Pennsylvania restaurants received some news they haven't had in months — something agreeable. "I'm just happy. I'd like it to be yesterday, but glad they're being reasonable," said Granfalloons Tavern co-owner Dylan Bauer. On Monday, Gov. Tom Wolf announced plans to lift some restaurant restrictions, including an increase to 75% indoor occupancy for self-certified restaurants and the return of bar service.

A sheriff whose county sits on the Mexican border said the new surge of migrants essentially has an open door into the United States — and he believes the “crisis” will only get worse if the Biden administration doesn’t take swift action. “Now, basically, the border’s open,” Sheriff J.E. Guerra told The Post late Wednesday afternoon shortly after a ride-along with one of the department’s sergeants. “We’re hopeful with this administration, [Biden’s] got an opportunity starting now but let’s wait and see, they’ve got to make a decision here pretty quick because as long as they think that, ‘Hey, the border’s open,’ here comes the flood..."

A federal appeals court judge issued an extraordinary opinion Friday attacking partisan bias in the news media, lamenting the treatment of conservatives in American society and calling for the Supreme Court to overturn a landmark legal precedent that protects news outlets from lawsuits over reports about public figures. D.C. Circuit Senior Judge Laurence Silberman’s diatribe, contained in his dissent in a libel case, amounted to a withering, frontal assault on the 1964 Supreme Court decision that set the framework for modern defamation law — New York Times v. Sullivan.

For 20 years, Democrat sexual predators have run the state of New York. For 13 years, the terms of the last three Democrat governors, sexual harassers have held down the office. And for 20 years, Democrat attorney generals who were sexual predators ruled. It’s quite an achievement for a national and state party that claims to protect women. "There is a disrespect for women that this administration chronically exemplifies. After the #MeToo movement, they did absolutely nothing when it came to sexual harassment," Governor Cuomo ranted about President Trump during the Kavanaugh nomination.
