On Wednesday morning Judge Peter Cahill dismissed two seated jurors in the Derek Chauvin trial due to their inability to be impartial after learning about a historic civil settlement between the city of Minneapolis and George Floyd's family. Friday March 12, the Minneapolis City Council approved and announced the largest police settlement in Minneapolis history, paying $27 million to the family of George Floyd. (Snip) Judge Peter Cahill started the morning in court with a stern warning to reporters he said have been attempting to read post-it notes on the attorneys' tables, and reporting the exact security arrangements in the

The judge needs to rescind his order allowing the media to be present. No good can come of their being there.

Ida lied and stayed on the jury. My verdict? Hmmph.

Facts will never matter in this trial! This poor cop is going away for a long time unless the appeal process can give him justice!

#3, I'm with you. And if he is found "not guilty" and released back in to society, his days will be numbered. There will be a target on his back.

Reporters have been "reporting the exact security arrangements in the courthouse" ... and this is why normal people despise the media.

The disgusting Minneapolis pols who pulled this stunt - - are pure evil.
How does anyone become so hateful - - and what do they expect to gain from it?

There has been so much baloney publicity regarding the incident, and there is nobody in Minneapolis who has not digested that, along the violent rioting that occurred afterwards that there is no way that the police officers can get a fair trial. If the officers are found not guilty through a jury verdict, it would not be long before the identities of the jurors would be leaked by the leftist Democrat government there, resulting in the juror's homes being burnt down. That is just common sense. Overall it would be better for the defendants and the city if the Judge presiding over the case issues a directed verdict of not guilty, as the evidence now is that the officers were following authorized police procedures that were in force at the time of the incident. If the Judge is smart he will then decamp Minneapolis for parts unknown before the violent leftists catch up with him and his family.

This is a travesty before it begins. The press declared Chauvin guilty last summer. Biden calls him guilty. Floyd is the mascot of BLM. Who in their right mind could sit on this jury and, in light of his or her own reputation and safety, and as a resident of Minneapolis, even consider anything other than "guilty"?

Well, it appears that views of the 27 mil settlement are good for filtering out any unbiased in favor of conviction jurors.

At least there were 2 honest jurors. Unfortunately they were the ones who were dismissed. This entire trial is tainted and Chauvin has little chance at a fair trial in Minneapolis given the political climate and crowds outside of the courthouse.

See how this works? Taint the verdict to begin with by paying a supposed "victim" before trial, then prevent jurors who question the payment (paid by taxpayers) from being on the trial as impartial.
Pretty slick, isn't it?

Right after Breonna Taylor died, Benjamin Crump (race promoting lawyer) negotiated with our mayor and got a $20,000,000 settlement for her mother before anyone knew what was happening.
So. Now all our old Confederate soldier statues are gone, but we have a kick-ass memorial to a drug dealer. And don't fall for the Saint Breonna nonsense in her emt unitofrm...she was a drug dealer.

My response would have been, "$27 million - why do we still need a trial?"

"The jurors seated so far are two white men, three white women, a multiracial woman and three Black men."Get the media out!
Does anyone doubt if the media deems the verdict politically incorrect the jurors won't be doxed?

This is turning into a cluster. They are back down to just 7 jurors and the media is playing dangerous games.
