Former Vice President Mike Pence endorsed former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in her Arkansas gubernatorial bid on Monday. In a statement, Pence praised Sanders for her conservative values and pledged his "full support." "Sarah Huckabee Sanders is a Christian, a conservative, and a proud Arkansan who will fight for the people of Arkansas, stand with law enforcement, promote lower taxes, champion school choice, and more," the former vice president said.

Comments:

Sarah was likely not thrilled about this. Go away Benedict Pence and stay away!

Serious question here. Should Sarah reject the endorsement? I can see and agree with both yes, and no. Pence screwed us and Trump. But who didn’t, sadly?

Sarah won't accept it; she won't reject it. Few voters in Arkansas care what Pence volunteers to do. If Sarah goes public with rejecting it, as many voters will think she's snide for rejecting the endorsement of a "great Christian" as those who understand and think she's smart to reject it. Don't dwell on it, don't announce it; let it lie there. If she is asked about it by the press, Sarah of all people will know how to respond while minimizing any possible damage. Leave it to others to suggest that Sarah never asked for Pence's endorsement, but she's too polite to throw it back in Pence's face.

A federal appeals court ruled Monday against Michael Flynn and the Justice Department in their request to quickly shut down his criminal case. The 8-2 decision restores power to a judge to question the Justice Department's moves in the politically divisive case, when Attorney General William Barr dropped charges against President Donald Trump's former national security adviser earlier this year despite twice pleading guilty to lying under oath to lying to the FBI. Flynn had fought District Judge Emmet Sullivan's decision to ask a third-party lawyer to argue against the Justice Department's dismissal in the case, and his plans to hold a hearing, which has not yet happened.
