Nationwide protests have swept Iran for 12 days now and analysts agree that this movement is fundamentally different than previous cost-of-living or women’s rights-driven protests. According to the latest reporting, over 111 cities in Iran are rising up against the brutal Islamic regime of Ayatollah Khamenei after 47 years of oppression under the Islamic Republic and the regime has responded by declaring war on the people. According to multiple outlets and my own on-the-ground sources,

We've been at war with Iran or decades and that war will continue unless there is a regime change. I think the U.S. along with Israel should seize this opportunity to bring regime change.

"Boots on the ground" wouldn't necessarily be required. Airstrikes on Iranian internal security facilities facilities could be a next step.

Hopefully, Musk's Star link system is now available to Iran and the citizens can do what they need to do. We need to stay out of it because we don't need any kore Muslims in our country. Mamdani and Omar are examples of why?

I'm thinking that they have been chanting "Death to America" for decades now, and providing weapons to terrorists to kill Americans for decades. If a few planeloads of rifles and ammo somehow fell into the rebel hands.....I'd think this was about a 1% installment on what they are owed.

I know and love several Iranians here in the states. They often complain about how their money has lost so much value, and they always say they hate their government. What is nagging at me is that they were not willing to fight due to the oppression and corruption, but they finally baulked at the financial hardship. Americans would probably choose the opposite. We can always get more money, but freedom is essential.

The decision by Brazil’s Federal Council of Medicine to open a formal investigation into the healthcare received by former President Jair Bolsonaro is neither a routine administrative procedure nor a hasty reaction to political noise. It is a serious institutional act, undertaken following formal complaints that raise doubts about whether the Brazilian state ensured adequate medical care for a patient with a complex and widely known clinical history. The initiative comes from the highest regulatory body of the medical profession and occurs at a particularly sensitive moment, both due to the personal situation of the individual involved and the country’s political climate.

She really doesn’t have much choice. President Trump has shown the Venezuelan government how the U.S. can put a complete stranglehold on the South American country if they do not adhere to the transition plans of Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the enforcer. Following the U.S. capture of Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela’s new government under Delcy Rodríguez has begun releasing political prisoners in a bid to foster unity and peace. The change in Venezuelan politics comes directly as the result of President Trump using the military to block oil shipments, the major source of revenue for the nation. The move seems to indicate a potential shift in Venezuela’s political landscape,

Fledgling Mayor Zohran Mamdani is already facing blowback for his tardy, halfhearted response to back-to-back police shootings – including friction with NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, The Post has learned. Mamdani – who backed off his ardent “defund the police” stance during the mayoral campaign – waited 16 hours before he released a statement addressing the bloody pair of police-involved shootings, despite being briefed by Tisch right after each unfolded roughly six hours apart Thursday. The murky Friday morning statement further stoked fury by emphasizing an “internal investigation” would follow the shootings, which some insiders believed implied wrongdoing by NYPD officers, when such probes are par for the course, police sources said.

Republican Sen. It’s going to happen. I thought Maduro would be out by Christmas. It took a little bit longer. The House on Thursday failed to override President Trump’s vetoes of two previously uncontroversial bills concerning a Colorado water project and expanding lands of a tribe in Florida. The move showcases House Republicans’ loyalty to the president and support for his political battles, as the vetoes had been seen as instances of Trump acting on political grudges.A vote to override Trump’s veto on a Colorado water project — a bill spearheaded by Trump ally Rep. In the footage being widely circulated on social media from varying angles, ICE officers approach a plum-colored Honda Pilot and order the driver out of the vehicle after she blocked the path of their truck. As one of the agents attempts to open the door, she quickly throws the car into reverse before trying to speed forward in the direction of another agent in her path.

Pakistan has repeatedly demonstrated its unreliability as a strategic partner. Pakistan's leadership unfortunately prefers Iran to the United States — not to mention Israel. Unfortunately, the US cannot trust Pakistan — especially in Gaza. Pakistan has, to this day, never recognized Israel. Pakistan was also the first country to recognize the Islamic Republic of Iran after Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini established it in 1979. Iran had been the first country to recognize Pakistan upon its founding in 1947. The most recent example of Pakistan's close alliance with Iran emerged during the June 2025 Twelve-Day War — a direct armed conflict between Iran and a coalition of Israel and the United States. There is no need for an ‘assistant vice president of campus diversity’ yet many schools have them. Maybe they should start cutting those positions first.
