Democrats Turn the Thumbscrews

Everything the Democrat Party does should be seen not from an economic or a political perspective, but one of sin and suffering -- the suffering it imposes on us to expiate our imagery sins. It came to me in a flash of insight when I heard of a now-disgraced bureaucrat (“an undersecretary of climate change” in Massachusetts) who told a gathering of his colleagues that to fight melting ice caps and rising sea levels they would have to “break the will” of ordinary Americans, by “turning the screws” -- raising energy costs so high that they would have to “stop emitting.” Admirable candor from a functionary

We're now dealing with some really sick people. Their hunger for power is appalling. Climate change is a total hoax and not one, not one single prediction has come true. According to Al Gore and the rest of these whack jobs, the polar bears should have already been extinct and NYC should already be under water. Plus the two biggest polluters in the world are China and India. Has anyone heard of these morons going after China or India. Didn't think so....

I never understood the "dark ages" of European history and how that came to be and could last so long. I do know that it was finally ended by the Renaissance. I feel we have entered a dark age in American history, not just a dark winter. Let's hope we see an American Renaissance in our lifetime.

Absolutely right. The Democrat Party has morphed from a political organization into a fanatical and evil religious movement. Their god is government and the greatest sin is to hold any opinion different from theirs. Like all fanatics, there is no reasoning with them . Their only goal is ultimate power for their great god government. Any who do not bow down and worship must be destroyed. They must be opposed at all levels in all ways possible or the great American experiment in self-government and individual liberty is over.

We ourselves turn this thumbscrew by electing and re-electing these fools, then wanting them to pass laws to protect us from our poor judgement. When was government EVER to be TRUSTED?

He’s wrong. It’s punishment for punishment’s sake. Democrats have been doing this since long before they became “woke”, especially with raising taxes. The reasons for punishing people don’t matter—its their inherent nastiness. Democrats are evil people, plain and simple.

PJ Media’s Megan Fox has a very disturbing six-part series on alleged judicial corruption in St. Louis, Missouri. The first five detail how family court guardians and psychologists are misusing their positions to siphon off money from parents in custody disputes while the St. Louis judges ignore the fraud and collude with them, by, for example, ordering children's visits with sexual molesters and/or otherwise abusive parents in order to compel the other parent to keep paying lawyers to appeal the decisions and change the arrangements. One might expect

An armed person stopped an attempted burglary in Atlanta this week, police said. On March 8 around 3:03 p.m., officers responded to a Chik-fil-A on Peachtree Street. “Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses who stated a black male walked inside, produced a firearm and demanded money from several employees. The employees fled and the suspect exited the business a short time later. Several nearby citizens confronted the suspect as he was leaving. One of the citizens was armed and at some point, during the confrontation, the citizen fired several shots. The suspect ran on foot and was apprehended nearby, by the citizens and held until police arrived,”

Did it occur to any of the leftist politicians boostering for the 'Defund the Police' far-left trope that they might just be left holding the bag? Seems not. And sure enough, it's slowly starting to dawn on them that were played for fools. Because in the wake of the media-vaunted 'defund police' movement, every last blue city in America kowtowing to this has, surprise, found itself in the middle of a crime wave. Crime-plagued blue cities are now becoming unliveable, and citizens who form their tax bases are fleeing, That presents some problems for these pols. Caracas-ization is not for the faint of heart. In a recent article for PJ Media, I discussed the decline in IQ scores across the West over the last decades, a phenomenon confirmed by many psychological studies and clinical reports. In the article I provided links and documentation as well as numerous episodes and examples in support of the survey’s conclusions. But I omitted for reasons of space what strikes me as a cardinal illustration of the contemporary erosion of common intelligence and common sense, namely, the popular belief in “climate change” and so-called renewable energy sources, and,

The Biden administration can be subjected to two empirical tests by any observer: first whether there will there be a new outbreak of war in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) owing to the repudiation of the Abraham Accords and second, will it endorse restrictions on the exercise of the First and Second Amendments? We can leave aside for a moment the question of whether these possible developments are justified or beneficial. All that need concern the analyst for the moment is whether they can be detected. They most probably can because their signal characteristics are strong enough to burn through any spin.

Politicians have too much power over our lives. Many used the pandemic as another excuse to take more. Early on, politicians declared that they would decide who was “essential.” Everyone else was told to stay home. Much of the economy stopped. Millions were laid off. Then politicians relaxed the rules for industries that they deemed “essential.” “You can’t just call somebody essential without implicitly suggesting that half the workforce is not essential,” points out Mike Rowe, host of the surprise hit TV series, “Dirty Jobs.” That’s a big problem, says Rowe, because people find purpose in work. Now the Biden administration is eager to give money to people not working. It’s pushing

Last Thursday, as the House of Representatives debated H.R. 5, the Orwellian “Equality Act,” a seemingly exasperated Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) arguably revealed the true nature of his party’s radical legislation. In response to Rep. Greg Steube’s (R-Fla.) speech quoting the Bible, Nadler declared that “what any religious tradition describes as God’s will is no concern of this Congress.” The Equality Act would enshrine the concept of “gender identity” into federal civil rights law, mandating that Americans kowtow to biologically false transgender identities. Steube quoted the Bible to express the fact that millions of Americans

If you’ve a memory longer than a nanosecond you might recall that in 2016 when he was nominated by then-President Obama to the Supreme Court to fill the vacancy created by Justice Antonin Scalia’s death, Merrick Garland was widely touted as a “moderate.” President Biden has now nominated him for the slot of Attorney General, and the confirmation vote is scheduled for this coming week. How do you define moderate? His confirmation hearings reveal to me that Garland is certainly not one: Last summer, 220 cities were besieged by gangs that attacked homes, businesses, federal buildings, and local law enforcement. New York—For years, researchers have said a lack of diversity in Hollywood films doesn't just poorly reflect demographics, it's bad business. A new study by the consulting firm McKinsey & Company estimates just how much Hollywood is leaving on the table: $10 billion. The consulting firm deduced that the $148 billion film and TV industry loses $10 billion, or 7%, every year by undervaluing Black films, filmmakers and executives.(Snip) The BlackLight Collective, a coalition of Black executives and talent in the industry,
