Last week, the Biden administration promised gun control groups that it will soon roll out a massive push for limits on firearm purchases and other measures. President Biden reiterated that promise on Sunday. And the television networks aren’t waiting to lay the groundwork for this effort.
CBS is in a full-court press for gun control on its evening entertainment television shows. The bad guys are always white supremacists who use machine guns — supposedly AR-15s — to commit mass public shootings. A father’s desire to protect his family only leads to tragedy when his daughter...

It's the same thing all over again to control the sheeple. Global warming? Mis-information. Flu pandemic? Mis-information. Green energy? Mis-information. Voter fraud? Mis-information. Election results? Mis-information. I see a pattern here.

With the number of semi-automatic guns sold in the U.S. since the Obama Administration, this dog won't hunt. And in places like NYC, the only people allowed to concealed carry are the same people crying out for "Gun Control".

One of the really good things about legal concealed carry being far easier now than it was in the 50, 60s and 70s is that many, many millions of people own guns for self protection, or have friends or relatives that carry guns for self protection. This familiarity puts lie to these propaganda shows.
It seems like the extreme leftist states like NY, and most of the NE will continue their antigun laws since essentially none of the ordinary people there can carry a gun legally. Only California, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, NY, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Hawaii make it difficult-to-impossible to get a concealed carry permit. From what I understand, rural NY and California have some counties where permits are reasonably available, NJ, MD, Hawaii make it essentially impossible to get a permits. In Connecticut, just under 300K have permits, so while restrictive, they don't make it impossible. By comparison, in NJ, there are under 1,000 total permits with a population of 9 million. In MD, 28K permits in 6 million population. Not impossible, but damned improbable.
Those places where essentially NO average person carries a gun legally, people are likely to buy the TV lies. Where people know people who are legally armed, they see that the TV stories are just stories, and in real life - guns are just tools, used for good by good people and bad by bad people.

Another network to avoid. I like "CSI" but ion it is a minefield of innuendo and misinformation I will just skip it and anything else along those lines. I want to be entertained, not preached to OR slyly educated.

My biggest gripe about the fun, but often silly, MacGyver show was the endless drumbeat of antigun BS in it. He'd disarm a killer bad guy, and have 4 more to deal with and throw away the gun he had just capture, and depend on flour and a broomstick to defeat three or four armed criminals. 🙄
Periodically they'd flashback to a childhood gun accident....to explain why guns are always bad. BS.

I can honestly say that I haven't watched any prime-time CBS (or any of the other mainstream networks) shows in the last few years.
Pro-abortion, homosexual-loving, Christian-hating, shows are just not "entertainment" in my book!!!

Not working.
US gun sales through federally licensed dealers:
1999 9 million
2000 - 2005 8-9 million/year
2005 - 2010 10 million at first increased to 14 million
2011 - 16.5 million steadily increasing
2015 - 23 million
2016 - 27.5 million
2017 - 25 million
2018 - 26 million
2019 - 28 million
2020 - 39 million
The month of Jan, 2021 - 4 million ( so 48 million if it holds)
So, in the last 20 years about 310 million guns have been sold through dealers. This is probably 2/3 new guns, 1/3 used. There is a lot of legal sales of used guns in most states, too.
Probably 200 million or more NEW guns sold in the USA in the last 20 years. People know what they want to keep themselves and their families safe. And it isn't a cop on a phone.

I knew what show the author was talking about before I even saw the page. My husband and I never missed any of the NCIS shows. They were good, mostly patriotic and had manly men. I continued to record them this year and we agreed that if the episode included a social justice story line and/or "lecture" that would be it. We watch no more. Every stinking show thinks it has to be "A very special episode."
At this point the only network show we still watch is Seal Team on CBS. As of now it is still packed with manly men exemplifying "Duty, Honor and Country." I can't even remember the last time I cried from sadness and pride watching a TV show. (If you have never seen it, please start with season one and watch through. It gets better and better)

May dad refused to watch Law and Order. Probably because of leftist narratives. That show was never good, but was on the air for decades. Maybe it’s still on.

#9, I used to love NCIS too - the show was patriotic and pro-military. But then they got woke. I quit watching several years ago due to 2 episodes which were shown back to back on consecutive Tuesdays. In the first, they got an innocent Muslim released from Gitmo and Bishop stood outside the prison wondering how many more innocents were imprisoned there. The following week it was a show sympathetic to the poor illegals living in the shadows. That was it for me.
But on top of that I learned that Harmon is a big gun control advocate, yet he makes millions upon millions firing weapons on television every week. I wonder how many episodes there have been in which he didn’t kill someone. Not many. But it brings in the Benjamins and that’s what matters.

It is past time for the entertainment industry (cable, television, motion pictures, videos, music, print) to put an end to the blood and guts oozing from their so-called entertainment efforts. This household seldom watches television other than some PBS programs which, unfortunately, now include far too many murder/mystery programs, due to the saturation of blood, guts, sex, violence, perversion, and filthy language.
Is it any wonder that too many among a generation or two of youngsters have grown up to become hoodlums; lead alcohol and/or drug riddled lives; are into perverted lifestyles; have no regard for human life at all levels; no respect for law, order, or the elderly; no regard for the history of this country and the blood, sweat, and tears that made America great; have no manners; do not possess any ambition or work ethic; have no knowledge of or regard for God?
How did this happen? With certainty, the entertainment industry saturating the population with such trash and, in some instances—perhaps too many—lack of parental guidance and discipline. Money talks. Decent, law abiding people need to turn off their televisions or at least be very selective in what they permit coming into their households; if viewership falls off, advertisers become sparse.
As is so typical of leftist mentality, blame the innocent to accommodate the leftist agenda—gun control. It is not the “good guy” violating gun laws, it is the hoodlum—and hoodlums will get guns regardless of gun control.

Currently being reviewed by the US House is HR127. A new piece of legislation by US Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee from Texas. What a shocker if it passes! You will need to register (brand, model, serial # and location) all your guns to become a registered gun owner. You will be required to pass a mental evaluation and safety training and more. On top of all that, you will need insurance coverage.
This is not good

The Soviet era propaganda artists had nothing over the US fake and misleading TV networks of today. It’s sad as today while the Russia of today is looking to expand free speech and to eliminate the censoring of their citizens by big tech, the leftists and liberal Democrats in the USA are all for censoring and putting out false and misleading propaganda. Clearly the huge problems today are in the Democrat run big cities where criminal gangs are using illegal and stolen guns to murder and assault people. There are no White Supremacists in those cities.

I live in Maryland #4, and when I ordered a firearm, instead of getting the two 18 round magazines which come with the firearm, I got nothing. No magazines at all. Maryland has a 10 round limit to magazines. So instead of getting replacement 10 rounders with the gun, I got no magazines at all. The company I ordered from won't ship a firearm to Maryland with mags with a greater capacity then 10 rounds. They just take them out and probably resell the mags I paid for. Last time I order from online.

Bummer, on the missing magazines, #16. Often, in non-mag capacity limited states the 10 rd mags are not available, since nobody wants them, so no dealer typically carries them. I suspect that your seller had no reasonable access to the special limited mags, so wouldn't break the law by sending 'illegal' magazines.
Sucks to live in places with crazy laws. I hope that owning normal mags is legal in MD, but no idea. Some states they are legal to own, not to buy or sell. So, on your next trip to a saner place, if they are legal to own, you can pick up a few normal mags. If not legal to own.....sorry.

On a gun related topic....
For those who are really desperate for some 9mm ammo...some is out there, but at double or triple the normal prices.
I just got an email from Centerfire Systems....200 rds of 9mm FMJ for $160, so 80 cents a round, instead of the more normal 25 to 30 cents 18 months ago.
Yikes!
