For more than 30 years, Rush Limbaugh sat down and talked to Americans about America. Across the country, in pickup trucks, roadside diners and quiet cubicles where his listeners were obliged to wear headphones lest they offend, his rich baritone rolled out of the air, and it spoke the truth. Rush Limbaugh changed the course of American history. Without him, the conservative movement and the country would be fundamentally different today. For this, the left cursed him, and some on the right as well. But in the end, he beat them back time and again. CORRECTION*

Can anyone please explain to me how this man, purportedly a true Conservative, could marry a McCain? He speaks and writes as genuine and sincere in his passion for a political philosophy that is 180 degrees from those his wife's family exemplifies. Is he a fraud? I just don't get this.

Rush did not change the course of American history. No one can. History is what has already happened.Rush educated us and Rush gave voice to all of us that would not follow the hate filled suicidal left. And he was great at it. The pain is deep.

Rush was forced by circumstance to fill in where Civics classes used to be, before Democrats called it propaganda and canceled them.
Hollywood is all over themselves wishing Rush to the warm place. I had a thought.
When they get there, and look around for Rush the Devil will be playing EIB for them, through eternity - just so they know what they missed out on. Talent, on Loan, from God...

Love it #3!
I can't tell you how many times I sat in the car listening to Rush, waiting for an "obscene profit time-out" to run inside so I didn't miss a word! Heartbroken doesn't adequately describe it...

Have listened to Rush since the early 1990s. He had more humanity, wisdom, decency and love for America in his little finger than that whole sorry bunch of leftists and socialists who've worked tirelessly to bring him down, and failed. They can say all the nasty, vile things they can conjure up in their frenzied, rotten and hateful minds - toward conservatism - and Rush. It won't change what millions of people here and around the world admire and will miss every single day from now on. God bless you, Rush. Rest in peace and contentment - as you have filled our hearts and minds with hope, humor, truth - and so much more. Job well done, Rush. We love you.

"...for those of you in Rio Linda..."
"...Mr Snerdly..."
"...in my formerly nicotine-stained hands RUSTLE RUSTLE RUSTLE RUSTLE..."
"...EEE...EYE...BEE Network..."
"Talent. SO MUCH talent. On loan from God..."
I'll miss all his little sayings and his wickedly funny sense of humor.
Also will miss his little talks about his father, who was a P-51 fighter pilot in WWII...

Kathryn's father knew John McCain at Annapolis. She is not a McCain - maiden name Rogers.
33 yr listener. When he first came on my friends told me I had to listen to him - they said "he sounds like you" - nice complement.

Since all of Rush's shows were recorded. Radio stations could just replay his shows. A sort of refresher course for everyone each day. Also, I wonder where the Golden EIB microphone will end up? No one else can use it. Maybe the Museum of American history. It can be displayed along with other American iconic items such as the Ruby slippers Judy Garland wore in the movie "The Wizard of Oz", or the chair Carol O'Conner sat in playing Archie Bunker, or Fonzie's jacket.

Rush always put conservative ideas and individualism, and love of country before party each and every single time. That is pretty much the definition of a patriotic conservative. I suspect that Lucianne would relate very well to Ben and Meghan #1, since she was a liberal when she met her late husband Sydney Goldberg. It is possible for this to work.
