Top Republicans on several committees are demanding answers from Speaker Nancy Pelosi regarding security decisions made leading up to and on the day of the Capitol riot on Jan. 6. House Administration Committee Ranking Member Rodney Davis, House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan, House Oversight Committee Ranking Member James Comer and House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Devin Nunes sent a letter to Pelosi, D-Calif., on Monday, saying that "many important questions" about her "responsibility for the security" of the Capitol on Jan. 6 "remain unanswered."

I would like to see how many messages she exchanged with Terry McAuliffe, the former governor of Virginia. He was the architect of the Charlottesville, VA police riot along with the police chief that drove the local statue removal protesters into the path of Antifa and lead to the planned violence between the groups. If a false flag operation worked so well to attack Trump with the perpetual lie of painting him as a white supremacist in one town it should work just as well in Washington, DC.

I don't think the questions will go away on this one. One reason is their own butts are at risk. Pelosi had the resources but decided not to use them. What would have happened if the threat had been a significant one? Secondly, the old GOP is no longer calling the shots the way they used to. The times they are a changing.

Note to GOP Congressmen: after you let them steal an election they don't care about your 'demands'. You counted on going back to the good ol' days of a comfortable gig in the minority party and profitable revolving door swamp critters? All you had to do was let the Rats dump Trump and steal an election from those "voters who can't be trusted". How's that works out for you now they are trying to arrest everyone who has committed the new criminal offense of being a registering Republican? Flail, rend your garments, make a big show out of it; but your game is over in the next primary.

You want a 9-11 style commission on the 'capitol hill riot'? You'll have to get Nancy subpoenaed and testify. She was/is in charge of the Capitol Hill police, the 19th largest police department in the country with a budget of $460 million... oh, and BTW, their head called 6 times for National Guardsmen to back them up BEFORE Jan 6th.

Pelosi and McConnell as the ranking politicians in the Congress were ultimately responsible for the physical security of the US Capitol building. Obviously they showed their incompetence in that respect by not reinforcing the Capitol Police allowing an unarmed fringe mob to gain unlawful entry to that building, assault Capitol Police officers, and cause havoc as they roamed the building. Both Pelosi and McConnell, obviously to cover their butts, immediately started blaming Trump for the riot at the Capitol and pushed a snap impeachment action against Trump without first having a competent and legitimate investigation conducted to determine the identifies of the individuals involved in that mob, the organizations that they belonged to, and their true motives. Since Trump has now been acquitted in a Senate impeachment trail, now is the time to initiate such a bipartisan investigation. Nobody has ever told the nation what benefit Trump would hope to gain by inciting that lawless mob to break into the Capitol building, assault police officers and damage government property or do anything else other than peacefully protest. That is an important factor as being unlawful and violent is not the history of Trump who has always backed law enforcement in the performance of their duties, of the history of the huge so-called MAGA assemblies or rallies that have always been law abiding and peaceful in the past.

In 2012, Attorney General Eric Holder appeared before at Northwestern University Law School to announce President Obama’s “kill list” policy, under which he reserved the right to unilaterally order the death of any American deemed an imminent threat. After all, Holder explained, “the Constitution guarantees due process, not judicial process.” The response was as chilling as the message: The audience of judges, lawyers and law students applauded an attorney general who just told them that any of them could be killed tomorrow on the president’s order. Some of us denounced the "kill list" policy, which foreshadowed what has become a campaign against due process.

But what Rush Limbaugh did was bring that message to millions. And not just the message — he brought both comedy and empathy to the message. He brought joy to it. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
