At least six people are dead from a massive freeway pileup in Fort Worth, Texas, according to Fort Worth police.
Over 100 vehicles were involved in the crash on I-35, and multiple people were trapped in their cars, the fire department said.Sixty-five people were hurt in the accident, which was reported shortly after 6 a.m., authorities said.

Many commentators these days are pronouncing the Republican Party dead, or nearly dead, or dying, or something. A news article today in the New York Times is headlined, "'There's Nothing Left': Why Thousands of Republicans Are Leaving the Party."
It is true that Democrats now control the White House, the House, and (barely) the Senate. Just four years ago, Republicans controlled all three. So no one can argue that the GOP is doing well.

Two small clusters of deaths after COVID-19 vaccination have been reported among nursing homes in Kentucky and Arkansas.
In Kentucky, four seniors died the same day of their vaccination on Dec. 30, 2020. Three of the four who passed away reportedly already had had coronavirus prior to getting vaccinated.
In Arkansas, four seniors died at a long term care facility about a week after their vaccination. All tested positive for COVID-19 after vaccination.

Angel families are relatives of those who have been killed by an illegal immigrant.

Mendoza’s son, Brandon, was killed in a 2014 car crash caused by an illegal immigrant who was drunk, high on meth, and speeding along a Mesa, Arizona, highway in the wrong direction. Brandon, a sergeant on the Mesa police force, was 32 years old.
To the extent that Joe Biden drew votes, a very big reason was the expectation from parents and students that he would re-open the public schools, currently on extended shutdown over COVID concerns. That was his promise, that was a signature issue, with many pixels spilled in multiple spots on Biden's campaign website supporting the claim that he was serious about re-opening schools.
Now that he's in office, too bad for those who actually believed him.

I have a question. When did politicians and federal employees start calling themselves “public servants”? Even more importantly, why are we letting them? It’s almost as if they’re trying to claim the mantle of nobility for making a sacrifice in the public interest. But I don’t understand what that sacrifice is. They’re paid better and have better benefits than most private-sector employees. They’re rarely held accountable for their performance. Progressives are forever trying to manipulate language to persuade a leery public, and on Wednesday MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski declared “You’re not a patriot if you can’t see what happened here.”Brzezinski was talking about the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, targeting Republican lawmakers who do not support former President Donald Trump being impeached for allegedly inciting violence. She pressed the point that the violent few who broke away from an earlier “Stop the Steal” rally “came because of Trump. And everybody knows it.”
