The headline of a January 29 column by the Washington Post's Kathleen Parker read: 'The GOP isn't doomed. It's dead." Parker is not alone. Many commentators these days are pronouncing the Republican Party dead, or nearly dead, or dying, or something. A news article today in the New York Times is headlined, "'There's Nothing Left': Why Thousands of Republicans Are Leaving the Party."
It is true that Democrats now control the White House, the House, and (barely) the Senate. Just four years ago, Republicans controlled all three. So no one can argue that the GOP is doing well.

You keep believing that sunshine. Even with all the damage that the democrats are about to do to this country, I do not believe that all the fear-mongering the GOP will heap on us in 2022 and how only they can reverse the tide will convince enough to save them. We now know what the GOP is.

If they can replace 80 million of us, they have a shot at survival.
Although with Romney, Kasich, Liz Cheney, Bill Kristol, National Review, et. al., leading the charge, you may want to bet the under.

I am not voting in rigged elections, nor I am supporting a party ran by RINOs. The RINOs control the leadership, have enormous seniority, and you can primary, and elect conservatives for the next 12 years, and they will still be in the leadership positions, and control the committees. The only way we have of getting around the seniority issue, getting into party leadership, is to form a new party, and appoint our own conservative leaders, and put them into leadership of the committees. At present, we have zero bargaining power with the entrenched party leadership. And forget about 2022 or later. We have been next election for over 50 years, and have gotten nowhere, except to a totalitarian communist dictatorship. That is not getting it done. The Republican Party is too weak. All the Party does is point out hyprocrisy, complain about mistreatment. Who do they think can do anything about it, besides them? We elected them as representatives to fight for us. What does the Party want us to do? We do not have the positions, or the power or resources that goes with those positions. They do, but they will not use, or do it. The Republican Party has sat there and done nothing while the 2020 election was stolen in front of their faces. Now the Republican Party is participating in smearing the leader of the Republican Party, even voting against that leader in an unconstitutional smear. That is a total betrayal of the Party membership, and they should be whipped for it.

Wow Byron, how out of touch can you be? FTA: "It seems the GOP-is-dead talk is coming mostly from groupthink journalists and Democrats..."
Wrong. It's coming from about 80 million Americans who are done with a back stabbing party who hates them and never seems to gain any ground. Stupid swamp creatures, they have no idea what they have done.

Things are almost NEVER as they seem to be.
Conservatives are ticked off and they ARE showing their disapproval. But come time for an election, the utter distaste for liberalism insanity will steer them back to do whatever they can to make democrats lose.
The ONLY way democrats WON this past election was the unforeseen PLANDEMIC and the fact that Republicans in Georgia who did not NEED the money... opened up their own demise by trading stocks that profited from the PLANDEMIC before it was public knowledge.
If I were the head of the RNC I would lay down the law with this. Conservatives have to be beyond even the APPEARANCE of sin. We have to be blameless. There are NO conservative Clintons, Kennedys or Barrys. Misdeed stick to Republicans because the media will MAKE them stick.
That is how Larry Craig loses his political life by touching someone's foot in a public restroom while Ted Kennedy gets to kill a woman and become one of liberal's finest.
Republicans cannot DO THIS ^&*# and expect to get away with it. We have to live by a higher standard... period. No other way it is going to work.
And, for those thinking a third party is the answer? The most successful third party of the last decade (Perot) is the ONLY reason "Bill Clinton" is not the answer to a difficult trivia question in 2021.

I may still vote Republican. Although now that my representative, both senators, governor and all key state offices are held by Dems it makes me wonder why I would bother. It seems a waste of time and effort. I won't waste any money on RINO candidates or on any organization with "Republican" in the title.

In response to the Ross Perot comment Donald Trump is not Ross Perot he can turn the republicans into the leftover minority spoiler party in a heart beat. Times are different the batch of left over RINO republicans won't win any future elections if the fraud voting isn't addressed the democrats own the machines and republicans let them do the vote counting. The republicans could have backed the party's choice in 2016 but chose not to. Now the republicans are lying to themselves to think they are relevant when they blew a wonderful chance to govern under Trump. The republicans are DOA with a very foggy future.

Who dug them up and asked them if they were really dead? It may not be universal opinion but "dead to me" is becoming a very popular phrase. One thing is certain, the next election will not find too many of them breathing and the Dominion machines will heartily agree.

Everytime someone writes off the Republicans or the Democrats, that prediction usually comes back to bite them in the backside in about 2-4 years. Although I'm abit worried this time as the Democrats and their fellow ruling elites are fixing the game so we can't win a fair election ever again.

Just four years ago, Republicans controlled all three. Yea and what did they do with it. Nothing, they still folded like a bunch of wimps and allowed communist democrats to retake everything based on complete lies. They allowed racists, bigots and anti semites to take over the house and the senate. They allowed these anti Americans who hate our country to actually succeed in pushing their sick agenda. Joe Biden is their puppet and they are doing anything they please with zero resistance. GOP death premature. I don't think so.

The Beltway, Wall street, the Hamptons and Country Club elitists are leaving. Adios! They're doing us a favor. We don't want them or need them.
Think of this as separating the chaff from the wheat or The populists who are are now the True Republican party. The party of the vast right wing Middle Class, The Tea Party, the forgotten man and woman, the small business owner, taxpayer, folks in flyover country, rural and small town America and lastly, American patriots who still believe in God and America First.

I changed my voter registration to Unaffiliated back in December. Not an easy decision. But, after forking over two thousand bucks into President Trump's campaign only to witness an election fraud of the ages, I had had enough of being soaked by corruption. Not Trump's fault at all. The cast of characters who brought this debacle upon us, starting with Turtle and Pierre Delecto, is long. The chicoms, deep state, globalists, and the msm own this debacle.
However, if it is true that the RINO pubbies are now discussing forming their own new party, more power to them. Go for it, clowns. As our lovely TQ has pointed out elsewhere on L.com, this will make our job a lot easier in 2022 when it comes time to primary out the RINOs and mis-behavers. Then Trump owns the Republican party and can re-build it. The right, spiritual, and moral way. If this happens, I'm back as a registered Republican - in mind, body, spirit, and money.

The GOP is dead to me. I can't speak for anyone else. A few too many stabs in President Trump's back after November 3rd to ever call myself that nasty name again.
Oh, I will still support solidly conservative candidates that run as Republicans. I'm not stupid. But my support will go directly to their campaigns, never to the Republi-Can't Party again!!!!
I have been a Republican my whole life (and I am 63 now). But now I am a "conservative independent". But I will never vote for a useless RINO again, just because he or she has an "R" after their name. I did that for most of my life, because I saw a RINO Republican to be the "lesser of two evils". I was wrong. A RINO is just as evil as a Demon-Rat, and I will never vote for evil again!!!!!

Mitch McConnell and Kkkarl Rove are the evil twins and lords and masters of the GOP Doom Crew. They destroyed it from within in order to bring about their uniparty dream. Schumer and Pelosi are their puppet masters. Obama is their messiah and Savior. Their god is the almighty dollar and power is their drug of choice. You can quote me on this ok.

We'll see about that. I refuse to dishonor my vote by participating in US Fraud Elections where it will be stolen by scum.
The Republican Party has made it clear they will do nothing to clean up our illegitimate government's complete & total corruption .
They will never get another vote from me.

#7, you may be shocked come 11/22. There are a lot of us who will NEVER vote Republican again no matter how odious the demonrat candidate. At least we’ll get the devil we know instead of a fraud who will stab us in the back as soon as he/she arrives in DC.

After a few weeks of Biden's non-leadership I highly doubt the republican party is dead. Republicans do Not need a new party, just flush out the fake republicans. It's almost impossible to create a 3rd party. Don't allow a few people like Romney & Bush to push you out, just select better candidates.
