Much of the National Mall is set to close to the public ahead of Inauguration Day in Washington, D.C., another security crackdown as armed men and women in military uniforms guard streets, federal buildings and monuments including the Lincoln Memorial. Several bridges between D.C. and Virginia also will be closed. Businesses have boarded up their windows near the zone of closed-off streets where President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris are set to be inaugurated on Wednesday. The Dems are in fear of the American People. This show of force would be more appropriate to Red Square than the National Mall. They took the elections by deceit, and are trying to put the Candidate in place by using the Military. Now you may ask, who dispatched the National Guard to occupy D.C.? The answer is what was once the duty of the sitting President was turned over to the Dept. of Defense during the 1940's.

Do the Democrat controlled FBI, DOJ and Pentagon have to put any more fear of retribution into GOP Senators and House members? The Repubs are already apologizing to their black constituents for questioning Biden’s win. In addition to 25,000 heavily armed troops, concertina wire, 12 ft high barriers and armored vehicles, the DNC is having the troops close bridges into and presumably out of DC.

So, the democrats are protecting themselves from themselves? What a waste of taxpayer dollars to bring in the National Guard. Any Trump supporters should be traveling to Mira Lago in FL to see the rightful President. They'd be welcomed in Florida, one of the remaining bastions of freedom in the USA left. There ought to not be one MAGA hat or banner in DC. Let them eat themselves. President Trump, many of us out here still have your back. Have the American Celebration in Florida!

Back in sane times, my 9th grade self and my younger brother used to ride the bus from suburban northern Virginia into DC, getting off at E-street, near the Mall. We'd spend a Saturday at the tiny Quonset hut which served as the "Air Museum" of the Smithsonian, with three or for actual rockets standing outside. The old red brick building was full of just fun steam engines, gun displays and more. And nearby was the US Army pathology museum......all sorts of "cool" pix and x-rays of gruesome diseases and injuries, shocking and fun for young boys of the middle '60s. Life was simpler, better and freer then. Cowboy shows on the TV every day of the week, driving the neighbor kid's go cart in the street, helping him keep it running, sledding on the dead end hill in winter. Delivering afternoon papers on the paper route to pay for .22 rifle ammo and model airplane kits and supplies. I miss those times.

It looks like Biden's inauguration on the Capitol Mall will have something in common with Biden's basement, almost nobody will be there. On January 6th the violent fiasco that took place at the unsecure Capitol building, scaring the "crap" out of the Congressional aristocracy, as crazies and fringe elements broke into the building and assaulted police officers, essentially opened the barn door and allowed all the horses to run away. In that respect none of those crazies and fringe elements are going to show up for round two when there is an overwhelming show of force in place.

Ambulances circle the city waiting for a spot to open up in emergency rooms. The ICU’s are at zero capacity. They are running out of oxygen. The emergency rooms are treating six patients at a time. Yes, the proposal does include billions for vaccine distribution, testing, school reopenings, and the like. But it also includes blatant partisan priorities, such as a federal $15 minimum wage. Looking at the most analogous case, the impeachment of President Andrew Jackson, he finds plenty of reason for senators to vote against it.
