Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), the third-highest ranking Republican leader in the House, announced Tuesday that she'll vote to impeach President Donald Trump for his role in inciting a deadly insurrection at the Capitol last week.
You can read Cheney's original statement here, or view the full text below. "On January 6, 2021 a violent mob attacked the United States Capitol to obstruct the process of our democracy and stop the counting of presidential electoral votes. This insurrection caused injury, death and destruction in the most sacred space in our Republic.
"Much more will become clear in coming days and weeks, but what we know now is enough

I'm am very disappointed in Liz Cheney. I used to respect her. She has lost my respect. I suggest that she touch base with her constituents before she take this any further.
This will come back to bite her, and hard!
Regardless of how she feels today about the events of January 6, this judgement is too soon, completely unnecessary and she is likely to be proven a fool.

I have despised Cheney since her nonsense against Steve King, who is a good conservative. First she came for Steve, now she comes for Trump. Join the Democrat Party, Liz. You seem to think your duties are getting rid of other Republicans, instead of replacing Democrats.

Yes #1, when CNN is calling you the 'conscience of the Republicans'-- kind of a signal you're barking up the wrong tree. All this GOP virtue-signaling is really getting nauseating. Those who agree might want to call Liz at 202-225-2311 and let her know how you feel--

I have just read an announcement by Congressman Liz Cheney, she has declared publicly, that she will vote to impeach President Donald J. Trump, again. I sent the following letter to Congressman Cheney and Senator Barrasso several weeks ago, requesting a reply. Have not heard from Congressman Cheney, which I have found is not unusual, unless a salutation for funds is included.
"These are the times that try men's souls." This simple quotation from Founding Father Thomas Paine's , not only describes the beginnings of the American Revolution, but also the Constitutional crisis we face today.
According to a recent poll 50% of voters believe the election is illegitimate, 68% of Republicans and 39% of Democrats.
Where is the support from the Wyoming Congressional Delegation, for a investigation into voter fraud in the 2020 election?
70.38% of Wyoming votes were cast for President Donald J. Trump. Were you not elected to represent Wyoming voters?
It has been my belief that so-called "Public Servants" should represent their constituents as they purport to do when running for office. I often find that is not the case, and wonder why. Perhaps the answer can be obtained if you follow the money.
According to published financial records Congressman Liz Cheney raised nearly $3,000,000,000.00 in the last election cycle. Only 6.12% came from individual small donors who I assume were Wyoming citizens. Her largest donors include Morgan Stanley, Castle Harlan Inc and Lawyers/Law Firms. I wonder where her loyalties lie?
Has our congressional delegation been bought and paid for by Corporate interests ?
If so, the problem could be easily solved if you could only donate to those you can vote for.

Just why, Liz, is the capitol any more sacred than main street? Why should you and yours be protected anymore than the rest of use from the America you have helped create? If it's wrong in Washington, it's
just as wrong in Portland, Seattle, and everywhere else.

Liz,
You're either right or wrong. If you're wrong, you're a nazi- using governmental powers to shut down opposition to your views. If you're right, you've accomplished nothing and undermined the country.
I think you're wrong. There is no need to do this, it accomplishes nothing for the country, only does it harm, and if you're really in the flush of anger about this- as opposed to merely being a political opportunist- let your anger cool down before you do something that is a bigger assault on our country than the riot- especially if the riot was fomented by dimocrat provocateurs. It certainly was not fomented by Trump in any sane use of the word.

There is somehow this notion going around that if impeached (again) and removed from office that he will be barred form holding public office ever again. I find a surprising number of Americans including my wife who seem to believe this is true. Please, from a Canadian legal immigrant, pull out your copy of the US Constitution and bloody READ IT. Article 3 particularly. Impeached federal judge Alcee Hastings might disagree with you.

Where was her outrage when there was a real cause for it when the US was burning with riots from East to West coast. Don't recall a word. Over 30 policemen were killed, not a word from you.
Cheyney, apparently you haven't gotten the drift, the people were fed up by hypocrites like you. DC lives just by one edict, get elected, stay elected.

Unless double secret facts exist about what President Trump did on Jan. 6, here are two theories: Liz Cheney has decided to leave Congress and pursue business interests. Or, Liz runs for re-election and maybe she thinks she can become Speaker. Although I am not a strategist, my political instincts are pretty good. I think if Liz Cheney runs in 2022, she will face a strong primary challenge. I don’t know if Wyoming primary election law requires 50 percent to avoid a runoff. But assuming Liz Cheney advances to the 2022 general election, I believe she will be defeated by a democrat.

The rats have long desecrated the "most sacred space". Its a beautiful historical government building not a religious building. All summer we were told its just property. Why didnt they protect it from a small group of bad guys. When i marched over AFTER Trump finished his speech everything was wide open, most LEF didnt appear to be on alert and we could just walk up to the doors without information not to or anything was amiss. The official word was they thought only thousands would be there. I knew the minute i saw his tweet on the morning of dec. 19 there would be over a million there. Flights from seattle were booked within the hour but i assumed they added more. Hotels booked up quick. TSA tracks screenings. Lots of people in town the day before. I figured there would be thousands of bad guys and thats why i wore head, eye, face, neck, and groin protection. Completely unnecessary patriots were not the target, the capital was. I over protected based on just a few weeks before, they under protected based on a plan to set Trump up.
