Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), the third-highest ranking Republican leader in the House, announced Tuesday that she'll vote to impeach President Donald Trump for his role in inciting a deadly insurrection at the Capitol last week. You can read Cheney's original statement here, or view the full text below. "On January 6, 2021 a violent mob attacked the United States Capitol to obstruct the process of our democracy and stop the counting of presidential electoral votes. This insurrection caused injury, death and destruction in the most sacred space in our Republic. "Much more will become clear in coming days and weeks, but what we know now is enough

I'm am very disappointed in Liz Cheney. I used to respect her. She has lost my respect. I suggest that she touch base with her constituents before she take this any further. This will come back to bite her, and hard! Regardless of how she feels today about the events of January 6, this judgement is too soon, completely unnecessary and she is likely to be proven a fool.

I have despised Cheney since her nonsense against Steve King, who is a good conservative. First she came for Steve, now she comes for Trump. Join the Democrat Party, Liz. You seem to think your duties are getting rid of other Republicans, instead of replacing Democrats.

I have just read an announcement by Congressman Liz Cheney, she has declared publicly, that she will vote to impeach President Donald J. Trump, again. I sent the following letter to Congressman Cheney and Senator Barrasso several weeks ago, requesting a reply. Have not heard from Congressman Cheney, which I have found is not unusual, unless a salutation for funds is included. "These are the times that try men's souls." This simple quotation from Founding Father Thomas Paine's , not only describes the beginnings of the American Revolution, but also the Constitutional crisis we face today. According to a recent poll 50% of voters believe the election is illegitimate, 68% of Republicans and 39% of Democrats. Where is the support from the Wyoming Congressional Delegation, for a investigation into voter fraud in the 2020 election? 70.38% of Wyoming votes were cast for President Donald J. Trump. Were you not elected to represent Wyoming voters? It has been my belief that so-called "Public Servants" should represent their constituents as they purport to do when running for office. I often find that is not the case, and wonder why. Perhaps the answer can be obtained if you follow the money. According to published financial records Congressman Liz Cheney raised nearly $3,000,000,000.00 in the last election cycle. Only 6.12% came from individual small donors who I assume were Wyoming citizens. Her largest donors include Morgan Stanley, Castle Harlan Inc and Lawyers/Law Firms. I wonder where her loyalties lie? Has our congressional delegation been bought and paid for by Corporate interests ? If so, the problem could be easily solved if you could only donate to those you can vote for.

Liz, You're either right or wrong. If you're wrong, you're a nazi- using governmental powers to shut down opposition to your views. If you're right, you've accomplished nothing and undermined the country. I think you're wrong. There is no need to do this, it accomplishes nothing for the country, only does it harm, and if you're really in the flush of anger about this- as opposed to merely being a political opportunist- let your anger cool down before you do something that is a bigger assault on our country than the riot- especially if the riot was fomented by dimocrat provocateurs. It certainly was not fomented by Trump in any sane use of the word.

Unless double secret facts exist about what President Trump did on Jan. 6, here are two theories: Liz Cheney has decided to leave Congress and pursue business interests. Or, Liz runs for re-election and maybe she thinks she can become Speaker. Although I am not a strategist, my political instincts are pretty good. I think if Liz Cheney runs in 2022, she will face a strong primary challenge. I don’t know if Wyoming primary election law requires 50 percent to avoid a runoff. But assuming Liz Cheney advances to the 2022 general election, I believe she will be defeated by a democrat.

The rats have long desecrated the "most sacred space". Its a beautiful historical government building not a religious building. All summer we were told its just property. Why didnt they protect it from a small group of bad guys. When i marched over AFTER Trump finished his speech everything was wide open, most LEF didnt appear to be on alert and we could just walk up to the doors without information not to or anything was amiss. The official word was they thought only thousands would be there. I knew the minute i saw his tweet on the morning of dec. 19 there would be over a million there. Flights from seattle were booked within the hour but i assumed they added more. Hotels booked up quick. TSA tracks screenings. Lots of people in town the day before. I figured there would be thousands of bad guys and thats why i wore head, eye, face, neck, and groin protection. Completely unnecessary patriots were not the target, the capital was. I over protected based on just a few weeks before, they under protected based on a plan to set Trump up.

This past week, Texas State Historical Association chief historian Walter Buenger made two controversial assertions regarding the Alamo in a story published by USA Today. Although the battle has become a symbol of patriotism and freedom for many Texans and Americans, like the Confederate monuments erected after the Civil War, the myth of the Alamo has been used to “commemorate whiteness,” according to Walter L Buenger, Texas State Historical Association chair. The battle itself was relatively insignificant tactically speaking, but it gained recognition decades later in the 1890s as backlash to African Americans gaining more political power and Mexican immigration increasing

It’s the worst nightmare for public health officials and it appears to be coming true. Los Angeles County is experiencing a health emergency as hospitals are literally filling up with COVID patients. Ambulances circle the city waiting for a spot to open up in emergency rooms. The ICU’s are at zero capacity. They are running out of oxygen. The emergency rooms are treating six patients at a time. There are people in hallways waiting for a bed. The COVID crisis is hitting hospitals across the U.S. although none appear to be in as bad a shape as LA — for now. The timeline and nature of events on January 6th at the Capitol continue to unfold. However, because of what happened that day and what federal law enforcement sees as credible threats, the security around Inauguration Day is taking on an ominous tone with at least 20,000 National Guard troops deployed. Jack Murphy is a political commentator and a resident of Washington, D.C. This morning, he put out a Twitter thread about his observations of what is happening in the nation’s capital. To put it bluntly, members of our military have been deployed on American soil in what appears to be a temporary occupation around the area of the inauguration.

President-elect Joe Biden just unveiled his proposal for a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package. Democrats insist it is targeted to respond to the crisis and only full of “commonsense” measures and much-needed emergency spending. Yet, even a cursory glance at the specifics of the package reveals that it’s a Trojan horse for a sweeping liberal agenda that Biden could never otherwise get passed. Yes, the proposal does include billions for vaccine distribution, testing, school reopenings, and the like. But it also includes blatant partisan priorities, such as a federal $15 minimum wage. Biden knows that this far-left, job-killing policy would never make it out of Congress

That naturally makes me want to write about voter fraud, and who really won the election. First, this question: why are the Democrats so hysterical in their insistence that fraud not be mentioned? One reason is obvious. Joe Biden will take office under a cloud, since close to half of all Americans doubt that he really won the election. The Democrats want to stamp out

During former President Bill Clinton’s testimony before a grand jury about his Oval Office shenanigans with 22-year-old White House intern Monica Lewinsky, the Philanderer in Chief shrewdly said, in response to a question, “It depends upon what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.” In Apple CEO Tim Cook’s case, it depends on what his meaning of “that” is. More precisely, in the case of Apple’s de-platforming of conservative-leaning social media site Parler, it matters a hell of a lot what Cook’s meaning of “that” is, when he says of Parler: “We don’t consider that free speech.”
The Capitol Hill Riot Was Pelosi’s Fault,

The Capitol Police have over 2,000 sworn officers. A police force dedicated to protecting Capitol Hill has more personnel in its service than the police forces of most of the country. Congress' private cops are the 19th largest police force in the country. It’s a larger force than the police forces of Atlanta, Baltimore, Denver, or Milwaukee with a massive $460 million budget. It’s the only legislative federal force in the country that is answerable exclusively to Congress. While Democrats advocated defunding the police, their private police force budget shot up from $375 million in 2016 to $460 million in 2020. After the Capitol Hill riot, expect it to go higher. Much higher.

Senator Rand Paul (R., Ky.) warned Friday that one third of Republican voters could leave the party if GOP senators vote in impeachment proceedings to convict President Trump. Paul made the comments in an interview on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle. The senator’s remarks come amid an increasing divide between congressional Republicans who oppose impeaching the president, and a smaller number who support the measure following the riots at the Capitol on January 6. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) is reportedly hopeful that Republicans can use impeachment to purge Trump from the GOP...

A group of students at Harvard University are demanding that the degrees earned by Trump allies be revoked as punishment for their political opinions.“Harvard must revoke the degrees of alumni whose incendiary language and subversion of democratic processes—rooted in a history of white supremacist voter suppression—incited the violent insurrection on January 6,” the petition said, which was obtained by Fox Business. “This includes all who have used their platforms to deny the validity of the presidential election. They do not and should not represent a university committed to ‘strengthening democracy’

Pallets of empty cardboard boxes were delivered Wednesday to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Moving day is less than a week away and preparations are underway for Trump’s departure and the Bidens arrival. Before the Bidens arrive, deep cleaning is scheduled to take place in the White House and Jill Biden has plans for a million-dollar bathroom renovation in the East Wing. We are still in a pandemic so it’s reasonable that intense cleaning will happen as one group leaves and another moves into the White House. This year the cleaning that takes place during the transition between two administrations is more intense (and costly) than normally done.

It’s also not clear whether the event was canceled by military brass or by the president himself. The latter scenario seems unlikely given his love for the military.

As has long been transparently predictable, the eve of the inauguration of Joe Biden has coincided with the determination of state and local elected Democrat officials that the threat of a COVID-19 pandemic has passed, and economic and social life in Democrat-controlled cities and states can now begin to return to “normal”. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo made his view known earlier this week: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday he wants to start opening restaurants, theaters and offices by launching rapid testing sites in New York City and eventually at hundreds of new sites in other city centers throughout the state.

President-elect Joe Biden has unveiled a $1.9 trillion relief package that includes a third stimulus check of $1,400, in addition to the $600 direct payment issued last month. But Senator Ed Markey of Massachusetts thinks struggling Americans need more cash to weather the ongoing pandemic. Markey called for Congress to pass his proposal of $2,000 monthly stimulus checks in a statement on Friday. "The $1,400 in direct cash assistance is a down payment that will help families make rent, put food on the table, and pay the utility bills after Senate Republicans blocked that additional funding back in December," the
