Multiple air traffic controllers in New York heard a chilling threat Monday in audio obtained exclusively by CBS News: "We are flying a plane into the Capitol on Wednesday. Soleimani will be avenged."
The threat refers to Qassem Soleimani, the Iranian general killed last year in a U.S. drone strike ordered by President Trump. It was made on the one-year anniversary of Soleimani's death, for which Iranian officials have long vowed revenge.
It's unclear who sent the threat. While the government does not believe the warning of an attack is credible, it is being investigated as a breach of aviation frequencies, CBS News has learned.

As Georgians choose their two U.S. Senators in the January 5th runoff elections, the stakes could not be greater. If Democratic challengers Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff defeat incumbent Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, the result will be 50-50 deadlock between the parties. If Congress certifies Joe Biden’s Electoral College advantage on January 6, a day after the runoff, it will deliver the Senate into Democratic hands.
Because the vice president serves as the Senate’s president and can vote to break any deadlock, a Biden presidency means that Vice President Kamala Harris could cast the tie-breaking vote on any Senate matter.

Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley announced on Monday that the officers involved in the shooting of Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old black man, in August in Kenosha, Wisconsin, will not be charged.
According to Graveley, there was not sufficient and admissible evidence to support an unlawful shooting charge against law enforcement. He also clarified that Blake will not be charged.
“This was a tragedy, first and foremost, for Jacob Blake, who still suffers from grievous injuries. These are life-lasting injuries that he suffers from today,” Graveley said.
