Members of D.C. National Guard will respond when supporters of President Donald Trump protest the 2020 election results in downtown D.C. this week. The D.C. National Guard will assist the Metropolitan Police Department with crowd management and traffic control, MPD’s acting chief, Robert Contee, said at a news conference Monday morning. The department is expecting a crowd larger than at two pro-Trump events in D.C. last year. “Some of our intelligence certainly suggests there will be increased crowd sizes,” said Contee, adding, “There are people intent on coming to our city armed.” Firearms will be prohibited within 1,000 feet of demonstration activity in Washington, D.C. this week,

This is exactly what they did earlier this year. Someone provides this ammunition... and they get away with it every time.

Somebody needs to take a look at the security cameras. Preferably no one connected with City Hall.

If The Anti-Trump crowd picks up the bricks and start throwing, don't hold back. Kill 'em. Bricks are a lethal weapon and you are defending yourself. They start the violence, they die!!

This will be a mostly peaceful protest against the supporters of Pres Trump. By mostly peaceful is meant no one will go to jail. A few people will die. Many will be injured. But Mayor Bowser will certainly not prosecute anyone fighting off the Evil Trump. Lots of property will be damaged. Trump Tower will be demolished. But that is all ok. You see, we are entering a glorious Socialist future, with the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. Many of us will be in death camps (as in the Holocaust). We will be forced to wear MAGA patches on our clothes. All of our assets will be taken. That is how you do a revolution. It will be hideous. But it is all ok, as some must die for the good of the many.

I should think the ProudBoys would do well to go grab all those bricks right now. Take them to a safe place, maybe build a fortification nearby.

Read the resident's post carefully. She did NOT say they were left overnight, as in just deposited on the sidewalk last night. She said, "...they say it’s for construction work but it’s left out over night!" Big difference. Obviously they should be removed. Oh, Mayor Bowser...clean up on Pennsylvania Ave NW!

Makes one wonder. What else is being hidden that will be used as a weapon. I would wear a helmet and a bullet proof vest if I were to attend. From watching previous behavior you know the mayor of D. C. will have Trump supporters led in a direction to be ambushed and not only not protect supporters but arrest anyone who dares protect themselves.

Pour buckets of red paint or dye over the bundles of bricks. Anyone seen with red hands or gloves is yen BLM/Antifa, and fair game for being your batting practice

Must be something more potent than dye or paint to make them less 'user friendly.' How about some Doe Pee or some other skunk juice formula to anoint them?

I am wondering if the security cameras on the streets of DC conveniently had a failure overnight. Would be interesting to know if the cameras near the deposits of bricks had any mechanical problems.

"The D.C. National Guard will assist the Metropolitan Police Department with crowd management and traffic control". This is an insult to the National Guard personnel. These people are trained in warfare and how to kill or be killed. They are not trained in how to dodge bricks and rocks. They should be used in situations that they are trained for.

Growing up there was a territorial sense to your neighborhood. If someone left a load of bricks on the corner, with a history of being used in riots, me and a few friends would hold a little block party to 'discourage' whomever from helping themselves to their bricks.....just saying....

Now you know why firearms are banned. At least for those attending the rally. Those not attending the rally but are gathering outside of the location, will be armed with whatever they want with no worry about being arrested.

If Trump supporters are going to be banned from having firearms at the Trump Rally to protect themselves, there is no lawful or valid reason for the leftist Democrat "Brown Shirt" Antifa and BLM types to have access to large bricks with which they can assault Trump supporters

Thousands of President Trump’s supporters surrounded the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday afternoon as Congress met inside the building to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election. Many protested peacefully, but a substantial number did not, and the entire scene quickly devolved into utter chaos. Republican Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona claims that Antifa had provoked the chaos. Two more congressional Republicans had joined him. First, Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, who told Lou Dobbs that while there could have been “some” Trump supporters, it also “could be any other number of groups, anarchists or what have you.”

President-elect Joe Biden called Wednesday for the restoration of “just simple decency” as a mob incited by his predecessor stormed the U.S. Capitol and delayed Congress from certifying the results of November's election in which Biden won the White House. Biden had planned to deliver a speech focused on how to revive an economy and provide financial relief for small business owners reeling from the coronavirus pandemic from his native Delaware. But shortly before he was to begin speaking, demonstrators broke into the capital, reaching as far as the House floor. The building was locked down and police with guns drawn moved in

Now that the Georgia runoffs are over, let’s talk about Donald Trump. When we really needed all hands on deck in Georgia, Trump was a wrecking ball. It’s often hard to understand the impact an event will have in the future when you are going through it in real time or soon after. Today’s storming of the Capitol, including rioting, is one of those real-time events about which I’m comfortable reaching some conclusions.(Snip)The fact that we have seen violent conduct from the left in recent years also directed at key institutions does not excuse it.(Snip) And yes, it’s possible (but not clear) that some of the violent rioters were outside agitators. Politics is not fair, and it’s never been more unfair than how Trump supporters are treated by the media.
