Republican Senator Pat Toomey said Sunday morning Donald Trump will be remembered as a president of 'chaos and misery and erratic behavior' if he doesn't sign the $900 billion coronavirus relief bill by midnight. 'You don't always get what you want, even if you are the president of the United States,' the Pennsylvania senator said in reference to Trump's demand for $2,000 stimulus checks. Toomey said during his interview with 'Fox News Sunday' that he opposes the president's proposed increase of direct checks to $2,000 from the $600 price tag already included in the most recent bipartisan coronavirus relief legislation.

This past year, Pat Toomey put out a fund raising email on WINRED, the GOP website, exactly 91 days before he announced he wasn't running in 2022. Refunds were available only up to 90 days.

These guys are a disgrace. I think it is over one TRILLION DOLLARS they want to give to countries all over the world and our country is on life-support. These are the people who always discount America First and prefer to have America Last. Obviously, something is in it for them. It is not about Covid relief at all. They are disgrace. This is why they want Trump out; he knows how to read a profit and loss sheet.

I despise Toomey, never liked the man from the start. Toomey is a Rino idiot, elected by the establishment, not by any support from the people. Trump has 74 million supporters Toomey, you have nobody. Trump should not sign any of these bills which are nothing but a communist takeover of this country. Shut the government down. The government is not our friend.

Getting back on the subject, I love these people who will sign on to anything without regard to the big picture. Biden must be stopped or we will be back to what the left calls "normal", which is spend, spend, spend and appease, appease, appease consequences be damned!

As usual, this congressdope is painfully ignorant of the constitutional structure he works in. If you pass a bill, the President can veto it for any reason he likes, including no reason at all. At that point, it is *your* job, Tooms, to drum up enough support in the legislature to override that veto. And if you can't? That proves the veto was appropriate because there is significant disagreement in your own branch over whether the bill is good!
The thing is, the veto should be a common occurrence. The Executive branch is not a rubber stamp on whatever Congress churns out. The veto is not a tantrum (whining about a President threatening to veto an abomination of a bill, on the other hand, is); it's the constitutional check on irresponsible legislators like Toomey.

Toomey suffers from knowing he’s a Babbitty little nothingburger and will leave no legacy behind him. His viciousness toward President Trump is self-disclosing. More often than not, these beige little men are jealous of Trump’s achievements - and his gorgeous wife.

Ignore the canard. The NeverTrumpers will remember his first term that way, probably because they were too busy (trying every trick under the sun to remove him from office) to notice the good things he was actually doing. And they will remember him that way, regardless of how many bogus "relief" bills he signs off on.

Toomey is one of the worst senators I have ever, ever had to be a constituent. He rarely answers emails, and if he does, it take sometimes two months to get a response. His office is seldom staffed. I am so sorry I donated money to his campaigns in the past. He gives Never Trumpers a new name and is wallowing in the fact that his is going back to the private sector in 2022. I hope he gets his Karma due.

Good grief! Look at how many stories today with “republican somethings” saying Trump is everything but a white man (old expression, probably racist if so I apologize in advance) and this was a fair and secure election. I think they are getting really scared that Trump will be able to get the proof of the steal and present it. After all, they have never been able to get him in 4 1/2 plus years. KAG

In business we hear salutes for disruptors, people who shake things up and make us rethink the way we do business. So, when we get one in national politics, we resist and call them temperamental. If it's good for business, why isn't it good for our government?

President Trump will be remembered for having built the powerful economy prior to covid, and this is why we have not descended into total ruin.
He will be remembered, when the lies have been dispelled, as the one who steered the country through the pandemic, refusing to stir panic and despair (and fighting back against Dems who demand shut-downs).
He will be remembered for having the will to push for a vaccine/s to be produced in "warp speed" and it happened, because he knows how to manage bureaucracies, and the willingness to cut miles and miles of red tape.
He will be remembered for having the strength of will and a sturdy spine to endure through the vicious, endless attacks, false accusations, tormented by special counsels and investigations and a truly stupid impeachment circus.
People like Toomey will be remembered (if at all, by others than his family) as petty, foolish, mean-spirited, trembling and unstable and afraid to stand up for the people, as has President Trump.
