Like many of Europe's tired denizens, sick to death of their continent's humanist treasures, preferring brutalist modern art instead as proof they are all about 'progress,' so we have the 2020 Vatican nativity scene. (Snip for tweet) Gee, how 'with it." The angel has these weird leaden stone disks coming out of it, an odd thing for something supposed to be pure spirit and therefore swifter than the speed of light or at least fluffy feathers. The Virgin Mary has a primitive looking face of a young boy. Assorted Martian characters surround the creche and I can't tell what or where the baby Jesus is,

We believers, when quietly contemplating a Nativity scene, surely feel the presence of a Divine power, wrapped in the form of an innocent newborn with his loving parents. We are also reminded of the continuity of devotion and love he planted so many, many generations ago.
I feel nothing but sadness and revulsion looking at that cold, lifeless scene. It has no humanity, and only brings forth thoughts of sadness and irreverence.
God bless us, every one.

This is the best that the Roman Catholic Church in Rome is able to do to portray the holiest of nights when salvation was given to the world? The Babe is not put in the manger until Christmas Eve, so that doesn't disturb me. It is the lack of any humanity, love or awe that is disturbing. What are these people thinking? Are they thinking at all? My home parish does a better job. Heck, I could do a better job in my back yard. They should be ashamed.

If they didn't tell you that it was a nativity scene, you would be guessing all day. It looks more like an altar at which pope frank would be lighting incense and rattling bones.

Pope Francis is a Peronista. Also now a flat out Marxist and Globalist. In the 1950s most homes in the Latin world had a nativity crêche and not a Christmas tree.
This pantomime is an affront to Catholics because the Church always cared for Beauty in its worship, e.g. the Sixtine Chapel in which Michelangelo summarized the theology of the renaissance. Francisco now exposes the desolation of Vatican Council theology for all to contemplate.
The combination of Francisco/Biden/Ho will be a Gobalist dream.
Long live Benedict XVI and Archbishop Viganò. The latter sent a magnificent Video message right after Gen Flynn’s speech at the DC prayer rally in D.C. today.

It is laughable, but as the writer says we’re tired of our culture, tired of art, tired of culture.
What the little figures remind me of are the style of “friendly” little icons on all computer devices now. I remember Microsoft used to have a really friendly looking paper clip. It’s all so cutesy and friendly and nonthreatening- as you give it all your data in exchange for a selfy- no danger here. Nothing of significance. Nothing. Just push “accept.”

The Roman Catholic Church is a cesspool of corruption. I am saying this as a Catholic. I love her perennial teachings as well as the Holy Bible. But Bergoglio--alias Francis--is a colossal disaster as well as a socialist and an advocate of the New World Order. And many things around him stink to high Hell. It's no surprise the Vatican is celebrating such ugliness. After all, the pagan Pachamam statue was recently paraded around and worshipped at the Vatican. This stuff has tempted me to become Greek Orthodox. At least they still celebrate beauty as well as Truth.

If you thought the 'art' was bad, don't torture yourself by listening to the music which accompanies it. Spend a dollar on a pitchpipe, Pope. Yeeesh!

Just found another article on this. An explanation and some more photos. Apparently the tall figure is an astronaut. Read all about it:

Are the bolts of electricity really part of the scene, or are they photoshopped in for editorial effect? If its the former, is it saying the Holy Spirit is Doctor Frankenstein? I don't get this at all.
