Vice President Kamala Harris has signed a deal to sell her loft-style San Francisco condo for $799,000, about 63% more than what she paid for it, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Harris bought the two-level condo for $489,000 in 2004, when she became California’s first female district attorney in San Francisco’s history and the first Black woman and South Asian American woman in the state to hold the office.
The one-bedroom property is on the top floor of a boutique building in the South of Market district, a former industrial zone where warehouses have been converted into headquarters

Not even twice the value over 16 years?!
We bought in Utah in 2013.
Our twin sold for more than double the Autumn before Covid.

Why doesn't Forbes pay for an "Ancestery" dna test on Harris, so they can list all of her races? Why must they categorize races? It's beyond dumb. And obviously she is bad at choosing property that can grow in value, especially in SanFran, but then again, that city has gone in the toilet, literally.

Her appreciation on this sale is chump change as compared to the amount of dollars she has and will pocket as a result of being a Democrat politician. Barely worth mentioning.

That apartment must be a real dump. Only $799,000? In SF that’s a shoe closet.

Oh, you know this is a left wing lobbyist pushing this fraud. The same thing happened with Beijing Biden and his "duPont Mansion" that he bought for next to nothing as a newly minted Senator then he got sweet-heart loans from the banks he regulated as a Senator. He sold it at a massive profit and moved up again and again. "Middle Class Joe?" Really?

Sounds like she didn’t take very good care of the place. We built a modest house in 1995 for $125,000, made several improvements on it and sold it 9 years later for $430,000. In Virginia.

That's San Fran for ya. Real estate prices are just crazy high. People who work in the company I work for have to live two hours away to afford to live there. It's the same with New York City. People who work in New York live hours away even in as far as Wilmington Delaware. The difference is, the people who work in New York City can a train and be at work on time. The people who work in San Francisco but live two hours away have to drive the two hours to get to work.

Doubt she ever paid for that condo in the first place, even if it's in her name. Look elsewhere for the financing.

So what? This is the kind of low hanging fruit BS journalism that keeps you distracted from the bigger issues like Mitch McConnel, Niki Haley and the rest of the deceptions. And who is it from? Forbes. An establishment rag. This is nothing but a distraction to keep your rage focused away from the real enemy of MAGA and that the establishment Republican Party. Are you really going to do this to yourselves again?
Consuming outrage porn about every little thing the left is doing instead of starting a New Party and getting on with it, will find you in exactly the same place 4 years from now. Telling yourselves how your going to, “ primary the Rinos and reform the Republican Party” .
Some people never learn.
New Party Now!

I have no problems with her selling her condo. Anyone with a brain should be dumping SF and Cali in general and heading to other states. Just please leave your horrid voting practices at home. Stop bringing them to your new states.

I am no Kamala fan, but that doesn’t look like an astounding “profit” in today’s market. Houses and condos in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley (San Jose) have zoomed in the last number of years. When there is no more space on which to build, as in San Francisco, and the demand is high, the prices go up. Market value is not what the seller wants, but what a willing buyer will pay. We know of a $700,000 two bedroom home near Palo Alto that resold last year for $1.5 million. Location, location, location...

Forbes’s Brenda must be an intern. They should know that even her sale price is a bargain in San Francisco. Hardly something to cause shock and awe.

To top that, the crooked Biden family jointly owned a mansion on the southwest coast of Florida and sold it for a HUGE loss for six million dollars. They probably made that up in the next few years from the Ukraine and China, so no big deal.

CA should tax the 'stuff' out of her profit. Careful there Camala, Joe says if you earn over $400k (his salary) he is raising your taxes.
