The United States said Monday that the legislative elections held in Venezuela on Sunday in which President Nicolas Maduro's socialist political alliance is set to gain control of the National Assembly were a sham.
"The United States, along with numerous other democracies around the world, condemns this charade, which failed to meet any minimum standard of credibility," U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement.

The stringent coronavirus restrictions across New Mexico continue to take a toll on residents, particularly the elderly, as Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s (D) orders continue to create what has been dubbed “modern breadlines.”
“Suggested act of kindness- I received a heartbreaking report of an elderly man waiting in line to buy food. He waited so long, he had to publicly relieve himself. If you are able, consider allowing our senior citizens in front of you in line,” New Mexico State Rep. Rebecca Dow (R) said on Thursday. Her update prompted a response from former GOP Senate candidate Elisa Martinez, who has remained a sharp critic of the governor throughout the lockdowns.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) said he learned “humanity” from the deceased Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA), who pleaded guilty in 1969 after he left the scene of an accident that resulted in a woman drowning.
Cuomo received the Edward M. Kennedy Institute Aware for Inspired Leadership, he announced Wednesday: [Tweet]
I learned about humanity, leadership, and putting people first from the great Senator Ted Kennedy,” Cuomo wrote on Twitter.
In 1969, Kennedy was driving a car and Mary Jo Kopechne, a staffer for Robert F. Kennedy, was riding as his passenger.
Kennedy drove off a bridge near Chappaquiddick on Martha’s Vineyard. Kennedy swam to safety, leaving Kopechne to die.

An elections supervisor in Coffee County, Georgia, demonstrated in recent videos posted online how Dominion Voting Systems voting software allows votes to be changed through an “adjudication” process. The process allows the operator to add vote marks to a scanned ballot as well as invalidate vote marks already on the ballot.
Adjudication should only serve to resolve issues of voters marking ballots incorrectly, such as filling the bubbles in a way that doesn’t clearly show who he or she voted for. Yet it appears a substantial number of ballots went through that process, at least in some Georgia counties.(Snip) system can be set to allow adjudication of all scanned ballots, even

Here’s some good news. The first at-home test for the coronavirus that does not require a prescription has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). LapCorp’s Pixel COVID-19 Test Home Collection Kit is intended for people 18 years of age and older. The test kit allows the user to collect a nasal swab sample at home and send it to LabCorp for testing. The method of transmittal of the test’s result is determined on the urgency of the need for action or not. The customer will receive a phone call from a health care provider for a positive result or a result deemed invalid.

An ambulance team was allegedly ambushed and robbed at gunpoint Monday about 11 p.m. in Brooklyn, New York.
An ambulatory team consisting of “a 45-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman” arrived at an address given on a 911 call only to go to the 11th floor of the building and allegedly get robbed at gunpoint, ABC 7 reported.
The suspect(s) allegedly “took their supply bag” and sent them back to their ambulance. The bag was later recovered “with the radio and tablet missing.”
The ambulatory team was part of the FDNY and neither team member was injured, FOX 5 said.
It is not clear how many suspects were involved in the incident.

A message board entering the Erie County town of Waterford prompted a social-media stir this week by mocking Dr. Rachel Levine, Pennsylvania’s secretary of health. The sign along U.S. Highway 19 read “don’t let a man in a dress rule us Waterford!” on Wednesday. Dr. Levine, who has been the public face of Pennsylvania’s controversial COVID-related lockdowns, was born Richard Levine and fathered two children, but transitioned to female in 2011. Liberals in Pennsylvania had demanded the removal of the sign as transphobic, especially after a video of the sign began being shared on social media.

Hunter Biden, son of presumptive President-elect Joseph R. Biden, capitalized on a steady influx of suspicious multimillion dollar foreign bank transfers before the Justice Department opened a criminal investigation in 2018 into whether he dodged federal taxes. Senate Republicans laid out his network of shady beneficiaries, from oligarchs in Moscow and Ukraine to a tycoon linked to the Chinese Communist Party in Beijing, between 2014 and 2017. Their Sept. 18 report was based on suspicious activity reports that are filed with the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network by lending institutions who suspect money laundering and/or tax evasion.

Axios revealed this week that more than six years ago Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., began a relationship with a woman suspected of being a Chinese espionage operative. He was alerted by federal investigators in 2015 and given a "defense briefing," which resulted in him breaking off ties to the suspect.

For months, former Vice President Joe Biden has vehemently denied that any evidence exists that his son, Hunter, was involved in criminal activity or wrongdoing. These denials now look like dishonesty after the Biden-Harris transition team released a statement Wednesday acknowledging that Hunter is indeed under investigation by the Department of Justice for potential tax crimes.
“I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Delaware advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs,” Hunter wrote in the statement. Federal authorities are reportedly conducting a criminal investigation into a hospital business that has ties to President-elect Joe Biden's younger brother.
According to a report by Politico, the FBI has asked questions about James Biden's role in a healthcare business that was raided earlier this year by federal authorities, though details on the investigation remain unclear.
The FBI seized boxes of documents from Americore Health hospital in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, but there was no indication the raid was due to any actions related to James Biden, who hasn't been accused of criminal wrongdoing. Americore's owner has battled its own legal problems and allegations of mismanagement.

For more than a decade now, major research institutions like Harvard University and others have published surveys showing large numbers of non-citizen immigrants in America claim to have registered and voted in U.S. elections despite a legal prohibition. Mayor Jacob Frey, who had threatened to veto the entire budget if the council went ahead with a plan to cap police staffing, said the vote was a defining moment for the city which was the first to be hit by anti-police protests following the death of Floyd. The city has been plagued by soaring violent crime since then—with homicide, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, theft and arson all up on last year's figures.

Imagine for a moment that Donald Trump had won the US election last month?I don't mean won it in the increasingly absurd way HE thinks he won it – i.e. that Joe Biden's entirely legitimate victory was invalid because uncorroborated 'mass voter fraud' made it a 'rigged' and 'stolen' election.Only a bonkers conspiracy theorist actually thinks that, someone like the President himself whose pathetic elongated temper tantrum is turning into the most unedifying episode of The Biggest Loser ever aired. No, I mean imagine if Trump had actually won fair and square and was now preparing to be inaugurated for his second term of office?

A grand jury investigation into Hunter Biden's taxes is the "least damaging" allegation against President-elect Joe Biden's son, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said Thursday, pointing out a "far-reaching" probe into Biden's son's foreign business dealings, including with China. "The Biden campaign released details of a tax fraud investigation in Wilmington. I think that was just to show maybe the least damaging part of the investigation. There are allegations of securities fraud, money laundering related to Hunter Biden's Chinese businesses, a crooked hospital deal with Jim Biden, Joe Biden's brother out in western Pennsylvania. These investigations span multiple jurisdictions," Cotton said

You may have noticed a shift yesterday after news that Hunter Biden was under federal investigation broke. Suddenly, as if the memo had gone out, the media were interested. Multiple mainstream media outlets, including CNN and Politico, put out reports actually saying that Hunter Biden’s issues were worse than his father’s transition team statement let on. That may be all well and good, but no one should forget how these “journalistic” outfits treated the very same story when it could have cost Joe Biden the election. We know about the censorship of the New York Post, but it wasn’t just that. News outlets also actively tried to discredit

The story of the Chinese Mata Hari who embedded herself in Rep. Eric Swalwell’s world — emphasis on bed — is impacting, as Drudge used to put it. The New York Post reports, for example: “Swalwell mum on sex with China spy, but family remains Facebook friends with honeytrap.”
Swalwell was of course a prime retailer of the Russia hoax and the impeachment farce over the past four years. The regnant cliché about Democrats and projection applies in spades to this vile lout. Indeed, Swalwell is proof positive of its veracity.
Swalwell appeared yesterday with his buddy Jim Sciutto at CNN to unleash these howlers

Initial jobless claims soared to 853,000 last week, as the surge in coronavirus cases pushed more businesses to implement stricter measures on social distancing, forcing more people out of their job.
More than 3,000 Covid-related deaths were recorded across the country Wednesday, according to an NBC News tally.
Economists had predicted the latest weekly jobless claims total would be around 730,000, higher than the prior week's newly revised tally of 716,000, but still more than four times the pre-pandemic average of 200,000.

We think of Joe Biden as a Democrat wretch whose main focus is on thwarting President Trump.
But have you gotten a load of the war he's having with the far left of his party? Those guys seems to be circling in for some kind of kill.
Three things leap out offhand.
First, socialist Bernie Sanders let the cat out of the bag about why there's been no stimulus checks for ordinary Americans bearing the burden of the COVID shutdowns, which is extremely bad public relations for Joe Biden's Democrats.
According to the New York Post: Sen. Bernie Sanders admitted that fellow Democrats, led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, were responsible for delaying

Evidence released by the Senate this month reveals that longtime Hillary Clinton associate Cody Shearer received anti-Trump dirt in 2016 from a Russian intelligence source and got it into the hands of the FBI through the ex-British spy Christopher Steele. Shearer’s claim that his information came from a Russian FSB source, experts say, should have alerted senior US officials that the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign’s ties Russia was compromised by its sources, Clinton surrogates and alleged Russian spies.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on Wednesday that income tax increases in the state were inevitable even if the government did dole out more coronavirus-related aid.
“You probably will see tax increases in any event,” Cuomo said during his press conference.
Cuomo had previously indicated tax hikes on the wealthy were on the table if the government failed to approve more funding for state and local governments.
The three-term Democratic governor said on Wednesday that the consequences would be “devastating” if Congress does not agree to provide aid, involving several thousand layoffs, increased fares and tolls and government borrowing.

“People who cannot be reasoned with can only be fought.” It’s an age-old truth, one good people ignore at their own peril. It too often is ignored, though, since good people are mostly reasonable and, in accordance with man’s nature, engage in projection. They thus assume that others are as reasonable as they are.
It’s reasonable to assume that mentioning right now the futility of reasoning with the Left is motivated by the election. It’s also, in my case, untrue. I’ve for decades recognized that devout leftists, emotion-driven and vice-ridden, operate by occultist Aleister Crowley’s “principle”

On Wednesday, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (D-Tx), speaking in the House of Representatives, unloaded on Nancy Pelosi, whom he “unequivocally condemn[ed] in the strongest possible terms.” It’s a speech all Americans should hear because it so perfectly captures both Pelosi’s personal corruption and the horrors that the Democrats’ scientifically unsupported lockdowns have unleashed on Americans. If you want to see how a U.S. Supreme Court, packed to 13 or 15 with Joe Biden appointees, would act, then look at the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, which is dominated by five elected Democrats. (snip) In September 2020, the Court rewrote Pennsylvania election law to allow ballots received three days after Election Day, even without a postmark, to be counted. Further, it kicked off the ballot the Green Party candidate, who normally takes away votes from the Democratic candidate. The Court rewrote the clear language of the statute

Texas claims that the presidential elections as held (and as directed by government officials outside the legislature) in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, and Michigan all flagrantly violated their own election laws by materially weakening or doing away with security measures. Further, according to the U.S. Constitution, the legislature (representing the citizens) of each state has absolute authority and responsibility for how presidential electors are chosen; the will of legislature being expressed through state law.
Texas claims that the violations of election law in these states created an environment where ballot fraud was enabled and likely to occur.

The antifa occupiers at the autonomous zone that sprung up in Portland this week appear to be preparing for a siege. As PJ Media’s Victoria Taft reported, antifa squatters took over a house in Portland and when the government rightly evicted them, they set up an autonomous zone. On Wednesday, Portland’s police chief reported that antifa has fortified barricades, stockpiled weapons, set up armed guards, and threatened to kill police officers. Both the police chief and the mayor have urged the rebels to lay down their arms, but it appears they are refusing to do so.

The revelation Wednesday that Hunter Biden is under investigation for tax violations relating to his foreign business affairs confirms that the media/Big Tech censorship of stories during the election about his laptop and emails was entirely without merit. When the New York Post reported on October 14 that Hunter Biden had introduced an official from the corrupt Ukrainian energy company Burisma to then-Vice President Joe Biden — contrary to the latter’s denials that he had ever spoken to his family about their businesses — Facebook announced that it would be suppressing the story, and Twitter prevented people from sharing it.

The current wave of cultural Marxism and postmodernism (amounting virtually to the same thing) that is prominent at our universities now threatens to bleed full-bore into our mainstream culture. This has caused more than one observer to liken the current American scene to something akin to George Orwell’s dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. Published in 1947, the book introduced several new concepts into the English language, the most recognizable being the reference to “Big Brother.” Without attempting to summarize a finely filigreed novel, one cannot help but point out some features which possess a certain resonance in the current American scene.

James Biden, brother and alleged business partner of Democrat presidential nominee former Vice President Joe Biden, is under federal investigation, according to a report by Politico published late Wednesday night.
The investigation into Joe Biden’s brother was included in an article about the extent of the federal investigation into Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden. The Politico report claims Joe Biden does not appear to be under investigation.
Excerpt:
The federal investigation into President-elect Joe Biden’s son Hunter has been more extensive than a statement from Hunter Biden indicates, according to a person with firsthand knowledge of the investigation.

“It was all suspicious.”
Elizabeth Forlini was a Republican Poll Challenger in Detroit the day after election day. She helped process the military ballots. She was present when the City of Detroit decided to cover the windows of the TCF Center in order to prevent the Republicans from seeing inside. When she was finally let inside, five hours after arriving, she saw that there was a huge partisan imbalance.
She was made to wait, but she was going to make sure she fought for the integrity of Detroit elections.

Of all the books I have written—and there have been many—Radical Son is the one that has touched the most people, and touched them the most deeply. I think the reason for this is that it describes a personal odyssey through the political labyrinths of our times. Its narrative addresses the psychological and religious dimensions of what it means to be a radical and to harbor utopian dreams of re-creating the world and making it just. Secular radicals have variously called these dreams of a heaven on earth, “socialism,” “communism,” or “social justice.” These fantasies are consolations for the flawed world in which we actually find ourselves, and cannot escape.
