A clever bar owner in New York City is borrowing a tactic from left-wing anarchists in an ongoing spat with the government over coronavirus lockdown restrictions. The pub, located in Staten Island, declared itself an "autonomous zone" as a new ban on indoor dining at bars and restaurants took effect on Wednesday.
The New York Post reported on Saturday that a sign outside Mac's Public House in Grant City read, "!ATTENTION! We hereby declare this establishment an !!!AUTONOMOUS ZONE!!!"
"We refuse to abide by any rules and regulations put forth by the Mayor of NYC and Governor of NY State," the message continued.

Since Election Day three weeks ago, we have heard from some on the Left, including the Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden, resounding calls for “unity.”
Biden offered a victory speech a few days after Election Day, where he extended an olive branch to supporters of President Trump, saying "I understand the disappointment tonight. But now let's give each other a chance. It's time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature. And to make progress, we have to stop treating our opponents as our enemies. They are not our enemies. They're Americans."
Throughout the campaign, however, Biden did not act in this cordial manner,

The liberal media seems to prove that journalism may indeed be dead with the latest “breaking news” report about Democrat Joe Biden. After four years of presenting leaked lies from unnamed sources as hit pieces on President Donald Trump, the mainstream media now seems to be shifting its tone in readiness for a journalistic vacation under a potential Biden administration. Hence, CBS Sunday Morning dropped a new kind of bombshell as the Bidens “exclusively” shared news about their pets. Not only are Biden and his wife Jill planning to bring their two German shepherds to the White House, if the former vice president is actually certified

Barack Obama’s new memoir, A Promised Land, bills itself as “a riveting, deeply personal account of history in the making—from the president who inspired us to believe in the power of democracy.” (Snip)
So okay, now that Barack Obama is firmly and forever instantiated among the one percent, we might ask: What does A Promised Land have to say about, for instance, income inequality and high-end financialism? This is a particularly pertinent question because much of Obama’s presidency was defined by his relationship with Wall Street, including the bailouts, the cost of which a 2010 estimate put at $14.4 trillion.

President Trump’s disastrous mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic probably cost him re-election. Yet it seems mind-boggling that he still won more votes than any incumbent president in American history despite his dereliction of responsibility at a time of a once-in-a-century health crisis and economic devastation.
Why are President-elect Joe Biden’s margins so thin in the states that clinched his victory? And why did the president’s down-ticket enablers flourish in the turbulent, plague-torn conditions they helped bring about?
Democrats, struggling to make sense of it all, are locked in yet another round of mutual recrimination: They were either too progressive for swing voters — too socialist or aggressive with ambitious policies

I was eleven years old in November 1960 when my father and I watched Richard Nixon concede the presidential election to John F. Kennedy. My father, a former FBI agent, shook his head. “Another victory for Mayor Daley of Chicago,” he said.
“What does that mean?” I asked.
“It means Mayor Daley stole the election,” he answered.
“Then why doesn’t Nixon do something about it?” I asked indignantly.
“Because it would tear the country apart, and no one wants that.”
“Why not?”
“It doesn’t work that way,” he replied. “Nixon is being a gentleman.”

On Friday, news broke that President Trump removed several members of the Defense Department’s civilian Defense Policy Board. This follows hard on the heels of his decision to fire Defense Secretary Mark Esper. The question is why now? I’ve heard some interesting, informal theories suggesting that this has to do with those Scytl machines in Germany.
On November 9, President Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper. In some ways, as Breitbart notes, it was a “long-anticipated move”:
The relationship between Trump and Esper soured quickly after Esper preempted the president by declaring he did not support using active-duty forces to restore peace during a summer of violent riots.
