“For 15 years of my life at the top of the Soviet bloc intelligence community, I was involved in a world-wide disinformation effort aimed at diverting attention away from the KGB’s involvement with Lee Harvey Oswald. The Kennedy assassination conspiracy was born—and it never died.” (Ion Pacepa, the highest ranking intelligence official ever to defect from the Soviet bloc.)
“Of all the people I interviewed in New Orleans regarding the Kennedy assassination, Carlos Bringuier was the one I trusted most. I could see in his eyes he was always telling me the complete truth.” (Oriana Fallaci, L, Europeo, 1969.)

JOKES route was changed, that morning, from its original path, to bring it past the Book Repository. Lee Harvey Oswald would not have had the opportunity, that day to shoot anyone, otherwise. So someone, inside the intelligence community had to know where Oswald was, and how to give him the opportunity.
And even if Oswald was the assassin, his weapon of choice was poorly chosen for the deed at the range he would have fired from.
And the very popular JFK had made it quite evident that he was NOT going to tolerate LBJ as his vice president in his second term. And JFK was ambivalent about increased involvement in Vietnam. I have this from first hand source.
How easy would it have been for LBJ and his Military/Industrial Complex friends to change the route past an obvious patsy, while the real assassins lay in wait? Not hard at all. Not at all.

There isn’t any way that Kennedy was shot from behind and that a pristine bullet travelled at 2,000 feet per second before hitting bone and tissue and it didn’t even have a dent on it! The whole thing is a coverup by the CIA and FBI, and we will never be told the truth! But we know it anyway!

In January, 1962, I was in charge of a Physical Examination department at Donaldson, AFB, S.C., and we were faced with the task, top secret, of processing volunteers for Viet Nam. It is revisionist history to say JFK was not 'all in' in Viet Nam. He sent 25,000 troops there. He was all in.
LBJ got snookered by his Generals and Defense Secretary Robert MacNamara, who was inept. MacNamara's only real achievement at DOD was standardizing shoe color for the branches of the military.

Just what we need. Another story about a 57 year old crime. The case was solved decades ago. Without any scientific evidence I knew Oswald was guilty when I heard him interviewed for the first time. He was having the time of his life. He was a nobody who became a somebody. This article provided some amusement. It stated that Oswald introduced himself as "Lee Harvey Oswald." Who uses 3 names?

Thank you very much, # 5, for cutting through all the BS. The staying power of these conspiracy theories is disconcerting.

You're misinformed, # 2. The "pristine" bullet was not pristine, as the media at the time described it. It was simply still intact, but scarred. And it was the first round, which only wounded JFK (passing through soft tissue) and subsequently struck Gov. Connally. The fatal head shot fragmented, and that was reported in the autopsy at the time. No coverup, no grand conspiracy.

I have believed in this so-called “conspiracy theory” from the very beginning, which was in 1963. I have read multitudes of books, research and articles over the years and continue to do so. I tend to listen to those who actually were there, before, during or immediately after, as opposed to “the experts” who have come along nearly 60 years later to clarify all the evidence for us, and infer what rubes we all are for believing that bullets can’t defy the laws of physics. Anyone who thinks that a conspiracy of this nature couldn’t possibly have happened, need only look at what is happening in the country today with the presidential election and Covid-19. Conspiracies are not anomalies in the US government, they are SOP, and have been for decades. However shrewd the left may be, they always have unaccounted for details. In this case, it was the Zapruder film, which they have spent decades telling you that what you clearly see in the film, you actually don’t see. Let’s hope there is a Zapruder film discovered in this election.

Speaking of LBJ...
From a War Story: A Year in the 'Nam
A year in Vietnam is what a bunch of swingin' d*cks got for their eighteenth birthdays. Bent on keeping Luke-the-G**k out of Saigon, LBJ fed hundreds of thousands of American kids into the conflict he'd cooked up for his pals in Deep-State DC and the Military-Industrial Complex. Lousy leadership produces predictable results, and although Vietnam was a ghastly mistake, the pain and suffering were real. Going in, they'd known their year in the 'Nam was a soul-shattering disaster waiting to happen – a 365-and-a-wake-up of killing or being killed (combat means giving up all hope). Returning stateside trying to get on with their lives, survivors kept deep attachments to their buddies, the smells, intensity, the adrenalin rush of combat, and the overwhelming presence of the 'Nam — so finished, yet so undone after all these years many are still fighting the psychic demons deep within. Even so, the war in Vietnam also came with such ironic juxtapositions as handing everyone a paid week off from the mayhem to visit a tropical paradise somewhere and get laid. --Veterans for Trump 2020

The Zapruder film shows the president being shot twice. Entrance and exit wounds were clearly established at the time. Not much else to it.

Lee Oswald killed John Kennedy. He acted alone and did it to place himself in the history books. His wife had ridiculed him earlier in the day and he was a true societal misfit. No conspiracy plan domestic or international would have assigned that important task to a Lee Oswald.

This happened almost sixty years ago. Everyone involved is either dead or close to it. Even if Oswald wasn't the only shooter. Even if the route was changed to place Kennedy in other shooters sights, and even if Lyndon Johnson and the FBI and CIA were involved, or even if the REAL truth was revealed, it's too late to do anything about it and besides, would anyone believe it. Let it go.

Yep, from the front, #11. This was in the original medical report, and can clearly be seen in the film. In addition, multiple eye witnesses confirmed this as well, despite heavy duty pressure to change their stories. Moreover, all of this evidence was reviewed in 1975 by a senate panel and was ruled as a probable conspiracy. It was never pursued beyond that. Your flippant comment is predictable, but not surprising, nor is it evidence of nothing more to it.

#2, I have owned and fired a number of Carcano rifles and carbines, and have recovered bullets from that rifle from many media.
The simple fact is that you are wrong. The "magic bullet" was verified several times in actual testing against ballistic media with embedded bones by the investigators and later by experts hired by CBS new, and the results on penetratoin and bullet condition were very consistent.
Whatever might be wrong with the current theory, I can absolutely assure you that it was Lee Harvey Oswald, alone, from the School Book Depository, with a 6.5 mm Carcano rifle as the ONLY shooter. There are many claims that it was "impossible" to fire the shots that quickly with that bolt action rifle....in reality, I and my brother have beaten Oswald's time many times, it is easily done by any skilled rifleman.
The shots were VERY short for a rifle, about 60 yds, and Kennedy was moving slowly and almost directly away, would have not been significantly moving in the sights.
Sorry, the conspiracy theories about the mechanics of the shooting are pure BS. As to Oswald's motivation and who may have influenced him....I have little opinion, other than to note that in those days it was nearly impossible to get or keep a job with a dishonorable discharge and Oswald and his wife and infant were nearly destitute in times with little welfare. Oswald had repeately written to the Sec of Navy, John Connally, in the years prior, begging for an upgrade of his discharge to "general". Perhaps that was a motive and he was shooting at, then governor, Connolly. I don't know.
But the shooting and ballistics absolutely are workable, even easy to a USMC trained rifleman.

Sorry # 14, but you're wrong. And the eyewitnesses are not reliable - shocked, perhaps terrified, and knowing nothing of ballistics or neurology.
And if the shots did come from the front - where is the shooter on any of the films? Why did Dallas police have no reason to pursue any particular suspect other than Oswald? And whose rifle was found on the 6th floor of the depository?
Go to the Warren Commission report and review the testimony of one M.L. Baker, a motorcycle cop who was following behind the president's car. It should settle your doubts..

Hogwash, #14. Three shots fired from the rear. One missed the car entirely, two hit....one through Kennedy's neck/upper back area, then through Connolly's chest, nicking a rib slightly, and then into his right wrist, nicking a couple of small bones and then into the meaty portion of his upper thigh....where it penetrated about 1 1/2" into the muscle.
One bullet hit Kennedy in the skull from the rear, and blew out a large chunk of the right side/front as it exited. That bullet fragmented on the skull at entry. Once the copper alloy (harder stronger) jacket of a jacketed bullet is ruptured, the soft lead inside it fragments. If the bullet is decelerated by only hitting soft tissue or just nicking small, soft bones like ribs and wrist bones, there is little damage to the bullet jacket, and the bullet decelerates intact. The "magic bullet" had some dents, scratches and the base was flattened and a bit of the interior lead was extruded due to the flattening. It had clear rifling marks, too.
That particular cartridge, the 6.5 Carcano, is noteworthy as one of only two or three military cartridges which used exceptionally long bullets which give unusually deep penetration. Several African hunting experts used 6.5mm or 7 mm full metal jacketed round nosed bullets like these for killing elephants. This was not because they were particularly powerful, but because they gave exceptionally deep and straight penetration, and these experts used brain shots for instant kills. Look up D.W.M Bell one of the most proficient elephant ivory hunters ever.
The rifle was capable of keeping three shots in a group the size of a nickel with that batch of ammunition used in actual testing at the distance the shots took place, a comparatively short range for rifles of 60 yards.
Oswald's remaining ammunition supply showed much exterior scratching which indicated that he had cycled the ammunition from the magazine to the chamber in practice many times to become smooth and familiar with operating the bolt action in a hurry.
I have owned a hardback copy of the Warren Commission Report since th middle 1960s and read and studied it in detail Many have informed me about how "that Report isn't worth anything". I have asked each of them whether they have ever read the report.....so far I am batting 100%....nobody has ever read the report. Read it and judge it. IMO, as an engineer and experience ammunition reloader and experienced amateur balistician, it was thoroughly done, in great detail and lots of photos to validate it all.
Most conspiracy theory folks have never gone to primary sources or tested the rifle and ammunition personally. I have. I don't really know what motivated Oswald....revenge for not getting relieve on his dishonorable discharge from Connally? Anger over Cuba at Kennedy? He was seen and photographed handing out "Fair Play for Cuba" fliers. I don't really know his motivation. But I am certain that he did it, and alone with that rifle. Some wonder why he chose a military surplus Italian carbine. It was CHEAP. IIRC, we purchased several of them through the mail in the mid 60s for $10 plus a couple bucks shipping.
Oswald was VERY, VERY poor. It was all he could afford, and good enough.
