Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell reiterated on Wednesday that the economic recovery is dependant on how the country handles the coronavirus pandemic.
"As we have emphasized throughout the pandemic, the outlook for the economy is extraordinarily uncertain, and will depend in large part on the success of efforts to keep the virus in check," Powell said. (Snip) Powell noted that all Americans can play a role in the nation's response to the pandemic by wearing masks and following social distancing guidelines set by public health officials in order to ensure the economy can fully recover.

Yet he is not wearing a mask while giving these comments. I guess masks are only for 'the little people'.

And walking backwards whilst quacking like a duck will speed the recovery also...

Total bs! Most of my family have said wearing masks have kept them from spending money. Unless we really need something we will not enter a store.

Perhaps we should wear two masks like Biden to speed the recovery. Or at least get the governors of the blue states to stop stuffing their ballot boxes for Biden and allow their restaurants, bars, retailers and travel industries to resume normal operations,
If fraudulently elected Biden reimposes all of the regulations reduced/eliminated by Trump, raises taxes and creates economic uncertainty by threatening our oil and gas industries, masks will be a joke.

Now that the Fed chair has become an epidemiologist, I guess we'll now have to go to our doctors for economic projections.

You can always tell the good, common sense leaders from the wrong-headed politicians by knowing where they stand on pushing masks. Social distancing obviously helps but a mask is for dust and pollen at best.

Deaths are way down and have been for a while so the MSM starts reporting on cases instead of deaths.
Now that Biden is the President they will switch back to deaths which are still way down.
They will pronounce Biden as the savior and covid is cured.

Powell, really now? So now you are a virology expert? That useless mask takes care of it? You are quite the simpleton, aren't you?

My bs meter just broke...
Mask wearing is a deterrent to a strong economy. People don't go out when they don't feel safe. and masks say 'its not safe'. If masks were so safe, why all the empty arenas, stadiums, parks, and beaches?
The truth is our government does not want a strong economy. A strong economy means more personal wealth. A strong economy means people are free from government control, and they don't want that. People wanting freedom voted for people like Trump, and our government won't ever let that happen again.

Gee, we've all been wearing masks since Spring. Helluva lot of good it's doing, ain't it. But it's the only idea the morons in charge seem to have, so they're sticking with it. They're beyond stuck on stupid.

Sounds like someone is auditioning to ensure a role in a Biden administration. The turncoats are showing themselves fast and furious now that it looks like Trump might possibly lose the election.
