The archbishop of Portland, Oregon, performed the rite of exorcism last week over the city that has been roiled with continuous unrest since the death of George Floyd in May.
Archbishop Alexander Sample, who has served as the archbishop of Portland since 2013, held a Eucharistic procession through the city last weekend and also prayed over it the “Exorcism Against Satan and the Fallen Angels” from the Roman Ritual, according to the Catholic News Agency.
“I wasn’t trying to suggest that I think the city of Portland is possessed,” Sample later explained, according to local CBS affiliate KOIN.

Was there a sudden surge in spontaneous combustion of liberals in the city?

“Journalist Andy Ngo, who has covered the Portland riots extensively for The Post Millennial, disseminated the exorcism story on Friday, adding, ‘I’m not religious but many of the people I’ve seen engaging in violence in Portland can only be described as wicked[.]’”

Sounds like Washington, DC could use an exorcism too. Lots of wicked people there.

Archbishop Alexander Sample claimed, “I wasn’t trying to suggest that I think the city of Portland is POSSESSED.”
BUT
"Exorcism is the act of driving out, or warding off, demons, or evil spirits, from persons, places, or things, which are, or are believed to be, POSSESSED or infested by them, or are liable to become victims or instruments of their malice."

The wickedness in Portland is vandalism.
The Archbishop is fine of course, but the National Guard could solve the problem in minutes (except they have not been invited),

Our entire country needs a spiritual revival!
We aren’t just battling stupid and uninformed people. There is an unseen war between good & evil in America.
Pray, pray some more, pray without ceasing!

A lot of freaking good that will do. Catholics (all Christians) are ridiculed enough without this looney bin prospect. This is a civil policing problem.

So it went like this. The archie dressed up in his fanciest robes and told the mayor and city council repeat after me.
MEA CULPA, MEA CULPA, MEA MAXIMA CULPA.
Google it f you must.

I thought it was an enema that the city needed.

The Archbishop cannot succeed in removing Satan! His church and leader (the Pope) are his agents! Any religious leader claiming to represent Christianity and at the same time promotes the Gay agenda is no follower of Jesus Christ! No...don’t blame Paul! All of Scripture was written by The Holy Spirit (God) Himself!

I think a lot of the problems in Portland and other large cities have a demonic part to them.

Mock all you want, but exorcism has been used in the Catholic Church for centuries. Just because we supposedly live in the Age of Reason, there are some things in the world that cannot be explained away by secular arguments. I will admit that I have actually prayed for someone to step up to the plate and do an exorcism on a global scale, as I haven't seen too much success these days with the governmental, scientific, educational, or atheist/agnostic approach. And yes, I am perfectly sane. And, serious.

I hope had the power setting turned up to 12 or so on that one. LOTS of evil demons in that city, no doubt about it.

Just because something looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, doesn't necessarily mean it is a duck. Maybe it's a donkey.

I could recommend some good instruments to be used for the rite of Exorcism that are made by Colt, Smith & Wesson or Kalashnikov.
