2020 Rolls-Royce Cullinan: What do you picture when you think of a Rolls-Royce? No doubt, you're thinking of a stately grand tourer cruising around town transporting the elite from their suburban mansions to their downtown penthouses for the weekend. Well, that's not necessarily inaccurate, but the arrival of the 2020 Rolls-Royce Cullinan is altering that image forever. At least, it's enriching it with new perspectives. Enter: The Cullinan
It's not an overstatement to say that the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is changing the way we see this iconic British luxury brand. One of the best ways to shatter those old illusions is to see the footage of the Cullinan surfing the sand dunes

The base price is a mere $330,000.00. It should do well in the UAE... but would you really take it off road in the the desert?

My ad blocker won’t let me read the article. If it’s not mentioned, “Cullinan” refers to the largest diamond ever found - over 3,000 carats. It was cut into numerous pieces and most of it is in the Crown Jewels of the UK or in the possession of Queen Elizabeth.

It's boxy, it's ugly, it's dash looks like a wooden zipper. Any SUV that makes a Subaru look sleek and stylish needs some work. Maybe they should stick to pompous .01% mobiles. "To the Polo Arena, Jeeves".

Is it mob proof?

Dump the goofy square radiator, Rolls. It's a dumb signature.

I don't see a monitor for nav/comm etc. And yes, they blew the dashboard.

The Range Rover looks a lot better, if you are going for posh British. Same HP range --525.
I'm with the poster above who asked if this was "mob proof".
If it came with bullet resistant doors, glass, and tire, with a shield for the radiator, I might think about it, if I had to live in a Democrat s-hole of a city or was a Democrat over-lord or Party Boss. Such animals are more equal than other animals and deserve such finery.
But I'd probably drive (or, come on, have driven) an up-armored Suburban or Expedition. Same protection and lower key -- which is its own protection from the Democrat mobs.
I'm sure Nancy Pelosi has one.

Love how the article shows photos of it cornering in the dirt -- without a trace even of dust on the body or glass. Pampered people who want the adventure without the mess may buy this and be horribly disappointed by reality after their first off-road jaunt.

It looks like a rolling coffin; especially with those ''suicide doors'' from the 1950's. Them as has, gets!

RE #2, et al: https://outline.com/v6ErSv for those of us with ad blockers.
IMHO, it is an ultra-expensive "McSUV," with only the Rolls Royce label distinguishing it from the pack.

I saw one of these yesterday on my drive to work. Quite ugly, though I'm sure it rides like a dream.

"See the USA in your Chevrolet"? I think Rolls-Royce has an effective alternative.

The original Rolls Royce automobiles, built in 1907, are still running, nearly perfect artifacts of automotive art. Priceless cars. A local dealer who sells new and used Rollses once tried to sell one to a friend, and I got to ride along. That car was unbelievable, almost as comfortable as my easy chair, only my Klausner recliner doesn't have 550+ bhp. If I had a third of a million to spend on a car, I'd buy one-third of a McLaren Senna and hope to get two other buyers to chip in.

Only a [rich] fool would buy the Rolls-Royce SUV today, when the Ferrari SUV will soon be available!
(That's sarcasm! I think it's sad that makers of ultimate-luxury and ultimate-performance vehicles feel it's their duty to release a sport-utility model! The Cadillac Escalade was bad enough! But I s'pose there must be a market. Which brings us full-circle... only a [rich] fool...)

A new test for having more money than brains or taste. The other side of ridiculous from the Porsche SUV.

I heard that for the American market, Rolls is going to have the Nancy Pelosi model, which has a freezer with room for up to 20 flavors of ice cream.
