Artists gathered to paint a Black Lives Matter mural along Woodland Street in East Nashville on Saturday. Monday morning, at least one set of tire tracks could be seen running the length of the bottom half of the mural. The 200-foot mural sits between Interstate Drive and 1st Ave. on Woodland Street, near Nissan Stadium and the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center. Organizers said they purposefully chose that spot because it is highly visible to Titans fans on game days, and also may offer a glimpse of hope for youth on their way to the detention center. The lettering also bore purpose,

Headline incorrect. Should have read, "Marxist Black Lives Matter mural defaces East Nashville"

Now they are complaining about an artist adding finishing touches...what's the message? Freedom of expression being squelched!

Gee, it's a shame a truck drove across your pretty propaganda piece painted in the middle of a street. Bummer. Next time, block that racist traffic by building a wall -- and then paint your mural there, where a mural actually belongs.

Mural is from the latin word "murus" = "wall". This stuff on the road ain't that.

I learned in Boy Scouts that you should never place your flag in such a way that it could be stepped on or defaced. I think the same lesson applies here.

Among the other bad things that the left has done, they have also just completely perverted the language. That's not a mural.
They painted letters on the street.
I suppose that now the guy who paints "Slow Down, School Zone" and "Railroad Crossing" etc on the city streets can now change his resume to "Muralist".

I'm slightly surprised that nobody has rigged up a paint spray system on a trailer and driven over this leaving a 8 ft wide black or red or whatever stripe behind it. Drive over it at 2 AM, not likely to be caught.

Faux religious emotional self flagulation mixed with social media driven look at me-ish on the part of the Millennial well heeled whites whose East Nashville getrifying has been reviled by the very genuine Marxists painting this crap. These stupid snowflakes mindlessly feel guilty for well, everything.
Btw, it cost the city approx $21k in police time and resources for this privately funded piece of "art." It is painted ON a public street near Titans stadium and the juvenile jail.
But more importantly is it's on a road... where cars and trucks drive... and leak oil/fluids and make tire tracks. Duh!!!

So it's painted on a street, but people drove over it?
I see nothing wrong here.

Sure hope that nasty paint didn’t deface that driver’s car!
Our kommie-con man mayor here in Musical City is a little tin-pot dim dictator.

It’s not a mural it’s graffiti. In celebration of painting the graffiti they can hold an American flag burning rally and build a bonfire with copies of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, The National Anthem, MAGA hats and photos of Trump.

I saw a video yesterday of a bunch of black men wearing Black Lives MAGA tee shirts. Someone should sneak in there and change the street painting to reflect those tee shirts.

That takes some serious horsepower to keep BOTH tires spinning for that long. Takes a locking rear differential, too. Impressive.
Well done!

If an Amish horse & buggy drove over it they would leave behind something more than tracks.

I'm glad to see the right to free speech and expression extends beyond the Marxist BLM organization in Nashville. Hats off to whoever added to the defaced public property.

I'm sure that there are cameras watching this site.
However, extreme creativity can have a purpose.
This looks like the perfect place to have a Trump road rally.
Get 50+ cars all decorated to drive on a specific route that includes this 'mural.' (If it lasts 1/2 hour, several times a day at random times(to the public), the public will be befuddled.
(Would anyone put asphalt paint on their tires?)

Darn #9, you stole my idea!! I was thinking a late night drive by would work nicely. A little mud on the plates would also help.

The Marxists say, with no trace of irony, that young criminals being transported to jail will see the "mural" and swell with pride, knowing that BLACK LIVES MATTER. It's not racist for them to thus imply that the vast bulk of criminals are bLACK, and they'd certainly never suggest that it was the bLACK residents themselves who peeled out across the mural, which features a homosexual/pervert theme.
