San Francisco tax revenue
plunge points to resident exodus

San Francisco experienced a 43% year-over-year decline in sales tax revenues during the pandemic, which has been credited to an exodus from the expensive city. San Francisco’s chief economist Ted Egan attributed the drop in revenue that occurred between April and June to a flight of individuals from the city, rather than a decline in activity due to the pandemic. Egan told Fox News that while areas throughout California experienced a decline in sales tax revenues, other cities saw an uptick in online sales – but San Francisco did not.

California is run by people who are so rich that they never have to go into public places, where the rest of us live. And they are so narcissistic that they believe that that makes them better than every one else ( the creme de la creme as was said in an earlier time). And they are so absorbed in their world that what happens to the public places doesn’t matter to them, and if what happens to those spaces punishes the creme-wanna-bes, so much the better.

As a resident since 1973 I am saddened that the maniacs running the city are finally killing the golden goose. It’s not the crap on the streets, which isn’t as prevalent as the hysterics say, but the end of fun. San Francisco was the first place to shut down way back in March. It’s still locked up even though it was never hit hard by the virus. The young, affluent tech types who preferred living in exciting San Francisco rather than boring Silicon Valley have no reason to stay. In a futile attempt to tank Trump the Dems are working daily to destroy the city.

The ideology comes FIRST !! This is why they cannot be reasoned with, it's very similar to a religion - no actual proof is needed, it really is a belief or faith and contrary opinions, ideas, thoughts or plans are simply ignored in favor of the ideology ! Simple and VERY difficult to change ! This is also why they carry their 'disease' ( liberalism ) with them to where ever they go to infest and eventually ruin the 'new' home. They will leave their 'utopia' and spread their insanity where ever they go.

San Francisco has long been considered by the rest of California to be a foreign country. There was a time, that I am happy to have enjoyed, when a weekend in San Francisco was a marvelous experience. Great hotels, great restaurants, great shopping. Terrific. But to live there? Never. Here we are in the midst of a once-in-a-half-century pandemic, with the economy flattened, millions of people unemployed, and unrest on the streets of our cities. And President-elect Joe Biden says that one of his highest priorities as president will be to reenter the Paris climate accord. President Trump kept his "put America first" promise and pulled the United States out of this Obama-era treaty. Biden wants us back in. Why? Paris is an unmitigated failure. You don't have to take my word for it. National Geographic, a supporter of climate change action, recently ran the numbers and admitted in its recent headline: "Most countries aren't hitting 2030 climate goals."

Teachers unions have been instrumental in keeping American schools online during the pandemic. But some have escalated their positions on reopening to include an array of social justice demands. A set of demands from teachers unions in July, which addressed how to safely reopen schools amid a pandemic, was criticized by The Wall Street Journal editorial board as “political extortion.” The board argued that unions were taking advantage of a health crisis to advance their own ideological agendas and to eliminate competition from charter schools.

President Trump granted a pardon to Michael Flynn, his former national-security adviser, today. Flynn had pled guilty to lying to FBI agents about conversations, during the 2016 transition, with the Russian ambassador about sanctions. Flynn’s pardon should bring to an end one gross violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers, even as it gives rise to groundless accusations of another. Although Flynn had pled guilty, the circumstances of the case had raised serious concerns about whether the government had proceeded properly. The FBI, for example, questioned Flynn even though it did not appear he had violated any law. In May, Attorney General William Barr ordered the case dropped.

Minnesota is one of a number of states that are living under what amounts to martial law. Our proto-fascist dictator Tim Walz, in his latest edict, purports to ban traditional Thanksgiving get-togethers: Saturday, Nov. 21 through Friday, Dec. 18, Executive Order 20-99 requires all Minnesotans to: * Limit social gatherings to one household. * Not gather outside of your household. * Postpone all celebrations, events, receptions, and parties, including any social gatherings for weddings and funerals. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
