NBA caves! No ‘Black Lives Matter’

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver casually let drop the bombshell news that the NBA will remove the name of the Marxist revolutionary organization Black Lives Matter from its basketball courts and player jerseys next season. This comes following catastrophic ratings declines to all-time lows for the league’s playoff games. (snip) Speaking with friendly interviewer Rachel Nichols of ESPN on that network’s “NBA Countdown” show, at the end of an interview focused mainly on COVID prevention issues, came the following (snip) My sense is there’ll be somewhat a return to normalcy, that those messages will largely be left to be delivered off the floor

If Adam Silver thinks this decision will return the NBA to "normal", he is kidding himself and us. We know what they stand for. Sorry about all those salary cuts, boys.

Too little too late. We know where the players hearts' are on this. How about a video where every single NBA player, coach, and owner denounces BLM as false and anti-American, and they all fall to their knees and beg forgiveness. Then maybe, just maybe, we'll reconsider watching a sport so over-represented by blacks.

One finds it interesting that Cuban has a tiff with Cruz and claims he (Cuban) is for ending racism when he and the NBA are the epitome of racism. Let One dispense with whites as the NBA and Cuban (Dems as well) have hated whites, particularly males, for decades. By placing BLM as the pantheon of favored races, the NBA discriminates against Hispanics, Asians, Indians (Subcontinent), and Native Americans to name a few. The problem with picking favored races is other races suffer discrimination. Cuban and the NBA are finding out that avert racism doesn't attract fans. It insults fans.

We could be mocked and it would not matter because they were playing up to the SJW crowd. Well, what a shame. Now you can start traveling by bus and play to the hypocrites who think keeping score and having a winner is 'unfair.' Those signing bonuses, those unbelievable salaries, kiss them goodbye. Go play for the Chinese, for a couple of years and then sit down when they field their own Chinese league. Zero chance I will watch any game as long as the racist idiot James is playing. They are already announcing the new 2021 season won't start until January or February. They're tired of competing with NFL during November and December when most of those games don't really matter much, and people aren't paying attention. Also, they are looking to only allow partial attendance, which will have impact on season ticketholders, since it's likely they can't see, or attend, a full season, thus, they should not be paying for a full season. It's likely they'll have to let some ticketholders have every-other-game, possibly. Maybe every third or fourth game even. With social distancing among those able to attend.

A graduated income tax should be passed on compensation in excess of a certain level per hour. If a player makes $10 million per year and works 1000 hours per year, that is $10,000 per hour. The rate should be 75% for all compensation over $1,000 per hour, which means graduated tax on compensation over $1 million. The tax is directed at sports figures who like socialism, so should have to pay for it.

Disrespecting the American Flag and the people who risk their lives every day to keep people safe is not a crime that can be forgiven by removing a couple of patches. Conservatives are happily gloating over the fact that Andrew Cuomo is at, or rapidly approaching, his nadir. (snip) Cuomo's pandering has always been coarse, heavy-handed, and insincere. Though he is hardly a closet conservative, and probably genuinely supports these policies, it has always been obvious that Cuomo manipulated leftist identity groups so that they would have no alternative but to vote for him and make him governor-for-life. (Indeed, until only a few weeks ago, Cuomo seemed to be a shoo-in for a fourth term). Eventually, though, it became clear that the leftist identity-politics groups were getting tired of getting the pimp hand from Cuomo

Meghan Markle, it seems, isn't much of a scholar. While much of the focus has been on her barbs accusing the British royal family of abnormal interest in her baby's skin color and denying him a title and personal security protection supposedly because he is black and they are racists, what's striking to me is how unprepared she was for the royal role she sought when she married Prince Harry. I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Though the populist tide seems to have ebbed, it will rise again, and soon. The problem that ignited populist sentiment in the first place, whether on the left or the right, remains: the country’s economic and financial system has failed much of the population and is rigged to the benefit of a government-business elite. Resistance to this inequity elevated Trump and pulled the Democratic Party to the left and will continue to roil American politics until things change. The economy’s “rigging” has developed gradually over time and often from the best of intentions.

Fascism, a form of big government, is hated among conservatives. Outsiders in the mainstream media really piled on the hate. "There will be no policy debates," claimed an MSNBC opinion columnist. That's false. The truth, it seems, was of no value in reporting on this year's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

The Royal Family was left reeling this morning after Meghan Markle tearfully revealed that the stress of royal life made her suicidal when she was five months pregnant, claimed Archie was denied the title of prince because he is mixed-race and said Kate Middleton made her cry before she married Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The couple also chose to reveal that they are having a baby girl to the tens of millions of people watching the CBS show broadcast in the US before accusing the Royal Family of racism and revealing the deep rift 'Megxit' has caused with Prince Charles and Prince William.

Without question, the vast majority of Americans who support former President Donald Trump were angry and frustrated throughout 2020 passed with barely a mention of then-U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal investigation into the FBI’s fraudulent “Russiagate” counterterrorism operation directed at his 2016 campaign. In the weeks before the November election, word got out that then-Attorney General William Barr wasn’t going to announce any indictments or even a report on Durham’s investigation because he did not want to influence the outcome. So far, in fact, the only indictment to come out of the Durham probe is that of former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who essentially got a slap on the wrist

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

“There must have been a moment, at the beginning, when we could have said –-no. But somehow we missed it.” Tom Stoppard The millions of Americans who were paying attention throughout the 2020 election campaign all became painfully aware of the fact that Joe Biden’s cognitive abilities were slipping and slipping fast. His wife, as the person closest to him, should have been the one to call the campaign quits in order to reduce stress on the man. Instead, apparently so anxious to become the First Lady by any means necessary, Mrs. Biden continued to push her failing husband’s campaign forward as if he were mentally qualified.
