As I heard the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals judges who denied General Flynn’s petition for a writ of mandamus — opinion here — they expected Judge Sullivan to dismiss the case against Flynn on the government’s motion without further ado when the case was returned to him. This past Tuesday Judge Sullivan held the hearing on the government’s dismissal motion and, on the contrary, it sounds like the case will be dismissed over Judge Sullivan’s dead body. The Washington Post has a long account of the hearing here as does Politico here.
Politico quotes Judge Sullivan: “The sentencing has already commenced in this case.”

Can anyone stop this madness? It appears that judges can become little dictators without any oversight. How is that possible in the United States? We all know what Sullivan is doing. He is going to hold on to this case until after the election to keep Gen. Flynn from talking. These partisan hacks in black robes are the antithesis of justice. They pervert justice and then dare anyone to interfere and guess what? No one does and the innocent suffer. Gen. Flynn has been persecuted by a judicial system that is totally out of control. We need oversight when these rogue judges go off the plantation and begin acting like tin pot dictators with zero regard for the law. As Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, does John Roberts have any responsibility for oversight of the judiciary? If not, someone needs to create a system to deal with these out of control judges. If he does have any responsibility to oversee these judges, he should step up because Sullivan is out of control and Flynn’s civil rights are being violated.

Our out-of-control federal "judiciary" is begging for a reckoning.

Why hasn’t anyone involved in falsely accusing Gen Flynn of lying to the FBI been charged with violating federal laws on false imprisonment? And for withholding evidence for over 3 years that would have shown that there was never a reason to question Flynn about his phone call to the Russian ambassador? The continuing failures of the DoJ and FBI to obey and enforce our laws has allowed Sullivan to serve as Obama’s servant in delaying justice for Flynn.
Worse, it was Obama’s VP who participated in the early 2017 conspiracy to get Trump to fire Flynn in order to keep a legal muzzle on Obama’s disgusting actions with Iran. Biden is now within 28 days of becoming President without being charged in yet another Obama directed coup.

So, I gather the answer is "NO". There isn't anything or anyone who can force this Judge to step down. If true, that's a shame. I find it hard to believe there is no recourse when a Judge, like Sullivan, goes rogue!

I think the supreme court needs to address the freedom of speech aspect, regarding a judge issuing "gag orders" for months on end.
This is what is at the root of this case...the swamp keeping Flynn quiet through election day.

I believe it was Clarence Darrow who commented, "I have never killed a man but I have read some obituaries with pleasure."
I will read Judge Sullivan's obituary with pleasure. He is a very evil, despicable man and should be removed from the bench.

Sullivan can be impeached, but that is a political process and I doubt it can be actually done. For a federal judge like Sullivan, the process is the same as for the President. The House would impeach (indict) by a simple majority vote, but to convict requires a 2/3 vote in the Senate. In these partisan times, even if the Republicans have the House and Senate, it will be by a small margins and getting 2/3 to support in the Senate for removal because of his extreme political partisanship will attract Republicans but Dems will see him as doing their work.
Short answer, as a practical matter, only God can remove Sullivan.

At what point does the counsel for the defendant, Gen Flynn, and the counsel for the government, are able to go to the Supreme Court for remedy? Obviously, Judge Sullivan or the DC District Court are not prepared to provide justice and closure.

Perhaps he's dragging his feet on his assumption that Biden wins. Then there will be a new Biden DOJ. They will reinstate the charges and he will sentence Flynn to jail.
And the investigation into the Russian Hoax will be discarded and all the investigation materials destroyed so as to fulfill the cover up of the coup.

This is on congress, for refusal to rein in these activist judges who rule illegally. They rule on rhetoric or protecting Obama vs actually ruling on the law. They should be impeached, every single last one of them, and would be if we had an honest House in congress.

Does anyone really think that Nancy Pelosi and Jerry Nadler would ever commence impeachment proceedings?
Even if Republicans were to win the House, they'd be crazy to impeach Sullivan--it would be raciss.
At some point, Flynn either needs a renewed writ of mandamus hearing, or an appeal from the Circuit Court decision to the Supreme Court.

#1- “As Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, does John Roberts ...” / According to recent news accounts, Ted Cruz believes that Chief Justice Roberts hates President Trump, and that it’s personal: “It is difficult to come up with two human beings more antithetical than John Roberts and Donald Trump, in every respect...” Perhaps the personal hatred of President Trump would deter Justice Roberts from doing anything to help General Flynn because General Flynn had been selected by President Trump to be this country’s 24th National Security Advisor until he was forced to resign after 22 days.
