A tidal wave from the mainstream media is speculating whether the two remaining debates between President Trump and Joe Biden should even be held after their brutal first showdown Tuesday night in Cleveland. There appears to be a wide consensus about the messy and ugly nature of the first debate -- which was filled with interruptions and insults. Two more debated are scheduled for Oct. 15 and Oct. 22, with a vice presidential debate set for Oct. 7. During MSNBC's post-debate coverage, "ReidOut" host Joy Reid questioned her colleague Nicolle Wallace, who has worked on presidential campaigns in the past, if Biden should bother showing up to the next debate.

This was the plan all along. Do whatever it takes to get and keep Joe vertically and halfway making sense. Then cancel the next two debates. I am sure the debate took its toll. Any bets on whether or not Joe will physically be able to show his face today? Definitely on something. His eyes had a weird look to them. It was a pitiful display last night. Chris Wallace could not have been more biased. The Republican Party should rethink its acceptance of moderators who are so biased. America deserves better. The mics should be turned off when the other person is answering a question and I like the idea of a buzzer.

Trump was accurate but his delivery and manners could have been better. Biden offered absolutely no solution to his wild promises for a socialist utopia and denied that son Hunter received any money from anybody - huge mistake that will come back to bite. He also attacked Trump's handling of COVID-19, which had better results than the rest of the world.

I call bogus on #5. It is always the same criticism that he should be more presidential - his delivery and manners could be better. He is a fighter and a scrapper but the gloves came off in 2016 when Megyn Kelly started the first round. I am tired of Donald Trump being microscopically picked apart and the Democrat being given the advantage. Chris Wallace was that advantage for Joe Biden.

Imagine had any Republican candidate, no matter how ensconced in DC politics, had called a sitting Democrat President a "clown" or told him to "shut up?" I think he appealed to the leftist base, but who knows how that resonated with moderates, independents, or libertarians? Would Joke Biden call Putin or Xi a "clown?" He lied repeatedly on stage, which most people could also recognize, especially about withholding $1 billion in aid to Ukraine. Give it up Joe, we have it on tape in your own words.

I thought Biden's eyes looked funny as well. That said, Wallace interrupted Trump way too many times and let Biden ramble on and on. Biden skirted many questions. Trump took all of them and ran with them. I didn't expect a fair Debate by Wallace. He hates Trump. But, I thought Trump handled it well. I would have liked Trump not to interrupt so much because some of the times Biden was talking he would have gone down the Rabbit Hole if Trump had just let him ramble on! If there is another Debate, I think Biden has a good idea what he's up against. Of course, the next debate will be a Town Hall Forum, so we can be sure Biden will get the questions (that members of the audience will ask) ahead of time. As it was, last night Biden had all of his answers written. He spent more time looking down than he did looking at the TV Cameras!

I told Mrs G2P last night, right after the debate, the Marxist main marquee would be that Trump refused to denounce the KKK. He's only done it a dozen or more times in the past three years but Trump wasn't allowed to get to it and that opportunity was missed. The insults from Biden, the debate that Trump had with Wallace, the interruptions from Wallace on EVERY point Trump tried to make, the Wallace-Biden piling on attempts, the Wallace NEVER challenging Biden except with one under hand soft ball pitch, it was so one sided and Trump simply fought back against open and up front Marxist false premises all night. It looked like a food fight with no winners but the fact that Trump demonstrated leadership by NOT allowing the Wallace Marxism nor Biden Marxist lying was something I realized this morning, reflecting on the whole mix master mess last night.

Despite the ugliness of last night, I give much credit to Trump to stand his ground and call out Wallace and Bite Me for what they are. Trump should insist on having the remaining two debates. It will be up to Bite Me to show he is medically able to debate without having the zombie look. I suspect this morning, he is sedated and on an IV of anti-depressive and anti-sundowning meds. Wallace's performance ignored America's core problems - 1) societal decay, 2) the looming collapse of America's and the world's financial systems and the plan to work through it, and 3) restoring economic prosperity near-term and long-term. I'll give Wallace a D- for last night. Shame on Fox News for this debacle. Let's get better moderators and improve the debate format. Since the msm is now pushing to cancel the remaining two debates, that means Trump came out of last night ok and that Bite Me's bad health was on full display for all to see.

#17 - Your observation, "...Trump demonstrated leadership by NOT allowing the Wallace Marxism nor Biden Marxist lying..." is the most insightful comment about the debate I've read this morning. Combat is unnerving to witness and it makes people uncomfortable, willing to do anything to make it stop. Despite our understanding of the dire situation America is facing and the necessity for a vigorous defense, many are calling into question our champion's tactics in defense of liberty. Time and again President Trump has come between us and disaster, I'll not question any device of his. I wasn't surprised by the battle last night. In the Catholic liturgical calendar September 29th is the Feast Day of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. The debate was really a fight between the Archangels and the evil spirits possessing the Marxists. Its not often we mere humans can witness the Great Heavenly Warriors conduct a battle openly on the human plane. For prayer warriors this is a really good sign. The next debate is between Pence and Heels Up on October 7th, the Feast Day of Our Lady of the Rosary. It is in honor of the 16th century Battle of Lepanto when Christian Europe turned back the Islamic tide. Throughout the crisis the faithful of Europe offered daily rosaries enlisting the aid of our Blessed Mother in the cause of their defense. So, the next batter in the line-up for the Communion of Saints in the defense of America is our nation's own patron saint, the Mother of Christ. Should be interesting. I urge my fellow Catholics to do few laps around the beads. The United States of America is still one nation under God...and Donald J. Trump is His champion. And #17, please give my regards to Mrs. G2P - from one Trumpette to another.

Food pantries for months have relied on a government-sponsored food box program to serve a spike in needy families during the pandemic. But the latest batch of boxes includes an item some find unpalatable as the election nears: a letter signed by President Donald Trump. The letter, printed in both English and Spanish on White House letterhead, highlights the Farmers to Families Food Box program and includes general safety information for preventing COVID-19 transmission. It does not mention the Nov. 3 election, but some local food pantries say it’s inappropriate and plan to remove the letter before distributing the boxes to families.

Amy Coney Barrett is President Donald Trump’s latest nominee for the Supreme Court, and the scramble is already underway to read the inner workings of her mind on everything from abortion to where she sits on the spectrum from originalism to the “living Constitution.” Thanks to Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court, however, the question that should be on the top of every senator’s list is not merely how Barrett construes the Constitution, but how she reads the plain text of statutes, period. Barrett herself agrees, writing in a law review article this year that a textualist — which is how she identifies herself — “hews closely to the rules

Since The American Mind began nearly two years ago, we have consistently warned of the regime-level crisis caused by the corruption of the content of American education. The recent riots and the ongoing cultural revolution fomented by identity politics has helped prove our point. It is now clearer to Americans that if we do not change course, decades of anti-American propaganda and identitarian teaching in our schools will result in a fundamental overthrow of our system of government. Just two weeks ago the Trump administration hosted—to our great shock—the very first White House Conference on American History.

A  hot mess does not make for a great debate. Or an interesting one or even an entertaining one. America was mistreated Tuesday. Worse, it was annoying. Neither the candidates or moderator Chris Wallace acquitted themselves well. Joe Biden was sharp and coherent enough, though he relied heavily on notes in front of him.
