Crude oil prices ended the trading session w/w on a bearish note, with losses of more than 6% on the basis that oil traders continued to worry over the outlook for energy demand, as well as a weekly surge in U.S. crude inventories raised fears that the energy market might soon be in an oil glut era.

Comments:

Giant tankers being leased globally not to ship crude, but to store it. The era of OPEC dictating higher prices is over. The danger now is crashing the market. Today's price is only $37.55.

Oil tankers have always been used for storage and speculation. What kills me in this article is the "Duh, what could be happening> Are we at peak demand?" Yes we are at peak demand. Now. half the world is shut down. Open the world that is the US, and the oil market and demand come back. Does it come back to pre-Covid? The answer is who knows? The economy is too dynamic ro tell

Not too take any credit away from President Trump but this is one reason the Arabs seem to be mellowing. The ME no longer has the world by the shorthairs concerning oil. I am old enough to remember 1973 oil embargo that the OPEC nations threw at us in an attempt to stop us from supporting Israel. They had leverage then. No longer the case today and perhaps some saner heads there have determined that maybe their savage stone age religion is not a very good reason to cling to medieval hate.

If Biden wins, look for Obama-era gas prices at around $4 a gallon. No, I'm not joking. Biden has promised to continue Obama's war against fossil fuels -- and that includes an attack on fracking and oil exploration in Alaska.

While the Penzeys Spices store in Kenosha was not damaged during violent protests in the city, its CEO wants to "loot" his own store. Bill Penzey wrote to customers of his Wauwatosa-based chain of spice shops that he supports the mission behind the protests in Kenosha in response to a police officer shooting Jacob Blake in the back seven times at close range. "Someone wrote to say that you would be singing a different tune if it was your store being looted," Penzey wrote in the email. "I'm by no means perfect but seriously no, I wouldn't. Human life means everything; stuff, not so much."

Who knew Wisconsin Republicans were such big fans of Kanye West? The rapper's campaign turned in a number of signatures on Tuesday in a bid to get on the November presidential ballot in Wisconsin. He is making similar attempts in Ohio, Arkansas and West Virginia. Reid Magney, spokesman for the state Elections Commission, said it could be several days before officials confirm that West has enough valid signatures to appear on the ballot as an independent candidate representing the Birthday Party.

The NBA’s greatest fear was a player radical enough to go beyond its collectively bargained, wink-wink, nod-nod “protest,” not a player so radical that he would protest the protest in the other direction. But Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac felt so compelled to work his way into the loophole, a Black player doing the unthinkable of sorts, refusing to kneel during Friday’s national anthem and eschewing the Black Lives Matter shirt all the players have been warming up in the re-start at Walt Disney World.

Abuse, trauma and violence have marked the adult life of the 22-year-old Milwaukee woman charged this weekend in her toddler daughter’s shooting death. Prosecutors say Jasmine C. Daniels was “playing around” with her gun last Tuesday when it went off, killing her 2-year-old daughter, Zymeiia Stevens. Seven months prior, according to authorities, she discovered her infant son dead after napping with him on her bed.

Kanye West has dropped his 2020 presidential bid, according to a new report. The 43-year-old rapper's campaign has reportedly been suspended less than two weeks after he shocked the nation with a tweet that confirmed his decision to run for president of the United States in November. According to a new report from Intelligencer, a "get-out-the-vote specialist" named Steve Kramer claims West is already "out" after the Yeezy founder hired both "paid and volunteer" staff to help him secure signatures in Florida and South Carolina to get him on the ballot.

ore Americans say former Vice President Joe Biden has the mental clarity to be president versus Donald Trump, according to the latest Fox News poll released Sunday. Despite the Trump campaign and the president himself repeatedly questioning the mental acuity of Biden, a larger percentage of U.S. adults say they believe the Democratic presidential candidate has the traits best suited for the job. A slight majority of likely voters—51 percent—told Fox News they believe Biden, 77, has the "mental soundness" to be president, compared to 47 percent who say the same about Trump, 74.

I’m not anti-mask, per se. There, I said it. If you’ve been reading my rants, er, columns on the topic these past few months, you might get another idea though, and I understand that. It certainly SEEMS like I’m anti-mask, and you’d be forgiven for thinking that was the case. That doesn’t mean that I like wearing them, of course. They’re uncomfortable and stifling and, frankly, disgusting. Even so, I WOULD wear them, when necessary, if the arguments the mask-proponents used to con almost the entire world into accepting and even mandating the practice were actually, well, true. Ah, but there’s the rub, right?

This year’s presidential election confronts voters with the most consequential choice they have faced in decades, and for many, their lifetimes: between a divisive, authoritarian-leaning incumbent and a seasoned patriot who brings not only five decades of experience, ability and commitment to American values, but also bold ideas at a time of national crisis. Nothing less than the health of our constitutional democracy is at stake. So stark is the contrast between Donald Trump and Joe Biden that we feel compelled to announce our endorsement of the Democratic nominee and his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris of California, now, at what is traditionally the beginning of the fall campaign and before

Normally, I would spurn the idea of citing an anonymous post that purports to contain inside information on a presidential candidate. But two factors currently weigh on my mind, causing me to make an exception. One is that MSM Trump-haters have no compunction at all over relying exclusively on anonymous sources (snip) But the other factor is more serious and directly relevant to the anonymous post I am about to cite. The Biden campaign clearly is hiding their candidate from exposure to circumstances that might test his mental acuity and vigor on a sustained basis. We now have direct evidence that the campaign has been deceiving the public by using a teleprompter

I woke up in the morning wondering about the dark red rays coming from behind the curtain. While I expected the darkened sky, the degree of darkness and the fact that I couldn’t smell fire surprised me. Northern California fires have become increasingly common over the last decade as a consequence of mismanaging the environment. Native Americans staged controlled burns to safeguard their villages and create favorable hunting conditions. We failed to emulate that practice, and, as even Mother Jones concedes, so much fuel accumulated in the wilderness that megafires began burning year after year.

San Francisco, Calif. -- The Poopalosi protestor live streamed this performance piece from Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s residence in the posh Presidio Terrace neighborhood on YouTube. Within hours of posting on Friday, Lifes Mavrek, the moniker on YouTube of this Cuban-American vagabond, raised thousands of dollars and generated tens of thousands of views.

The strength of America’s elections lies in people’s confidence that votes will be fairly tallied, and that the losing party will bow out gracefully and become the loyal opposition. But what if a loser refuses to acknowledge the results of a free and fair election? What if it instead takes to the streets to commit violence and mayhem? Or even attempts a coup? We ask because there’s every sign now that the Democrats, in a panic over candidate Joe Biden’s lackluster basement campaign and growing evidence that he is suffering age-related mental impairment, will refuse to acknowledge President Donald Trump

Were the Republicans to run a Catholic for president who supported, say, segregation, the bishops wouldn’t hesitate to condemn that figure and warn their congregations not to vote for him. But the bishops apply no such condemnation or warning to Joe Biden, who is a dissenter in favor of abortion rights and gay marriage. Even Biden’s officiating at gay marriages, an egregiously disobedient act for a Catholic, is met with silence from most bishops. While Pope Francis felt no reservations about condemning Trump’s faith — he called him “not Christian” for supporting border walls — he and his like-minded bishops refuse to question Biden’s
